Iowa City, Iowa

Iowa City is a city in Johnson County, Iowa, United States. It is the only City of Literature in North America, as awarded by UNESCO in 2008, as of the 2010 Census, the city had a total population of about 67,862. The U. S. Census Bureau estimated the 2015 population at 74,220, Iowa City is the county seat of Johnson County and home to the University of Iowa. Iowa City is the city of the Iowa City Metropolitan Statistical Area. Iowa City was the capital of the Iowa Territory and the first capital city of the State of Iowa. The Old Capitol building is a National Historic Landmark in the center of the University of Iowa campus, the University of Iowa Art Museum and Plum Grove, the home of the first Governor of Iowa, are also tourist attractions. In 2008, Forbes magazine named Iowa City the second-best small metropolitan area for doing business in the United States. Commissioners Chauncey Swan and John Ronalds met on May 1 in the settlement of Napoleon, south of present-day Iowa City. The following day the commissioners selected a site on bluffs above the Iowa River north of Napoleon, placed a stake in the center of the proposed site and began planning the new capital city. Commissioner Swan, in a report to the legislature in Burlington, described the site, there is an eminence on the west near the river, running parallel with it. By June of that year, the town had been platted and surveyed from Brown St. in the north to Burlington St. in the south, and from the Iowa River eastward to Governor St. While Iowa City was selected as the capital in 1839, it did not officially become the capital city until 1841. The capitol building was completed in 1842, and the last four territorial legislatures and the first six Iowa General Assemblies met there until 1857, John F. Rague is credited with designing the Territorial Capitol Building. He had previously designed the 1837 capitol of Illinois and was supervising its construction when he got the commission to design the new Iowa capitol in 1839. He quit the Iowa project after five months, claiming his design was not followed, one surviving 1839 sketch of the proposed capital shows a radically different layout, with two domes and a central tower. The cornerstone of the Old Capitol Building was laid in Iowa City on July 4,1840, Iowa City was declared the state capital of Iowa, and the government convened in the Old Capitol Building. Oakland Cemetery was deeded to the people of Iowa City by the Iowa territorial legislature on February 13,1843, the original plot was one block square, with the southwest corner at Governor and Church. Glendale, Arizona

Glendale /ˈɡlɛndeɪl/ is a city in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States, located about nine miles northwest from Downtown Phoenix. According to the 2010 census, the population of the city is 226,721, in the late 1800s what is now known as Glendale, Arizona, was all desert. He completed the canal, which would bring water to the desert land, Murphy was deep in debt, since he had agreed to be paid in Arizona Canal Company stock and bonds and land instead of cash. In 1887, Murphy formed the Arizona Improvement Company and his objective was to sell the land and water rights south of the canal. Murphy had to raise capital from out of state sources in order to meet payroll, Murphy decided to refer to this land as Glendale. In 1891, Burgess Hadsell worked with Murphy to bring 70 Brethren, soon settlers, attracted by the towns ban on alcoholic beverages, continued to arrive. In 1895, Murphy platted the town site and amended the plat to include a town park. It was bounded by Lamar Road on the south, 55th Avenue on the east, Myrtle Avenue on the north, the construction of a railroad from Prescott to Phoenix was made possible with an exchange of the right-of-way made by Murphy along Grand Avenue. The railroad allowed Glendale settlers to transport goods to the north, the construction and commercial applications of the Beet Sugar Factory in 1906, also contributed to the growth of Glendale. Though the operations of the factory lasted until 1913, it played an important role in the increase of immigrant and migrant settlers in the city. City Attorney Craig Tindall resigned his city post in 2013 upon request of the mayor, Tindall was subsequently the subject of an ethics complaint regarding his purported conflict of interest between his work for IceArizona and his Glendale post. He was still receiving city severance pay at the time IceArizona hired him, the complaint was filed by former city councilmember Phil Lieberman. After Tindall resigned from the City of Glendale, a press release announced that he had joined the well-known Phoenix law firm Fennemore Craig, Glendale is located at 33°32′19″N 112°11′11″W. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has an area of 55.8 square miles. As of the census of 2000, there were 218,812 people,75,700 households, the population density was 3,929.5 people per square mile. There were 79,667 housing units at a density of 1,430.7 per square mile. Alternative rock

Alternative rock is a genre of rock music that emerged from the independent music underground of the 1980s and became widely popular in the 1990s and 2000s. In this instance, the word refers to the genres distinction from mainstream rock music. The terms original meaning was broader, referring to a generation of musicians unified by their debt to either the musical style or simply the independent. Ethos of punk rock, which in the late 1970s laid the groundwork for alternative music, Alternative rock is a broad umbrella term consisting of music that differs greatly in terms of its sound, its social context, and its regional roots. Most of these subgenres had achieved minor mainstream notice and a few bands representing them, such as Hüsker Dü, with the breakthrough of Nirvana and the popularity of the grunge and Britpop movements in the 1990s, alternative rock entered the musical mainstream and many alternative bands became successful. By the end of the decade, alternative rocks mainstream prominence declined due to a number of events that caused grunge and Britpop to fade, emo attracted attention in the larger alternative rock world, and the term was applied to a variety of artists, including multi-platinum acts. Post-punk revival artists such as Modest Mouse and The Killers had commercial success in the early, before the term alternative rock came into common usage around 1990, the sort of music to which it refers was known by a variety of terms. In 1979, Terry Tolkin used the term Alternative Music to describe the groups he was writing about, in 1979 Dallas radio station KZEW had a late night new wave show entitled Rock and Roll Alternative. College rock was used in the United States to describe the music during the 1980s due to its links to the radio circuit. In the United Kingdom, dozens of small do it yourself record labels emerged as a result of the punk subculture, according to the founder of one of these labels, Cherry Red, NME and Sounds magazines published charts based on small record stores called Alternative Charts. The first national chart based on distribution called the Indie Chart was published in January 1980, at the time, the term indie was used literally to describe independently distributed records. By 1985, indie had come to mean a particular genre, or group of subgenres, at first the term referred to intentionally non–mainstream rock acts that were not influenced by heavy metal ballads, rarefied new wave and high-energy dance anthems. The use of alternative gained further exposure due to the success of Lollapalooza, for which festival founder, in the late 1990s, the definition again became more specific. Defining music as alternative is often difficult because of two conflicting applications of the word, the name alternative rock essentially serves as an umbrella term for underground music that has emerged in the wake of punk rock since the mid-1980s. Alternative bands during the 1980s generally played in clubs, recorded for indie labels. Sounds range from the gloomy soundscapes of gothic rock to the guitars of indie pop to the dirty guitars of grunge to the 1960s/1970s revivalism of Britpop. This approach to lyrics developed as a reflection of the social and economic strains in the United States and United Kingdom of the 1980s, by 1984, a majority of groups signed to independent record labels mined from a variety of rock and particularly 1960s rock influences. Indie rock is a genre of alternative rock that originated in the United States and the United Kingdom in the 1980s. Originally used to independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock. In the mid-1980s, the term began to be used to describe the music produced on punk and post-punk labels. Some prominent indie rock record labels were founded during the 1980s, during the 1990s, Grunge bands broke into the mainstream, and the term alternative lost its original counter-cultural meaning. The term indie rock became associated with the bands and genres that remained dedicated to their independent status, by the end of the 1990s indie rock developed subgenres and related styles including lo-fi, noise pop, emo, slowcore, post-rock and math rock. In the 2000s, changes in the industry and in music technology enabled a new wave of indie rock bands to achieve mainstream success. In the early 2000s, a new group of bands played a stripped-down. The commercial breakthrough from these scenes was led by four bands, The Strokes, The White Stripes, The Hives, emo also broke into mainstream culture in the early 2000s. By the end of the 2000s the proliferation of bands was being referred to as indie landfill. The term indie rock, which comes from independent, describes the small and relatively low-budget labels on which it is released, the influences and styles of the artists have been extremely diverse, including punk, psychedelia, post-punk and country. Allmusic identifies indie rock as including a number of varying musical approaches compatible with mainstream tastes, in fact, there is an everlasting list of genres and subgenres of indie rock. Many countries have developed a local indie scene, flourishing with bands with enough popularity to survive inside the respective country. However, there are still indie bands that start off locally, Indie rock has been identified as a reaction against the macho culture that developed in alternative rock in the aftermath of Nirvanas success. However, Cortney Harding pointed out that this sense of equality is not reflected in the number of women running indie labels. The BBC documentary Music for Misfits, The Story of Indie pinpoints the birth of indie as the 1977 self-publication of the Spiral Scratch EP by Manchester band Buzzcocks, Indie pop and indie were originally synonymous. In the mid-1980s, indie began to be used to describe the music produced on post-punk labels rather than the labels themselves. The indie rock scene in the US was prefigured by the rock that dominated college radio playlists. Baroque pop

Baroque pop is a pop music subgenre that fuses classical music, orchestral pop, rock, and Baroque music. It is identifiable for its use of melodies, functional harmony patterns. The genre emerged in the 1960s after pop musicians and record producers began placing the harpsichord in the foreground of their arrangements, other typical baroque pop instrumentation includes string sections, French horns, and oboes. Baroque pops mainstream popularity faded by the 1970s, partially because punk rock, disco and hard rock took over, nonetheless, music was still produced within the genres tradition. Philadelphia soul in the 1970s and chamber pop in the 1990s both incorporated the spirit of baroque pop while the latter contested much of the low fidelity musical aesthetic. Baroque pop, stylistically, fuses elements of rock with classical music, often incorporating layered harmonies, strings and its prominent characteristics are the use of contrapuntal melodies and functional harmony patterns. It was intended to be a serious and mature outgrowth of rock music. English baroque is used by journalist Bob Stanley to describe a subset that existed between 1968 and 1973, starting in the 1960s, pop musicians and record producers like Phil Spector and the Beach Boys Brian Wilson began placing the harpsichord in the foreground of their arrangements. Harpsichords were widely available in recording studios, and had used in popular music since as early as the 1940s. One of the first pop hits to use a harpsichord was the Jamies Summertime, Summertime. Later examples range from the Beach Boys I Get Around and When I Grow Up to the Righteous Brothers Youve Lost That Lovin Feelin and the Mamas & the Papas Monday, Monday. The Boston Globes Matthew Guerriri speculates that the harpsichord may have been desirable for its buzzing, stinging timbre, slates Forrest Wickman credits Wilson and the Beatles producer, George Martin, as some of the men most responsible for the move into baroque pop. Along with Burt Bacharach, Spector had melded pop music with classical elements before they were melded with rock, writer Andrew Jackson suggests that the era of baroque pop in which rock melded with classical elements was prefaced by the Rolling Stones and Brian Wilson. The Beatles benefited from the music skills of Martin, who played a baroque harpsichord solo on the song In My Life. Author Joe Harrington noted that after its release, many baroque-rock works would soon appear, producer Tommy LiPuma believed, Once the Beatles featured that harpsichord sound on In My Life, pop producers began working it in. The genre is traced to the United States and the United Kingdom, by early 1966, various groups began using baroque and classical instrumentation, described as a baroque rock movement by Gendron. The Zombies single Shes Not There marked a point for British baroque pop. Stanley explains that the song didnt feature any oboes but stuck out rather dramatically in 1964, Shes Not There would inspire New York musician Michael Brown to form the Left Banke, whose song Walk Away Renée is considered by Stanley to be the first recognizable baroque pop single

Fueled by Ramen LLC is an American record label owned by Warner Music Group with distribution from one of the companys main labels, Atlantic Records. The label, founded in Gainesville, Florida, is now based in New York City, the name of the label was inspired by only being able to afford a diet of inexpensive ramen at the time, due to having invested most of their money into making records. In 2004, Fall Out Boys Pete Wentz introduced Fueled By Ramen to fellow Chicago pop rock outfit The Academy Is. who released their debut album Almost Here, the following year. In September 2005, Decaydance and Fueled By Ramen released A Fever You Cant Sweat Out, in 2006, Vinnie Fiorello left the label, citing disagreements in the direction of future signees and loss of passion in the music the label was investing itself in. Panic. at the Discos second studio album Pretty, odd. achieved similar success, debuting at number 2 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling over 139,000 copies its first week, and gaining platinum success. Later in 2016, Panic. at the Discos fifth studio album Death of a Bachelor debuted at number 1, selling 196,000 copies in its first week and this list was compiled based on information found on the Fueled by Ramen website and the labels discography. The Format

The Format was an American indie rock band formed by Nate Ruess and Sam Means. The band announced a hiatus on February 4,2008 and their style can be considered a mixture of indie, alternative, punk and folk music, with elements of 1960s and 1970s pop music. The Format chose their name to make fun of the music industrys inclination towards a cookie-cutter format for a hit. The duos first single, aptly titled The First Single from their five song demo, EP, became popular on Phoenix radio station KEDJ. Their first studio album, Interventions + Lullabies, recorded and produced by R. Walt Vincent, the bands fan base grew due to word of mouth, the Internet, and extensive touring. The album sold over 100,000 copies in the US, after Elektra folded, The Format released a second EP, Snails, with sister label Atlantic Records in April 2005. But Atlantic Records executives were not impressed by the 1970s-pop-influenced demos, upon completing the album, Dog Problems, Ruess and Means, with help from their management company, decided to release it themselves through their newly established imprint label, The Vanity Label. Two months prior to the release, an MP3 version was leaked to the internet. Dog Problems was released in stores on July 11,2006, following the release of Dog Problems, The Format gained more attention, receiving high marks from various publications, even topping some Best of 2006 lists. In 2006 The Format toured near constantly, supporting their own album Dog Problems as well as supporting The All American Rejects in September in the UK. The Japanese edition of Dog Problems, featuring a cover of Jellyfishs Glutton of Sympathy as a track, was released on January 24,2007. On June 25,2007, celebrating the anniversary of Dog Problems, The Format offered the album in its entirety, including the liner notes in PDF form. The offer was valid from June 25 to July 16,2007, as of July 10,2007,36,000 people had downloaded the album. Please understand this was a decision and were both upset about it. We also want to thank everyone with and within the Format, particularly Mike, Don, and Marko and we both suggest you support their musical talents and whatever they decide to do. Fun is an American indie pop band based in New York City. It was formed by Nate Ruess, former singer of The Format, with Andrew Dost of Anathallo. Fun has released two albums, Aim and Ignite in August 2009 and Some Nights in February 2012, the band is best known for three hit singles from Some Nights, Grammy Award-winning We Are Young, Some Nights, and Carry On. We Are Young reached number one on the U. S. Billboard Hot 100 and it also peaked at number one in the United Kingdom. On February 10,2013, Fun won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist, additionally, Fun was a nominee for four other Grammy Awards, Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo or Group Performance along with Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. In February 2008, Nate Ruesss former band The Format split up, immediately afterwards, Nate Ruess asked Andrew Dost and Jack Antonoff to join his new project. Dost had toured with The Format and provided instrumentation. The three began working together in New Jersey within a week, Ruess sang melodies while the other two provided music for them. The first demo song the band recorded was Benson Hedges, which was available free in Spins August 20,2008 article on the band. In November of 2008, fun embarked on their first tour opening for Jacks Mannequin and their first show was played in Denver, Colorado on November 5th,2008. A couple of demos and covers from other bands were performed. Fun then approached Steven McDonald, who produced The Formats album Dog Problems with Ruess, McDonald was enthusiastic about the project and stated, I can’t believe what we’re working on here. This crushes anything I’ve ever done, recording took place in the fall of 2008. The bands first single, At Least Im Not as Sad As I Used to Be was made available as a download on the bands Myspace page on April 6,2009. Aim and Ignite was released on August 25,2009 and received positive reviews, absolutePunk. nets Drew Beringer praised the album, stating it was what a pop album should sound like and the most essential pop album of 2009. Estella Hung of PopMatters was less impressed with the album and she praised songs Be Calm and The Gambler, but criticized the lyrics and production of the albums early tracks. Hung concluded that while Aim and Ignite is pretty original to say the least, popdoses Ken Shane called the album an interesting and unusual listen. Shane applauded the albums songwriting and said many of the songs are really good and he ended his review with, I have a similar problem with Dr. Dog, a band that was recommended to me by a number of people

Deer Valley High School is a public high school located in Glendale, Arizona, part of the Deer Valley Unified School District. The school opened its doors in 1980 with an enrollment of 750 students. Today, the campus is housed on more than 60 acres with a current enrollment of about 1,900 students, Deer Valley High School has been recognized for student achievements in a range of academics and athletics. The school is run by over 100 teachers, five counselors, one psychologist, four administrators, the 2011 renovation was the first major renovations to the school since its 1980 construction. Deer Valley High School offers all Arizona Interscholastic Association-sanctioned sports as of the 2011-2012 school year. Since 1985, the school has won 10 state titles, three in softball, two in cross country, and one each in boys track and field, boys tennis, baseball, boys volleyball. The Deer Valley Performance Jazz Ensemble was selected to perform at the 60th Annual Midwest Clinic in 2006, the Performance Jazz Ensemble has won three national contests, has been national runners-up twice, and was featured at the 2005 and 2006 Arizona Music Educators Conference. The Marching Band has performed in the Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Tournament of Roses Parade, the school hosted its own jazz festival and hosts the DVUSD marching bands exhibition. The 2006-2007 Marching Band received a rating of Superior with Distinction at the 2006 State Marching Festival, the Performance Jazz Ensemble was invited to perform at the 2007 Western International Band Clinic in Seattle. On October 20,2007 the Marching Band received the Rating of Superior at the Arizona State University Band Day, as well as awards for Outstanding Music, Visual, GE and Auxiliary. The Performance Jazz Ensemble most recently had a work commissioned by Fred Sturm called Skyhawk, the Deer Valley Skyhawk Marching Band won the 2014 Division II AZ State Championships with a performance score of 85. EP was the first EP and first release by American rock band, The Format. It was self-released on August 9,2002 and it was re-released on September 30,2003 via Western Tread Recordings, which is owned by Jim Adkins of Jimmy Eat World. The success of The First Single on Phoenix rock radio station KEDJ caught the attention of major record labels. There exists a rare demo of At the Wake, with its former title Piano Song this version of the songs includes a longer intro and different lyrics. The original self-released version of EP had a color scheme. Western Treads first pressing had a red scheme, the second had a brown color scheme. The simple title of this caused much confusion among fans. The correct title is simply EP, all tracks written by Sam Means and Nate Ruess

Elektra Records is an American record label owned by Warner Music Group, founded in 1950 by Jac Holzman and Paul Rickolt. It played an important role in the development of folk music. In 2004, it was consolidated into WMGs Atlantic Records Group, after five years of dormancy, the label was revived as an imprint of Atlantic in 2009. The label has been run by Gregg Nadel since 2015 who officially became its president in 2017, Elektra was formed in 1950 by Jac Holzman and Paul Rickolt in Holzmans St. Johns College dorm room. The usual spelling of the Greek mythological Pleiad Electra was changed, Holzman famously explained, I gave her the ‘K’ that I lacked. He found the C in the name too soft but liked the solid bite of the letter K. The first Elektra LP, New Songs, was a collection of Lieder and similar art songs, Holzman also recorded Josh White, who was without a record deal as a result of McCarthyite blacklisting. In 1964, Elektra launched Nonesuch Records and this classical budget label was the best-selling budget classical label of the era. In 1965, Elektra began a joint venture with Survey Music called Bounty Records which was Elektras first foray into pop music. The most notable signing for Bounty was the Paul Butterfield Band who was moved over to Elektra when Bounty folded, the labels most important signings were the Chicago-based Paul Butterfield Blues Band, the Los Angeles bands Love and The Doors, and the Detroit bands The Stooges and MC5. Included in Elektras LA signings were Tim Buckley and Bread, in 1968, the label also signed pioneering rock guitar soloist Lonnie Mack to a three-album deal. Also in 1967, Elektra launched its influential Nonesuch Explorer Series, excerpts from several Nonesuch Explorer recordings were later included on the two Voyager Golden Discs which were sent into deep space in 1977 aboard the Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 space probes. Elektra, along with its Nonesuch Records subsidiary, was acquired by Kinney National Services in 1970, soon afterwards, Kinney consolidated their label holdings under the Warner-Elektra-Atlantic umbrella. Holzman remained in charge of Elektra until 1972, when it merged with Asylum Records to become Elektra/Asylum Records, Asylums founder, David Geffen, would head the newly combined label. Holzman, in the meantime, was appointed vice president and chief technologist for Warner — ushering the company into home video. Holzman also went on to acquire Discovery Records, in 1975, Geffen stepped down due to health problems. He would be replaced by Joe Smith, who went on to become CEO of Capitol Records. Snails (The Format album)

Snails is the second EP and third release by American rock band The Format. The EP was created to be sold at shows while The Format were on tour with Taking Back Sunday and it also became available on iTunes. Physical copies of the album came with a code to download 2 additional tracks from The Formats website. The EP includes two new songs and acoustic versions of three tracks from 2003s Interventions + Lullabies, after their record label, Elektra Records, was absorbed into the Warner Bros. system, The Format were moved to Atlantic Records. Atlantic released this EP, to allow The Format new material to sell while on tour with Taking Back Sunday and Jimmy Eat World, as it had been almost two years since they had released an album. The EP was first sold two days before the beginning of tour, when The Format played a headlining show at The Green Door in Oklahoma City. The new tracks were intended as demo versions of songs that would appear on their album, however. Shortly after the release of this EP, The Format were dropped from Atlantic Records, the Format intended to include Your New Name and Dear Boy on physical copies of the EP. These tracks were recorded with a different producer than the rest of the EP and due to contractual conflicts, the band instead gave away a promotional code with copies of the EP, which allowed you to download the songs for free from their website. Because of this, most people consider the songs to be tracks 6 and 7 on the EP, digital versions of the EP suffered from the same contractual problems, but couldnt accommodate the promotional code. Anyone who purchases the EP digitally will only have access to the first 5 tracks, all tracks written by Sam Means and Nate Ruess. Atlantic Recording Corporation is an American major record label founded in October 1947 by Ahmet Ertegün and Herb Abramson. In 2004, Atlantic Records and its sister label Elektra Records merged into Atlantic Records Group, craig Kallman is currently the chairman of Atlantic Records. Ahmet Ertegün served as founding chairman until his death on December 14,2006, the brothers had become ardent fans of jazz and rhythm & blues music, amassing a collection of over 15,00078 RPM records. He convinced the family dentist, Dr Vahdi Sabit, to invest $10,000 and recruited Herb Abramson, Abramson had worked as a part-time A&R manager/producer for the jazz label National Records, signing Big Joe Turner and Billy Eckstine. He founded Jubilee Records in 1946, but had no interest in its most successful artists, so, in September 1947, he sold his share in Jubilee to his partner, Jerry Blaine, and invested $2500 in the new Atlantic label. When interviewed in 2009 she attributed her reputation to the companys chronic cash-flow shortage, most of the problems we had with artists were that they wanted advances, and that was very difficult for us. We were undercapitalized for a long time, the labels original office in the Ritz Hotel, Manhattan proved too expensive so they relocated to an $85 per month room in the Hotel Jefferson. In its early years Atlantic focused principally on modern jazz although it released some country and western and spoken word recordings. The union action forced Atlantic to use almost all its capital to cut and stockpile enough recordings to last through the ban, Ertegun and Abramson spent much of the late 1940s and early 1950s scouring nightclubs in search of talent. Ertegun composed many songs under the alias A, in early 1949 a New Orleans distributor phoned Ertegun trying to obtain Stick McGhees Drinking Wine, Spo-Dee-O-Dee, which was unavailable due to the closure of McGhees previous label. Ertegun knew Sticks younger brother Brownie McGhee, with whom Stick happened to be staying, so he contacted the McGhee brothers, Ertegun asked about artists royalties, which he paid, which surprised Columbia executives, who did not, which scuttled the deal. On the recommendation of broadcaster Willis Conover, Ertegun and Abramson went to see Ruth Brown at the Crystal Caverns club in Washington and she was badly injured in a car accident en route to New York but Atlantic supported her for nine months and then signed her. Her first release for the label So Long, cut at her second Atlantic session on May 25,1949 with the Eddie Condon band, was a major hit, reaching #6 on the R&B chart. Brown went on to more than eighty songs for the label, becoming the most prolific. So significant was Browns success to Atlantics fortunes that the label became known colloquially as The House That Ruth Built. The Clovers Dont You Know I Love You became the labels first R&B #1 in September 1951 and she hit #1 again in March–April 1952 with 5-10-15 Hours. After she left the label in 1961 Browns fortunes declined rapidly - within a few years was reduced to working as a cleaner and bus-driver to support her children. Dog Problems is the second and final album by American rock band The Format. The group supported Motion City Soundtrack from mid March to early April 2006, the Compromise was ironically written as a response to Atlantic Records asking The Format to write a hit single prior to dropping them. An MP3 version of Dog Problems leaked to the internet almost two months before its release date. In response, the album was immediately made available digitally for only $7.99. Dog Problems was released on July 4 on The Vanity Label, The Formats own record label, through their management company, releasing Dog Problems through their own label allowed the band complete creative control, while still offering them national distribution through Sony BMG. The Compromise was released to radio on July 18,2006, in July and August, the band went on a summer tour with support from Rainer Maria and Anathallo. When asked what the single would be during an interview with Absolutepunk. net, Nate Ruess responded. Time Bomb saw a UK release on August 18,2006 on vinyl, Time Bomb was released to radio on October 17,2006. From late October to mid December 2006, the band supported The All-American Rejects on their Tournado 2006 tour and she Doesnt Get It impacted radio on March 6,2007. On June 14, the band performed Dog Problems in its entirety the at Mayan Theater in Los Angeles, in early July, the album was released as a free download over a two-week period. Ruess explained that the group knew that kids aren’t buying music, we’re going to see if we can’t pick up 20,000 new sets of ears by offering the album for free. Following this, the band went on three month headlining tour across the U. S and they were supported on various dates by Mike Birbiglia, Limbeck, Steel Train, Reubens Accomplice, The Honorary Title, Ollie Wilde and Piebald. Twin Peaks is an American television serial drama created by Mark Frost and David Lynch that premiered on April 8,1990, on ABC. It was one of the shows of 1990, but declining ratings led to its cancellation after its second season in 1991. It nonetheless captured a cult following and has been referenced in a variety of media. In subsequent years, Twin Peaks has often been ranked as one of the greatest television dramas ever made, the series follows an investigation headed by FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper into the murder of homecoming queen Laura Palmer in the fictional town of Twin Peaks, Washington. Like much of Lynchs work, it is distinguished by surrealism and offbeat humor, the shows acclaimed score was composed by Angelo Badalamenti in collaboration with Lynch. Twin Peaks was followed by a 1992 feature film, Twin Peaks, Fire Walk with Me, in October 2014, Showtime announced that the series would return as a limited event series, scheduled to premiere on May 21,2017. The limited series is written by Lynch and Frost and directed by Lynch, many original cast members, including MacLachlan, returned. In 1989, logger Pete Martell discovers a corpse wrapped in plastic on the bank of a river outside the town of Twin Peaks. When Sheriff Harry S. Truman, his deputies, and Dr. Will Hayward arrive, a badly injured second girl, Ronette Pulaski, is discovered in a fugue state. FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper is called in to investigate, Coopers initial examination of Lauras body reveals a tiny typed letter R inserted under her fingernail. The authorities discover that Laura has been living a double life and she was cheating on her boyfriend, football captain Bobby Briggs, with biker James Hurley, and prostituting herself with the help of truck driver Leo Johnson and drug dealer Jacques Renault. Laura was also addicted to cocaine, which she obtained by coercing Bobby into doing business with Jacques, Lauras father, attorney Leland Palmer, suffers a nervous breakdown. Her best friend, Donna Hayward, begins a relationship with James, with the help of Lauras cousin Maddy Ferguson, Donna and James discover that Lauras psychiatrist, Dr. Lawrence Jacoby, was obsessed with Laura, but he is proven innocent of the murder. Hornes sultry, troubled daughter, Audrey, becomes infatuated with Cooper, Cooper has a dream in which he is approached by a one-armed otherworldly being who calls himself Mike. Mike says that Lauras murderer is an entity, Killer Bob. Cooper finds himself decades older with Laura and a dwarf in a red business suit, the next morning, Cooper tells Truman that, if he can decipher the dream, he will know who killed Laura. Cooper and the sheriffs department find the man from Coopers dream. Gerard knows a Bob, the veterinarian who treats Renaults pet bird, Cooper interprets these events to mean that Renault is the murderer and, with Trumans help, tracks Renault to One-Eyed Jacks, a brothel owned by Horne across the border in Canada

Laura Palmer is a fictional character from the American television series Twin Peaks on ABC. She is portrayed by Sheryl Lee and was created by the series creators David Lynch, Laura, was well known and loved in Twin Peaks, she volunteered at Meals on Wheels, was her schools Homecoming Queen, and was the darling of her parents, Sarah and Leland. Officially involved with Bobby Briggs, the school football team captain. She had also had encounters with other Twin Peaks citizens, such as businessman Ben Horne. The discovery of Lauras body in the episode of Twin Peaks brings Special Agent Dale Cooper to town to investigate her death. Her murder and its effect on those around her propel the first season, Laura remains a prominent character afterward, as her death exposes many secrets related to her, and also — in some cases — unrelated, such as the Packard mill conspiracy. Laura also appears in Coopers dreams, offering cryptic clues as to the identity of her killer, Lauras diary is uncovered in the first episode, but her secret diary is not recovered until later. The latter contains passages suggesting that she had been abused by a malevolent entity named BOB since she was a child, in her diary she sometimes referred to BOB as a friend of her fathers. In the prequel/sequel Fire Walk With Me, Lauras spirit makes the transition to the afterlife when an angel appears to her, showing that her nightmare was finally over. During the second season, the identity of her murderer was revealed, her father, Leland, before his death in police custody, Leland tells Cooper and the others that he hadnt been aware of his own actions during the times BOB possessed him. As Leland dies, Laura appears before him in a vision, Laura appears inside the Black Lodge during the series finale, as both herself and an evil doppelgänger version. The prequel film Twin Peaks, Fire Walk with Me depicts the events leading up to Lauras murder, vinyl and Reaction Figures of Laura. Jennifer Lynch wrote an official series tie-in, The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer, finnish doom metal band Swallow the Sun has a song called Ghost of Laura Palmer on their album Ghosts of Loss, released in 2005. Canadian dance-punk band You Say Party released a single in 2010 titled Laura Palmers Prom on the album XXXX, the music video, released in 2011, is an homage to Twin Peaks, with band members appearing as various characters from the series. The videos narrative traces the events leading up to Laura Palmers murder, in 2010, Floridan black metal band Benighted in Sodom released a 17-minute EP entitled Laura Palmer. Jack Michael Antonoff is an American musician, singer and songwriter. He is best known as the singer and songwriter of Bleachers. He was previously the lead singer-songwriter of the band Steel Train, Antonoff has been nominated for two Golden Globe Awards and has won three Grammy Awards. Jack also started his own festival, Shadow of The City. Antonoff was born in Bergenfield, New Jersey, the son of Shira and Rick Antonoff, and he is the younger brother of fashion designer Rachel Antonoff. His younger sister, Sarah, died of cancer at the age of 13 when Antonoff was a senior in high school. Antonoff grew up in New Milford, New Jersey, and Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey, for high school, he and his sister commuted to New York City, New York, to attend the Professional Childrens School. During his sophomore year of school, he and several friends from elementary school formed a punk rock band called Outline. When they were 15, Antonoff and his Outline bandmate used a DIY guide to book shows in numerous states, including Florida and Texas, and borrowed Antonoffs parents minivan to travel in. During the tour, Outline played in such as anarchist bookstores. Antonoff explained in 2014, Half the time no one would show up or the equipment would be too fucked up to play, but thats when I fell in love with touring. The band lasted from 1998 to 2002, in 2002, Antonoff and friend, Scott Irby-Ranniar, formed the band Steel Train—Antonoff was the lead singer, and they recruited drummer Matthias Gruber. The band then convinced two of their friends from the band Random Task, Evan Winiker and Matthew Goldman, to out of college to join the new band. Steel Train secured a deal with Drive-Thru Records. In 2008, Nate Ruess asked Antonoff to join him and Andrew Dost in a new band, Antonoff was already well acquainted with Ruess and Dost, as their former bands had all toured together. The new band released its album, Aim and Ignite. Fun. s second album, Some Nights, produced the bands first number-one hit single, the song was cowritten by Antonoff with Ruess, Dost, and Jeff Bhasker. Andrew Paul Dost is an American musician, multi-instrumentalist, and current member of the indie rock band Fun. in which he plays several instruments, mainly the piano. He was formerly a member of the rock band Anathallo from 2003 to 2007. Andrew Dost was born to father Mark Dost, a teacher at Frankfort High School. Dost grew up in Cass City, Michigan and Mount Pleasant and he graduated from Frankfort High School in Michigan as valedictorian in 2001, and graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in journalism in 2005. Regarding Dosts musical ambitions, his father, Mark, has said, We always encouraged it because he plays flugelhorn, keyboard, guitar, melodica, I am so pleased and proud that hes able to do what he loves to do and make a living at it. You wonder how is this going to work out as far as making a car payment, yet as a parent you want your child to be fulfilled. Dost began his career as a member of the band Anathallo. He left the band halfway through writing album Canopy Glow in 2006, he has said that he left because the band had relocated to Chicago, after leaving Anathallo, Dost began work on a solo album, Columbus. It was based on a musical he had written in 2005 about the life of Christopher Columbus, according to an editorial review, The story is a comedy of sorts, taking preposterous liberties with the legendary tale of Christopher Columbus. Columbus takes a story and creates a heartfelt world for it. The album was written, produced, and recorded almost entirely by Dost, along with help from Michael Nau, Nate Ruess, Joel Thiele, Chris Fafalios, the album was released in 2009 on vinyl and digital. In 2008, Nate Ruess asked Dost to join him and Jack Antonoff in a new band, Dost already knew the two, because their former bands had toured together. While making Fun. s first album, Aim and Ignite, Dost remained based out of Michigan, while Ruess lived in Phoenix, Arizona, and Antonoff in New Jersey. Fun. s second album, Some Nights, saw the bands first #1 hit single, We Are Young, which Dost co-wrote with Ruess, Antonoff, and Jeff Bhasker, Dost also created an original score for the beginning of the Carry On music video in 2012. He composed the soundtrack to the movie The D Train, released in 2015, the soundtrack contains a collaboration with his Fun. bandmate Jack Antonoff. In late 2015, Dost has mentioned that he hopes to release new music soon, on April 20,2016, Dost said in an interview with the Metro Times that hes, finishing an album, and scoring some films and TV shows in the meantime. Anathallo was a band originally from Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and then based in Chicago, Illinois. The band started practicing in the fall of 2000 and played their first show soon afterward and their name is derived from a Greek word meaning to renew, refresh or bloom again. Anathallo released Floating World, their first nationally distributed record, in 2006 through Sony/BMG, the band released a follow-up, entitled Canopy Glow, on Anticon in 2008. Anathallo was formed in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, in 2000, in 2006 the band independently released Floating World, a concept album based on a Japanese story called Hana-Saka-Jiji. Soon after, the album was re-released with wider distribution through Sony/BMG, the album spawned several songs that were used in television commercials, including Yuki. Yuki. in a Vicks ad, and Dokkoise House in an American Express commercial, the income from these licenses allowed the band a less stressful experience pursuing their follow-up album. The group relocated to Chicago, Illinois and accepted an invitation to be artists-in-residence at Berry United Methodist Church where they began working on their follow-up LP, Canopy Glow. In 2008, Canopy Glow — which was recorded at Engine Studios by engineer/producer Neil Strauch — was released to acclaim in the US, EU. The group toured in support of Canopy Glow with two headlining US tours, one tour of the UK, two European tours and two tours in Japan before going on hiatus in 2009. On April 12,2010, after a long silence from the band, member Bret Wallin addressed the inactivity on his personal blog, so lets put it on the record. Spin is an American music magazine founded in 1985 by publisher Bob Guccione, Jr. The magazine stopped running in print in 2012 and currently runs as a webzine, in its early years, the magazine was known for its broad music coverage with an emphasis on college rock, grunge, indie rock, and the ongoing emergence of hip-hop. The magazine was eclectic and bold, if sometimes haphazard and it pointedly provided a national alternative to Rolling Stones more establishment-oriented style. Spin prominently placed newer artists such as R. E. M, Spins extensive coverage of hip-hop music and culture, especially that of contributing editor John Leland, was notable at the time. Editorial contributions by musical and cultural figures included Lydia Lunch, Henry Rollins, David Lee Roth, the magazine also reported on cities such as Austin, Texas, or Glasgow, Scotland, as cultural incubators in the independent music scene. A1990 article on the country blues scene brought R. L. Burnside to national attention for the first time. During this time, it was published by Camouflage Associates, in 1997, Guccione sold Spin to Miller Publishing. In February 2006, Miller Publishing sold the magazine to a San Francisco-based company called the McEvoy Group LLC and that company formed Spin Media LLC as a holding company. The new owners replaced editor-in-chief Sia Michel with Andy Pemberton, an editor at Blender. The first issue to be published under his command was the July 2006 issue—sent to the printer in May 2006—which featured Beyoncé on the cover. Pemberton and Spin parted ways the next month, in June 2006, the following editor, Doug Brod, was executive editor during Michels tenure. For Spins 20th anniversary, it published a book chronicling the prior two decades in music. The book has essays on grunge, Britpop, and emo, among other genres of music, as well as pieces on musical acts including Marilyn Manson, Tupac Shakur, nirvana, Weezer, Nine Inch Nails, Limp Bizkit, and the Smashing Pumpkins. In July 2012, Spin was sold to Buzzmedia, which renamed itself SpinMedia. The September/October 2012 issue of Spin was the magazines last print edition, in December 2016, Eldridge Industries acquired SpinMedia via the Hollywood Reporter-Billboard Media Group for an undisclosed amount. In 1995, Spin produced its first book, entitled Spin Alternative Record Guide, although the book was not a sales success, it inspired a disproportionate number of young readers to pursue music criticism. Aim and Ignite is the debut studio album by American indie pop band fun. It was released on August 25,2009, through Nettwerk, two of the bonus tracks are re-imagined versions of songs on the CD, and two are remixes. The title of the album comes from a line of the lyrics on the track Light a Roman Candle with Me and it was recorded at Appletree Studios. On February 4,2008, The Format broke up, the album was described as what a pop album should sound like and the most essential pop album of 2009 by AbsolutePunk. AllMusic compared the trio to Queen and the Electric Light Orchestra and it was said it used previous Format tricks like using bright horns and sophisticated harmonies. Aim and Ignite was released to positive reviews, AbsolutePunk. nets Drew Beringer praised the album, calling it what a pop album should sound like and the most essential pop album of 2009. Estella Hung of PopMatters was less impressed with the album, praising songs Be Calm and The Gambler, Hung concluded that while Aim and Ignite is pretty original to say the least, it fails to live up to the Format’s last outing. Popdoses Ken Shane called the album an interesting and unusual listen, Shane applauded the albums songwriting and said many of the songs are really good, but he objected to the cute production, desiring to hear the band in a more stripped-down form. He ended his review with, I have a problem with Dr. Dog. Perhaps the same fate awaits me with Fun, the album reached number 26 on Sputnikmusics top 50 albums of 2009. The Billboard 200 is a record chart ranking the 200 most popular music albums and EPs in the United States, published weekly by Billboard magazine. It is frequently used to convey the popularity of an artist or groups of artists, often, a recording act will be remembered by its number ones, those of their albums that outperformed all others during at least one week. The chart is based mostly on sales of albums in the United States, the weekly sales period was originally Monday to Sunday when Nielsen started tracking sales in 1991, but since July 2015, tracking week begins on Friday and ends on Thursday. A new chart is published the following Tuesday with an issue post-dated to the Saturday of the following week, the charts streaming schedule is also tracked from Friday to Thursday. Example, Friday January 1 – sales tracking week begins Thursday January 7 – sales tracking week ends Tuesday January 12 – new chart published, New product is released to the American market on Fridays. Digital downloads of albums are included in Billboard 200 tabulation. Albums that are not licensed for sale in the United States are not eligible to chart. As of the issue dated April 15,2017, the album on the Billboard 200 is More Life by Drake. Billboard began an album chart in 1945, initially only five positions long, the album chart was not published on a weekly basis, sometimes three to seven weeks passing before it was updated. A biweekly, 15-position Best-Selling Popular Albums chart appeared in 1955, the position count varied anywhere from 10 to 30 albums. The first number-one album on the new weekly list was Belafonte by Harry Belafonte, the chart was renamed to Best-Selling Pop Albums later in 1956, and then to Best-Selling Pop LPs in 1957. Jacks Mannequin was an American rock band formed in 2004, hailing from Orange County, California. The band originally began as a project for Andrew McMahon. The band was signed to Maverick Records and released Everything in Transit in August 2005, the Glass Passenger was released in 2008 on Sire Records, sold 49,000 copies in its first week, and peaked at number eight on the Billboard 200. People and Things was released October 4,2011, shortly afterward, it was announced that McMahon would discontinue releasing music under the name Jacks Mannequin, choosing to release music under his own name henceforth. On November 30,2015, McMahon announced that he will reunite Jacks Mannequin for a tour of Everything In Transit. Andrew McMahon began his career as the lead vocalist and pianist for the Orange County piano rock band Something Corporate. The primary impulse behind McMahons solo project, Jacks Mannequin, was a song he recorded in December 2003 titled Locked Doors and he felt the song had too different a style from previous Something Corporate material to be one of their songs. He realized that if he decided to release it, it would be on a solo album rather than a Something Corporate record. Exhausted from months of touring in late summer 2004, the decided to take a temporary break. During his time off, McMahon laid down piano and vocal tracks for a song on Hidden in Plain Views Life in Dreaming, while Something Corporates other songwriter and lead guitarist Josh Partington created a side project of his own called Firescape, McMahon started writing his own songs. He did not expect the songs to be released, McMahon took a more therapeutic approach in writing these songs, resulting in a more personal and intimate testament of his songwriting. Although he just planned on recording songs, they began to take shape collectively. He paid for the out of his own pocket, which ultimately led to a record deal with Maverick Records. He formed the band under the name Jacks Mannequin, which came to be after McMahon had considered the name The Mannequins. However, after growing bored of the the band names, he decided to sandwich it together with the title of a song he had completed for the record, Dear Jack. Their first album, titled Everything in Transit, was released in August 2005 and received a response from fans. A summer tour was scheduled to support the release, but was canceled after McMahon was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Paramore is an American rock band from Franklin, Tennessee, formed in 2004. The band currently consists of lead vocalist Hayley Williams, guitarist Taylor York, the group released its debut album All We Know Is Falling in 2005, with the album reaching number eight on the UK Rock Chart and number thirty on Billboards Heatseekers Chart. While it only had a commercial performance initially, the album. The bands second album, Riot. was released in 2007, due to the success of the singles Misery Business, crushcrushcrush, and Thats What You Get, Riot. was a mainstream success and was certified Platinum in the United States. They then received a Best New Artist nomination at the 2008 Grammy Awards and their 2009 follow-up, Brand New Eyes, is the bands second-highest charting album to date, landing at number two on the Billboard 200 with 175,000 first week sales. It produced the top-forty single The Only Exception and went platinum in Ireland and the UK, as well as gold in the US, Canada, Australia, following the departure of Josh and Zac Farro in 2010, the band released their self-titled fourth album in 2013. It gave the band their first career number one on the US Billboard 200 and was also the one album in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Argentina. The bands lineup changed again after this album cycle with bassist Jeremy Davis leaving the band near the end of 2015. Shortly after arriving, she began taking lessons with Brett Manning. The other members of what was soon to be Paramore had been edgy about the whole thing of having Williams as vocalist. Williams said of the members when she first met them, They were the first people I met who were as passionate about music as I was. The band was formed by Josh Farro, Zac Farro, Davis and Williams in 2004. Some Nights is the second studio album by American indie pop band fun. It was released on February 21,2012 through Fueled by Ramen and it was recorded in 2011 and produced by Jeff Bhasker. After signing to a new label, the band began to work on Some Nights for over nine months throughout 2011, in some countries, the album received a Parental Advisory sticker due to the usage of the word fuck in the albums title track and Some Nights. In the United States, it was added after the album was released and we Are Young was released as the lead single from the album and bolstered the band to mainstream success with the aid of television and advertising. It topped the US Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks and Alternative Songs for two weeks, with six million digital downloads. The title track was commissioned as the single and has reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The album has received mixed reviews according to Metacritic, the band later won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist, and We Are Young won the Grammy Award for Song of the Year. Fun received four other Grammy nominations, two for We Are Young and two for the album itself, Fun. signed to Fueled by Ramen in late 2010. The transition was in the works with the label for almost nine months, Ruess was flattered that employed workers for the label would buy their own tickets to Fun. shows and talk about us with the passion youd generally reserve for an artist youre working with. After lengthy discussions within the band, the decided to give the label a try. Ruess recalls that he was listening to so much hip-hop during the production that it became a big influence for him, the band felt inspired and gradually began working on new songs, each carrying an obvious hip-hop influence. Consciously, the band working in the hip-hop factor and realized they wanted a hip-hop producer. After scanning the liner notes of his other records, Ruess noticed that Jeff Bhasker was one of the most common names. Bhasker was preoccupied at the working with Beyoncé but Ruess was persistent in meeting with him. The most common process in the recording of Some Nights began with Ruess. Ruess would come in with lyrics and a melody, leading Andrew Dost and guitarist Jack Antonoff to build chord structure and instrumentation from there, or support that melody. The dynamic between Bhasker and the band in the studio was inspired, as Bhasker had never worked with a rock band before. Bhasker particularly enjoyed recording guitars with guitarist Jack Antonoff as he wasnt used to it, the emphasis for Ruess on Some Nights was to make the songs more cohesive, as he felt his writing was all over the place

The song received positive reviews from music critics, with many noting the song as a breakthrough for the indie genre. We Are Young has attained commercial success worldwide, reaching one in several countries. The track initially only gained attention from media, although it did receive its first commercial radio airplay on Tampa Bay alternative radio station, 97X. However, it was covered by the television show Glee. With the Glee version having success on the charts, the song was licensed for use in a Chevrolet Sonic commercial that aired during Super Bowl XLVI. The song won the Grammy Award for Song of the Year at the 55th Grammy Awards, after the poor commercial performance of their debut album, Aim and Ignite, Fun decided to put Jeff Bhasker as producer for their second studio effort. The bands frontman, Nate Ruess, met with Bhasker at his hotel in New York City in February 2011. Ruess was anxious about meeting Bhasker, so he arrived early at the bar in the Bowery Hotel on the Lower East Side and had a little to drink just to make sure I was loosened up. According to Bhasker, he wasnt really wanting to meet the band, as he was working with Beyoncé, and also with Alicia, Kanye and Jay-Z, I had no intention of being distracted. Bhasker had just finished a day in the studio with Beyoncé. He had previously already canceled two meetings with him, slightly tipsy and feeling inspired, Ruess belted out the chorus for We Are Young, which at that time was an unfinished composition. The characters deal with identity, adoption, domestic abuse, teenage suicide, bullying, disabilities, texting while driving, college. The McKinley High class of 2012 graduates at the end of the season, in the meantime, Rachel Berry and Kurt Hummel navigate NYADA and their lives as aspiring performers, plus their relationships with Finn and Blaine. Issues during the season include sex, bulimia, gender identity, child molestation, dyslexia, school violence, former main cast members Emma Pillsbury and Quinn Fabray were credited as guest stars, while previously recurring glee club member Sam Evans was promoted to the main cast. The Chevrolet Aveo is a subcompact car manufactured 2002-2011, by Daewoo, marketed worldwide in 120 countries under seven brands. The word aveo translates from the Latin I desire, GM Daewoo introduced the Daewoo Kalos in September 2002, based on a then-new T200 platform, replacing the Daewoo Lanos. Under development before Daewoos bankruptcy, the Kalos was the companys first new model introduction following its subsequent takeover by General Motors, manufacture of the Kalos began in early March 2002, with pre-production prototypes shown at the Geneva Auto Show in April 2002. The nameplate Kalos derives from the Greek word καλός for beautiful, during this three-year development period Daewoo was struggling financially, with the ultimate fate of the company and the concept vehicle remaining uncertain. Two different T200 front-end styling designs were sold, when released in 2002, the T200 headlamps were detached from the horizontal amber turn signal strip, located directly below. This detached style, used primarily in South Korea and North America, was used in conjunction with a semi-elliptical grille, when sales in Europe began in 2003, the headlights were an integrated unit that slanted upwards from the V-shaped grille towards the front fenders. In Australia, when the Daewoo Kalos was introduced in 2003, in South Korea, where the detached lights were used at first, the integrated design was later utilized as a facelift. The T200 sedan and five-door hatchback featured a line running along the lower body to the rear door. Five-doors also feature a window in the C/D pillar with a distinctively angled lower edge. Interiors feature a circular motif throughout, GM introduced a facelifted sedan at Auto Shanghai 2005, designed in cooperation with PATAC. Incorporation of the antenna into the rear glass and extensive wind tunnel testing helped reduce the coefficient of drag from 0.348 to 0.326. A facelifted hatchback with the updated instrument panel was presented as the Chevrolet Aveo during the Frankfurt Motor Show 2007, to be marketed in Europe. With launch of the Gentra X in South Korea, GMDAT had replaced engines of T250,1.2 L S-TEC II engine was updated with features such as dual overhead camshaft and timing chain system. 1.6 L E-TEC II engine has been replaced with an updated GEN-III Ecotec Family 1 engine with new features such as valve timing mechanism. The facelifted Chevrolet Aveo T250 sedan was launched to the Russian market in 2016 as Ravon Nexia R3, the car is produced at the GM Uzbekistan plant. The Ravon Nexia R3 is available with the 1. 5-liter petrol engine paired with the 5-speed manual or the 6-speed automatic, a version of the T300 is sold in the Brazilian market under the name Chevrolet Cobalt since 2011. Chart rankings are based on sales, radio play and online streaming, the weekly sales period was originally Monday to Sunday, when Nielsen started tracking sales in 1991, but was changed to Friday to Thursday in July 2015. Radio airplay, which, unlike sales figures and streaming data, is available on a real-time basis. The Spanish name of the city, Tucsón, is derived from the Oodham Cuk Ṣon, meaning base of the black, Tucson is sometimes referred to as The Old Pueblo. A Grammy Award, or Grammy, is an honor awarded by The Recording Academy to recognize outstanding achievement in the mainly English-language music industry. The annual presentation ceremony features performances by prominent artists, and the presentation of awards that have a more popular interest. It shares recognition of the industry as that of the other performance awards such as the Emmy Awards, the Tony Awards. The first Grammy Awards ceremony was held on May 4,1959, to honor, following the 2011 ceremony, The Academy overhauled many Grammy Award categories for 2012. The 59th Grammy Awards, honoring the best achievements from October 2015 to September 2016, was held on February 12,2017, the Grammys had their origin in the Hollywood Walk of Fame project in the 1950s. The music executives decided to rectify this by creating a given by their industry similar to the Oscars. This was the beginning of the National Academy of Recording Arts, after it was decided to create such an award, there was still a question of what to call it, one working title was the Eddie, to honor the inventor of the phonograph, Thomas Edison. They finally settled on using the name of the invention of Emile Berliner, the gramophone, for the awards, the number of awards given grew and fluctuated over the years with categories added and removed, at one time reaching over 100. The second Grammy Awards, also held in 1959, was the first ceremony to be televised, the gold-plated trophies, each depicting a gilded gramophone, are made and assembled by hand by Billings Artworks in Ridgway, Colorado. In 1990 the original Grammy design was revamped, changing the traditional soft lead for a stronger alloy less prone to damage, Billings developed a zinc alloy named grammium, which is trademarked. The trophies with the name engraved on them are not available until after the award announcements. By February 2009,7,578 Grammy trophies had been awarded, the General Field are four awards which are not restricted by genre. Album of the Year is awarded to the performer and the team of a full album if other than the performer. Anthony Green is an American musician from Doylestown, Pennsylvania. He is currently the singer of Circa Survive and Saosin. He was previously in the bands The Sound of Animals Fighting, Audience of One, Jeer at Rome, High and Driving, Green is known for his high tenor vocal range. Anthony Greens first band formed in 1997 while he was in school with classmate. The band originally had Dougherty on guitar and Green on bass, eventually, they recruited drummer Evan Madden. Green wanted to name the band Saosin, but Dougherty and Madden decided against it, before settling on the Audience of One name, they played a few shows under the name Handsome Pete in 1998 and one show under the name The Bill Bixby Experience. Due to problems with Evans availability to practice and play shows, Green and Dougherty switched bass and guitar duties. Green met drummer J. D. Foster at Days Aways first show in summer of 1998, Foster tried out and musically they clicked right away. The band recorded an LP entitled, I Remember When This All Meant Something at Skylight Studio in the summer of 1999 and it was released on Break Even Records on December 3,1999. During the summer of 2000, Greg Itzen was welcomed into the band as a guitar player. As a four-piece, they recorded a four song demo EP at Skylight Studio and that fall, two of the members went off to college and one enlisted in the military. Audience of One was deemed on hiatus, from April 12–13,2000, a four song demo EP for a hardcore/metal project called Jeer at Rome was recorded at Skylight Studio. The band was composed of Anthony Green, Steve Mensick, Mike Lepone, Chris Mensick and they played a handful of shows during the spring and summer of 2000, but apparently dissolved soon afterward. Anthony sang on six songs on Zolof The Rock & Roll Destroyers self-titled first album, the recordings took place mostly in 2000 and 2001 and were released in early 2002. At that time, the band consisted of Rachel Minton, Anthony Green, Vince Ratti, Bob Bonocore, Green and Zolof parted ways in early 2002 due to Greens need to work some things out in his personal life. One year later, Ratti and Minton helped Anthony record vocals over the Saosin instrumental demo recordings, two years later, Green contributed vocals to the Zolof The Rock & Roll Destroyer song This Was All A Bad Idea off of their album The Popsicle EP. In 2012, Ratti mixed Circa Survives fourth album, Violent Waves, Minton also contributed backup vocals to the song Suitcase. Green recorded a four-song EP in 2002 at Rattis Skylight Studio in Fairless Hills, PA. Green recorded most of the instruments himself except for drums, Tim Arnold supplied the drums and Ratti and Minton tracked some of the keyboard parts

The show opens with Fallons topical monologue, then transitions into comedic sketches/games, concluding with a guest interview, the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon has attracted high ratings since its 2014 premiere, consistently beating competition. In addition, many moments from the series have originated viral videos, the show has been nominated for nine Primetime Emmy Awards, winning two. On August 13,2015, NBC announced that Fallon signed a contract to remain as host until at least 2021, the Tonight Show premiered on NBC in 1954 as Tonight, hosted by Steve Allen. Brian Douglas Wilson is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer best known for being the multi-tasking leader and co-founder of the rock band the Beach Boys. After signing with Capitol Records in 1962, Wilson wrote or co-wrote more than two dozen Top 40 hits for the group, in the mid-1960s, Wilson composed, arranged and produced Pet Sounds, considered one of the greatest albums ever made. The intended follow-up to Pet Sounds, Smile, was canceled for various reasons, as he suffered repeated nervous breakdowns, Wilsons contributions to the Beach Boys diminished, and his erratic behavior led to tensions with the band. He remains a member of the Beach Boys corporation, Brother Records Incorporated, Wilsons work with the Beach Boys helped raise pop music to the level of high art. No Pier Pressure is the eleventh studio album by Brian Wilson released April 7,2015 on Capitol Records. The album features guest performances by contemporary artists Sebu Simonian of Capital Cities, Kacey Musgraves, She & Him, Original Beach Boys members Al Jardine and David Marks also feature alongside former band member Blondie Chaplin. Wilson intended to record with the Beach Boys after their 50th anniversary celebration, Wilson embarked on a short summer tour which included Jardine and Marks. It was then announced on August 5,2013 that Wilson would embark on a fall 2013 tour with Beck, according to Beck, Brian will kick things off, but Ill also be given enough time to establish what Im about. In the end, well mix and match and its a complete honor to be on stage with him. Jardine and Marks also joined Wilson on the eighteen dates which began on September 27, Chaplin guested on some dates and performed Sail On, Sailor and Wild Honey with the group. That October, Wilson informed, about two-thirds of the way through and we have eight or nine songs done, and we need three or four more songs. Most of it is very kind of stuff, mellow harmony. Its very different than anything Ive ever done, the albums cover was shot by Wilsons daughter, Daria. Sessions were conducted at all three studio spaces at Ocean Way Recording, Hollywood over a period of about a year-and-a-half, senior staff engineer Wesley Seidman worked with Wilson in the studio, who preferred tracking band performances on ProTools while using vintage equipment. In August 2014, Wilson said that recording was done and that he had reached the mixing process. Some portions of the album were recorded or mixed at other California, Tennessee, on November 6,2014, the album was reported finished. He later said that his wife Melinda Ledbetter contributed to the production, Thats Why God Made the Radio and Imagination collaborator Joe Thomas is involved to some extent. Accordingly, When we started working on this thing, he was calling it his lifes suite and he looked at life as three different movements. One was Pet Sounds, the other was Smile and then, Pet Sounds was when he was just a kid. Smile was when he was a little more savvy and in the business awhile, and now, this is a guy looking back at life and where he is now, which is in a much happier and less chaotic state. Thomas, comparing the record to Thats Why God Made the Radio, stated, Musically, the harmonies are cool, but it’s more akin to the music on Wild Honey and the Carl & the Passions records. This new material is not a reprise to that album at all, Wilson stated that Sail Away, Runaway Dancer, On the Island, and Guess You Had to Be There were his favorite tracks on the album
