Jeffrey Clark Jeff Wadlow is an American film director, screenwriter and producer. He is best known as the writer and director of the 2013 superhero comedy film Kick-Ass 2, Wadlow was born in Arlington, Virginia, the son of Emily Couric, a late state senator, and R. Clark Wadlow. His mothers sister is television personality Katie Couric, Wadlow attended Dartmouth College, graduating with a BA in History and Film modified by Drama and a citation for outstanding work in Animation. While there, he made The Tower of Babble, which he conceived, co-wrote, acted in and he went on to receive the Short Film Prize at the Wine Country Film Festival for Manual Labor and the Best Animated Short at the New Haven Film Fest for Catching Kringle. Having won the film division at the 2002 Chrysler Million Dollar Film Competition for Living the Lie. Along with co-writer Beau Bauman, created a five-minute presentation piece starring Topher Grace, as an actor, he has played a small role in Pearl Harbor and a professor on an episode of the sci-fi TV series Roswell, which aired May 7,2001. Wadlow also founded The Adrenaline Film Project, a program to help aspiring filmmakers of all ages conceive and he directed the film Never Back Down, which was released on March 14,2008, and starred Djimon Hounsou and Sean Faris. The movie went on to beat out big budget competition to win the MTV movie award for Best Fight, Wadlow also wrote and directed Kick-Ass 2, the sequel to the 2010 black comedy superhero film Kick-Ass. Amber Laura Heard is an American actress. She made her debut in 2004 in the sports drama Friday Night Lights. She dropped out of school, eventually earning a diploma through a home-study course. When Heard was 16, her best friend died in a car crash, Heard and she said of Rand, Ive read all of her books. Ever since then, I have been obsessed with her ideals, All Ive ever needed is myself. C. She made her debut in the sports drama Friday Night Lights. Heard was next cast as the characters love interest in the CWs teen drama Hidden Palms. In order to get the part, she was required to lose 25 pounds, the series premiered in the United States on May 30,2007 to mixed to negative reviews from the critics. It was also not popular with audiences, and thus the CW decided to cancel it. In 2007, Heard also appeared in the short movie Day 73 with Sarah, the critically panned indie drama Remember the Daze and she also won a Breakthrough Award in Hollywood Film Festival. He also starred in the short-lived CBS legal drama series Reckless. Gigandet was born in Tacoma, Washington, the son of Kim and Jay Gigandet and his sister Kelsie is a hair stylist. After graduating from Auburn Senior High School in Auburn, Washington in 2001, he moved to California, in 2003, Gigandet made his acting debut with a guest appearance in the crime television series CSI, Crime Scene Investigation. Evan Thomas Peters is an American actor. He made his debut in the 2004 drama film Clipping Adam. In 2010, he had a role in the superhero film Kick-Ass. Born in St. Louis, Missouri and raised in the suburb of Ballwin, Evan Peters is the son of Julie and his father is a vice president of administration for the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation. Peters was raised in a Roman Catholic family and attended a Catholic grade school and he has a brother, Andrew, and a paternal half-sister, Michelle. Djimon Gaston Hounsou is a Beninese-American actor and model. Hounsou began his career appearing in music videos and he made his film debut in the Sandra Bernhard film Without You Im Nothing and gained widespread recognition for his role as Cinqué in the Steven Spielberg film Amistad. He gained further recognition for his roles in Gladiator, In America, Blood Diamond, Guardians of the Galaxy and he has been nominated for a Golden Globe Award, three Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Academy Awards. He gained further notice as Juba in the 2000 film Gladiator, in 2004, Hounsou was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for In America, making him the fourth African male to be nominated for an Oscar. In 2011, he starred as a French commando in the French film Forces spéciales, director Tim Story told IGN that if he were to do a third Fantastic Four movie, he would like to have Hounsou as the Black Panther. It is owned by Lionsgate and is headquartered in Santa Monica, Summit Entertainment was founded in 1991 by film producers Bernd Eichinger, Arnon Milchan, and Andrew G. Iowa is a U. S. state in the Midwestern United States, bordered by the Mississippi River on the east and the Missouri River and the Big Sioux River on the west. Orlando is a city in the U. S. state of Florida and the county seat of Orange County. Located in Central Florida, it is the center of the Orlando metropolitan area, which had a population of 4,000,002, according to U. S. As of 2015, Orlando had an estimated population of 270,934, making it the 73rd-largest city in the United States, the fourth-largest city in Florida. The City of Orlando is nicknamed The City Beautiful, and its symbol is the fountain at Lake Eola, Orlando is also known as The Theme Park Capital of the World and in 2014 its tourist attractions and events drew more than 62 million visitors. S. military abandoned the fort in 1839 the surrounding community was built up by settlers, prior to being known by its current name, Orlando was once known as Jernigan. Aarron Jernigan became Orange Countys first State Representative in 1845 but his pleas for military protection went unanswered. Fort Gatlin was briefly reoccupied by the military for a few weeks during October and November 1849, a historical marker indicates that by 1850 the Jernigan homestead served as the nucleus of a village named Jernigan. One of the countys first records, a grand jurys report, mentions a stockade where it states homesteaders were driven from their homes, Aaron Jernigan led a local volunteer militia during 1852. Jernigan appears on an 1855 map of Florida and by 1856 the area had become the county seat of Orange County and it is known for certain that the area was renamed Orlando in 1857. The move is believed to be sparked, in part, by Aaron Jernigans fall from grace after he was relieved of his command by military officials in 1856. Mixed martial arts is a full-contact combat sport that allows both striking and grappling, both standing and on the ground, using techniques from other combat sports and martial arts. The first documented use of the mixed martial arts was in a review of UFC1 by television critic Howard Rosenberg in 1993. The term gained popularity when newfullcontact. com, then one of the largest websites covering the sport, the question of who actually coined the term is subject to debate. During the early 20th century, various mixed-style contests took place throughout Japan, in 1980 CV Productions, Inc. created the first regulated MMA league in the United States, named Tough Guy Contest, later renamed Battle of the Superfighters. The company sanctioned ten tournaments in Pennsylvania, however, in 1983 the Pennsylvania State Senate passed a bill prohibiting the sport. In 1993, the Gracie family brought vale tudo, developed in Brazil from the 1920s, later, individual fighters employed multiple martial arts into their style. MMA promoters were pressured to adopt additional rules to increase safety, to comply with sport regulations. Following these changes, the sport has increased popularity with a pay-per-view business that rivals boxing. In Ancient Greece there was a sport called pankration, which featured a combination of grappling and striking skills similar to found in modern MMA. Pankration was formed by a combination of the already established wrestling and boxing traditions and, in Olympic terms, All strikes and holds were allowed with the exception of biting and gouging, which were banned. Fighters, also known as pankratists, fought until a fighter submitted, according to E. Norman Gardiner, No branch of athletics was more popular than the pankration. From its origins in Ancient Greece, pankration was later passed on to the Romans, the mid nineteenth century saw the prominence of the new sport savate in the combat sports circle. At that time, French fighters wanted to test out the sport against the traditional styles of its time. However, the English team still won the four other match-ups during the contest, since then other similar contest also occurred by the late 19th to mid-20th century between French Savateurs and other combat styles. The next publicized encounter occurred in the late 1890s when future heavyweight boxing champion Bob Fitzsimmons took on European Greco-Roman Wrestling champion Ernest Roeber. In September 1901, Frank Paddy Slavin, who had been a contender for Sullivans boxing title, knocked out future world wrestling champion Frank Gotch in Dawson City, Canada. The judo-practitioner Ren-nierand who gained fame after defeating George Dubois, would again in another similar contest against Ukrainian wrestler Ivan Poddubny. –
Afro-Brazilians, Portuguese pronunciation, is a term used in the 21st century by some in Brazil to refer to Brazilian people with African ancestry. The term does not have use in Brazil, where social constructs. People with noticeable African features and skin color are referred to as negro or preto. Many members of group of people, multiracial Brazilians, or pardos. Preto and pardo are among five color categories used by the Brazilian Census, along with branco, amarelo, in 2010,7. 6% of the Brazilian population, some 15 million people, identified as preto, while 43% identified as pardo. Pretos tend to be predominantly African in ancestry, while pardos tend to have a percentage of African ancestry. On average pardos are predominantly European, with African or Native American ancestries and they suggest doing so would make it easier to help people who have been closed out of opportunity. This decision has caused controversy because there is no consensus about it in Brazilian society. In the July 1998 PME, the categories Afro-Brasileiro and Africano Brasileiro were not chosen at all, in the 1976 National Household Sample, none of these terms was used even once. Brazilian geneticist Sérgio Pena has criticised American scholar Edward Telles for lumping pretos and pardos in the same category, as many pardos are primarily of European ancestry, Pena questioned studying them together with pretos, who are primarily of African ancestry. Before testing, the students identified as ⅓ European, ⅓ African, according to Edward Telles, three different systems related to racial classification along the White-Black continuum are used in Brazil. The first is the Census System, which distinguishes three categories, branco, pardo, and preto, the second is the popular social system that uses many different categories, including the ambiguous term moreno. The third is the Black movement, which only two categories, summing up pardos and pretos as negros, and putting all others as whites. The first system referred by Telles is that of the Brazilian Institute of Geography, in the Census, respondents may identify their ethnicity or color from five categories, branca, parda, preta, amarela or indígena. The term parda needs further explanation, it has been used since the Census of 1940. In that census, people were asked for their colour or race, if the answer was not White, preta, or Yellow and these slashes were later summed up in the category pardo. In practice this means answers such as pardo, moreno, mulato, in the following censuses, pardo was added as a category on its own, and included Amerindians. Exile
–
To be in exile means to be away from ones home, while either being explicitly refused permission to return or being threatened with imprisonment or death upon return. It can be a form of punishment and solitude and it is common to distinguish between internal exile, i. e. forced resettlement within the country of residence, and external exile, which is deportation outside the country of residence. Although most commonly used to describe a situation, the term is also used for groups. Exile can also be a departure from ones homeland. Article 9 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that No one shall be subjected to arbitrary arrest, detention or exile. In some cases the head of state is allowed to go into exile following a coup or other change of government. A wealthy citizen who departs from an abode for a lower tax jurisdiction in order to reduce his/her tax burden is termed a tax exile. Creative people such as authors and musicians who achieve sudden wealth sometimes find themselves among this group, in 2012, Eduardo Saverin, one of the founders of Facebook, made headlines by renouncing his U. S. citizenship before his companys IPO. In some cases a person lives in exile to avoid legal issues. For example, nuns were exiled following the Communist coup détat of 1948 in Czechoslovakia, many Jewish prayers include a yearning to return to Jerusalem and the Jewish homeland. The entire population of Crimean Tatars that remained in their homeland Crimea was exiled on 18 May 1944 to Central Asia as a form of ethnic cleansing and collective punishment on false accusations. At Diego Garcia, between 1967 and 1973 the British Government forcibly removed some 2,000 Chagossian resident islanders to make way for a military base today jointly operated by the US, since the Cuban Revolution over one million Cubans have left Cuba. Most of these self-identify as exiles as their motivation for leaving the island is political in nature, most of the exiles children also consider themselves to be Cuban exiles. It is to be noted that under Cuban law, children of Cubans born abroad are considered Cuban citizens, during a foreign occupation or after a coup détat, a government in exile of a such afflicted country may be established abroad. Exile is a motif in ancient Greek tragedy. In the ancient Greek world, this was seen as a worse than death. The motif reaches its peak on the play Medea, written by Euripides in the fifth century BC, euripides’ Medea has remained the most frequently performed Greek tragedy through the 20th century. After Medea was abandoned by Jason and had become a murderer out of revenge, she fled to Athens and married king Aigeus there, due to a conflict with him, she must leave the Polis and go away into exile

Sparring
–
Sparring is a form of training common to many combat sports. Although the precise form varies, it is essentially relatively free-form fighting, with rules, customs. By extension, argumentative debate is called verbal sparring. Sparring in an art such as judo might begin with the partners holding one another. The organization of sparring matches also varies, if the participants know each other well and are friendly, it may be sufficient for them to play, without rules, referee. In some schools, permission to begin sparring is granted upon entry, the rationale for this decision is that students must learn how to deal with a fast, powerful, and determined attacker. In other schools, students may be required to wait a few months, for safety reasons, sparring is normally distinct from fights in competition, the goal of sparring normally being the education of the participants. The educational role of sparring is a matter of some debate, in any sparring match, precautions of some sort must be taken to protect the participants. These precautions have the potential to change the nature of the skill that is being learned, for example, if one were to always spar with heavily padded gloves, one might come to rely on techniques that risk breaking bones in ones hand. Many schools recognize this problem but value sparring nonetheless because it forces the student to improvise, to think under pressure, the level of contact is also debated, lighter contact may lead to less injuries but hard contact may better prepare individuals for competition or self-defense. Some sport styles, such as sanda, taekwondo, Kyokushin kaikan, karate, kendo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu sparring is full contact and injuries are rare as it does not involve striking but rather forcing the opponent to submit using grappling techniques. There is a lot of controversy in MMA about the benefits of full contact sparring vs career threatening injuries, former UFC fighter Jamie Varner came to an early retirement because he had a lot of head trauma in full contact sparring. UFC former welterweight champions Robbie Lawler and Johny Hendricks dont do full contact sparring, sparring has different names and different forms in various schools. Some schools prefer not to call it sparring, as they feel it differs in kind from what is normally called sparring. In Western fencing, including fencing, the combat is called in English free play, sparring. In Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu sparring is called rolling. In boxing, sparring is commonly called sparring, in capoeira, the closest analogue to sparring is jogo. Zach Myers was born in 1983 in Memphis, Tennessee. He founded and is currently the singer and guitarist for the rock band The Fairwell. He is also the former bassist and current guitarist for the rock band Shinedown. He has stated that, while growing up, his guitar influences were Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmy Page, Phil Lynott. His first guitar was a Series 10 - Strat, Myers married longtime girlfriend, singer-songwriter Bethany Gulke, on September 5,2014. They had their first child, Oliver Levon Myers, spring of 2016, being a collector of vintage musical equipment, Myers currently owns over two hundred guitars of various makes. Myers has also been a supporter of his hometown Memphis Grizzlies. He has been seen at games when off tour as he is a court side season ticket holder. Zach Myers is also an avid sneaker collector reported to have upward of 600 pairs of Nike, additionally, Myers is devoted to his family llama farm. The Fairwell is a band from Memphis, Tennessee. The band was founded by singer and guitarist Zach Myers. Drummer Michael McManus is the most recent addition to the band, Zach joined Shinedown as a touring rhythm guitarist in 2005, before becoming their temporary bassist after the departure of Brad Stewart in 2007. In early 2008, he assumed the role of permanent rhythm guitarist, on December 18,2008 Nick Perri departed Shinedown, leaving Zach to assume the role of the bands rhythm and lead guitarist. On March 23,2010, Zach Myers appeared on the cover of guitar edge magazine, Zach Myers toured with Saliva in 2004 and 2005 filling in for Dave Novotny. Sanford, Florida

Sanford is a city in the central region of the U. S. state of Florida and is the county seat of Seminole County. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 53,570, known as the Historic Waterfront Gateway City, Sanford sits on the southern shore of Lake Monroe at the head of navigation on the St. Johns River. Native Americans first settled in the thousands of years before the city was formed. The Seminoles would arrive in the area in the 18th century, during the Second Seminole War in 1836, the United States Army established Camp Monroe and built a road that is currently known as Mellonville Avenue. The city sits approximately 20 miles northeast of Orlando, Sanford is home to Seminole State College of Florida and the Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens. Its downtown attracts tourists with shops, restaurants, a marina, the Orlando Sanford International Airport, which is in the heart of the town, functions as the secondary commercial airport for international and domestic carriers in the Orlando metropolitan area. The ten-foot wide paved walkway spans a distance of miles in Sanfords downtown area along the waterfront of Lake Monroe. Phase 2, which adds over 3000 feet to the trail, was completed in 2014, the city is redoing the face of Sanford Avenue, one of the main streets, with a new brick road, wider sidewalks, trees, flowers, and benches. Sanford is connected to the central Florida commuter railway SunRail, with the station 2 miles from the downtown, to support the its green initiatives, Sanford has added five electric car charging stations. The city is proposing to replace streetlamp bulbs with LED lights, the city of Sanford also launched a redesigned city government website in 2012. The Mayaca or Jororo Indians inhabited the shores of Lake Monroe at the time of European contact, by 1760, however, war and disease had decimated the tribe, which would be replaced by the Seminole Indians. Florida was acquired by the United States from Spain in 1821, in 1835, the Seminoles burned the port of Palatka on the St. Johns River, then the major artery into Central Florida from the East Coast. Consequently, a garrison was established upstream, on the southern side of Lake Monroe near a trading post. Called Camp Monroe, the log breastwork was attacked on February 8,1837 and it would be strengthened and renamed Fort Mellon in honor of Captain Charles Mellon, the sole American casualty. General Zachary Taylor had a road connecting a string of defenses from Lake Monroe to Fort Brooke. The town of Mellonville was founded around Fort Mellon in 1842 by Daniel Stewart, in 1845, Florida became a U. S. state, and Mellonville became county seat of Orange County, formerly called Mosquito County with its county seat across the lake at Enterprise. Orange groves were planted, with the first fruit packing plant built in 1869, in 1870, General Henry Shelton Sanford bought 12,548 acres to the west of Mellonville and laid out the community of Sanford. The Cypress Creek Wind Ensemble has been guest-conducted by composers including Karel Husa, the group has performed at venues and festivals including Bands of America Marching and Concert Festivals in 1997 and 2000, and Carnegie Hall in April 2009. The Wind Ensemble also recently performed for the time at the Music for All National Concert Band Festival in Indianapolis. YouTube is an American video-sharing website headquartered in San Bruno, California. The service was created by three former PayPal employees—Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim—in February 2005, Google bought the site in November 2006 for US$1.65 billion, YouTube now operates as one of Googles subsidiaries. Unregistered users can watch videos on the site, while registered users are permitted to upload an unlimited number of videos. Videos deemed potentially offensive are available only to registered users affirming themselves to be at least 18 years old, YouTube earns advertising revenue from Google AdSense, a program which targets ads according to site content and audience. As of February 2017, there are more than 400 hours of content uploaded to YouTube each minute, as of April 2017, the website is ranked as the second most popular site in the world by Alexa Internet, a web traffic analysis company. YouTube was founded by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim, Hurley had studied design at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and Chen and Karim studied computer science together at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Karim could not easily find video clips of either event online, Hurley and Chen said that the original idea for YouTube was a video version of an online dating service, and had been influenced by the website Hot or Not. YouTube began as a venture capital-funded technology startup, primarily from an $11.5 million investment by Sequoia Capital between November 2005 and April 2006, YouTubes early headquarters were situated above a pizzeria and Japanese restaurant in San Mateo, California. The domain name www. youtube. com was activated on February 14,2005, the first YouTube video, titled Me at the zoo, shows co-founder Jawed Karim at the San Diego Zoo. From early 2008 to September 2010, Current Television aired the weekly The Rotten Tomatoes Show, featuring hosts, a shorter segment was incorporated into the weekly show, InfoMania, which ended in 2011. In September 2013, the website introduced TV Zone, a section for reviewing scripted TV shows, Rotten Tomatoes was launched on August 12,1998, as a spare-time project by Senh Duong. His goal in creating Rotten Tomatoes was to create a site where people can get access to reviews from a variety of critics in the U. S. As a fan of Jackie Chans, Duong was inspired to create the website after collecting all the reviews of Chans movies as they were being published in the United States, the first movie whose reviews were featured on Rotten Tomatoes was Your Friends & Neighbors. The Chicago Tribune is a daily newspaper based in Chicago, Illinois, United States, owned by tronc, Inc. formerly Tribune Publishing. The Tribune was founded by James Kelly, John E. Wheeler, forrest, publishing its first edition on June 10,1847. The paper saw numerous changes in ownership and editorship over the eight years. Initially, the Tribune was not politically affiliated but tended to either the Whig or Free Soil parties against the Democrats in elections. By late 1853, it was frequently running xenophobic editorials that criticized foreigners, about this time it also became a strong proponent of temperance. Ray became editor-in-chief, Medill became the editor, and Alfred Cowles, Sr. brother of Edwin Cowles. Each purchased one third of the Tribune, under their leadership the Tribune distanced itself from the Know Nothings and became the main Chicago organ of the Republican Party. However, the continued to print anti-Catholic and anti-Irish editorials. Between 1858 and 1860, the paper was known as the Chicago Press & Tribune, on October 25,1860, it became the Chicago Daily Tribune. Before and during the American Civil War, the new editors pushed an abolitionist agenda and strongly supported Abraham Lincoln, the paper remained a force in Republican politics for years afterwards. In 1861, the Tribune published new lyrics for the song John Browns Body by William W. Patton, Medill served as mayor of Chicago for one term after the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. Under the 20th-century editorship of Colonel Robert R. Joseph McCarthy, when McCormick assumed the position of co-editor in 1910, the Tribune was the third-best-selling paper among Chicagos eight dailies, with a circulation of only 188,000. At the same time, the Tribune competed with the Hearst paper, by 1914, the cousins succeeded in forcing out Managing Editor William Keeley. By 1918, the Examiner was forced to merge with the Chicago Herald, in 1919, Patterson left the Tribune and moved to New York to launch his own newspaper, the New York Daily News. In a renewed war with Hearsts Herald-Examiner, McCormick and Hearst ran rival lotteries in 1922. The Tribune won the battle, adding 250,000 readers to its ranks, also in 1922, the Chicago Tribune hosted an international design competition for its new headquarters, the Tribune Tower. The competition worked brilliantly as a publicity stunt, and more than 260 entries were received, the winner was a neo-Gothic design by New York architects John Mead Howells and Raymond Hood. The Karate Kid (1984 film)

It is an underdog story in the mold of a previous success, the 1976 film Rocky, which Avildsen also directed. The Karate Kid was a success upon release and garnered critical acclaim. The film became the first in a series, spawning three sequels and a remake in 2010, high school senior Daniel LaRusso and his mom, Lucille, move from Newark, New Jersey to Reseda, Los Angeles, California. When they arrive, Daniel meets a neighbor named Freddy Fernandez and their maintenance man is an eccentric but kind and humble Okinawan immigrant named Kesuke Miyagi. At the beach party, Daniel meets Ali Mills, a high school cheerleader from Encino, the two fall for each other, which draws the attention of Johnny Lawrence, Alis ex-boyfriend. Johnny is the top student of a karate dojo called Cobra Kai, Johnny and his gang continue to bully, bother and harass him. At a Halloween party, Daniel douses Johnny with water, leading to a chase, Daniel is eventually caught and beaten savagely, but Mr. Miyagi arrives and rescues him and beats up the five attackers with ease. Amazed, Daniel asks Miyagi to teach him to fight, Miyagi refuses, but agrees to accompany Daniel to the Cobra Kai dojo to resolve the conflict. They meet with the sensei, John Kreese, an ex-Special Forces Vietnam veteran, Miyagi proposes that Daniel will enter the Under-18 All-Valley Karate Tournament, where he can compete with all the Cobra Kai students, and he requests that the bullying cease while Daniel trains. Kreese agrees to the terms, but warns that if Daniel doesnt show up at the tournament, Daniels training starts with menial chores he believes only makes him Miyagis slave. When he becomes frustrated, it is explained that these actions have helped him learn defensive blocks through muscle memory, Daniel applies the life lessons that Miyagi taught him to strengthen his relationship with Ali. At the tournament, Daniel unexpectedly reaches the semi-finals, bobby reluctantly does so, getting disqualified in the process. Daniel is taken to the room, where the physician determines that he cant continue. So he convinces Miyagi to use a pain suppression technique so that he can continue, as Johnny is about to be declared the winner by default, Ali tells the master of ceremonies that Daniel will fight. Daniel then hobbles into the ring and faces Johnny, the match is halted when Daniel uses a scissor leg technique to trip Johnny and deliver a blow to the back of the head, giving him a nose bleed. Kreese orders Johnny to sweep Daniels injured leg, an unethical move, Johnny is horrified at the order, insisting he can beat Daniel legitimately, but obeys under Kreeses intimidation. As the match continues, Johnny seizes Daniels leg and delivers a vicious blow, Daniel, standing with difficulty, assumes the Crane stance, a technique he observed Miyagi performing on the beach. Johnny lunges toward Daniel, who jumps and delivers a kick to Johnnys chin, having gained respect towards his nemesis, Johnny takes Daniels trophy from the master of ceremonies and presents it to Daniel himself as Daniel is carried off by the enthusiastic crowd

Fight Club

Fight Club is a 1999 American film based on the 1996 novel of the same name by Chuck Palahniuk. The film was directed by David Fincher, and stars Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, Norton plays the unnamed protagonist, referred to as the narrator, who is discontented with his white-collar job. He forms a club with soap maker Tyler Durden, played by Pitt. The narrator becomes embroiled in a relationship with Durden and a woman, Marla Singer. Palahniuks novel was optioned by 20th Century Fox producer Laura Ziskin, Fincher was one of four directors the producers considered, and was selected because of his enthusiasm for the film. Fincher developed the script with Uhls and sought screenwriting advice from the cast, the director and the cast compared the film to Rebel Without a Cause and The Graduate. They said its theme was the conflict between a generation of people and the value system of advertising. The director copied the homoerotic overtones from Palahniuks novel to make audiences uncomfortable, studio executives did not like the film and restructured Finchers intended marketing campaign to try to reduce anticipated losses. It was cited as one of the most controversial and talked-about films of 1999, the film later found critical and commercial success with its DVD release, which established Fight Club as a cult film. The unnamed Narrator is a traveling automobile recall specialist who suffers from insomnia, the group assumes that he, too, is affected like they are, and he spontaneously weeps into the nurturing arms of another man, finding a freedom from the catharsis that relieves his insomnia. He decides to participate in groups of various kinds, always allowing the groups to assume that he suffers what they do. However, he begins to notice another impostor, Marla Singer, whose presence reminds him that he is attending these groups dishonestly, the two negotiate to avoid their attending the same groups, but, before going their separate ways, Marla gives him her phone number. On a flight home from a trip, the Narrator meets Tyler Durden. After the flight, the Narrator returns home to find that his apartment has been destroyed by an explosion, with no one else to contact, he calls Tyler, and they meet at a bar. After a conversation about consumerism, outside the bar, Tyler chastises the Narrator for his timidity about needing a place to stay, Tyler requests that the Narrator hit him, which leads the two to engage in a fistfight. The Narrator moves into Tylers home, a dilapidated house in an industrial area of their city. They have further fights outside the bar on subsequent nights, the fighting eventually moves to the bars basement where the men form a club which routinely meets only to provide an opportunity for the men to fight recreationally. Marla overdoses on pills and telephones the Narrator for help, he ignores her, leaving his phone receiver

David Fincher

David Andrew Leo Fincher is an American director and producer, notably for films, television series, and music videos. He was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Director for the fantasy drama The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. For the latter, he won the Golden Globe Award for Best Director and his films Zodiac and The Social Network are ranked in BBCs 2016 poll of the greatest motion pictures since 2000. Howard died of cancer in April 2003, Fincher knew from a young age he wanted to go into filmmaking. When Fincher was two old, the family moved to San Anselmo, California, where filmmaker George Lucas was one of his neighbors. Fincher moved to Ashland, Oregon in his teens, where he graduated from Ashland High School, inspired by Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Fincher began making movies at age eight with an 8mm camera. Fincher was employed at Korty Films as a production assistant and he moved up the ranks and became a visual effects producer, working on the animated Twice Upon a Time. He was hired by Industrial Light & Magic in 1983 as an assistant cameraman and matte photographer, and worked on Return of the Jedi and Indiana Jones, in 1984, he left ILM to direct a commercial for the American Cancer Society that depicted a fetus smoking a cigarette. This quickly brought Fincher to the attention of producers in Los Angeles, though he would continue to direct spots for Levis, Converse, Nike, Pepsi, Revlon, Sony, Coca-Cola, Chanel, and other companies, Fincher began to focus on music videos. Set on a career, Fincher co-founded video-production company Propaganda Films and started off directing music videos. After directing several music videos, Finchers feature debut was Alien 3, while it received an Oscar nomination for visual effects, the film was not well received by critics or moviegoers. Fincher became involved with disputes with 20th Century Fox over script. In Directors Cut, Picturing Hollywood in the 21st Century, he blames the producers for not putting the necessary trust in him. He stated in an interview with The Guardian in 2009, No one hated it more than me, to this day, no one hates it more than me. After this, he retreated back into the world of commercial, the film, based on a screenplay by Andrew Kevin Walker, told the story of two detectives tracking down a serial killer who bases his killings on the seven deadly sins. The film grossed more than $100 million domestically, after the success of Seven, Fincher went on to film The Game. The story focused on a closed-off San Francisco businessman who receives a gift from his younger brother. The film had middling box-office returns despite being well received by critics, Fight Club is a screen adaptation of Chuck Palahniuks 1996 novel about an insomniac office worker who opens up a club devoted exclusively to bare knuckle fighting for men

O. C. is an abbreviation of Orange County. The series centers on Ryan Atwood, a troubled but tough young man from a home who is adopted by the wealthy and philanthropic Sandy. Ryan and his foster brother Seth, an awkward yet quick-witted teenager. Ryan and Seth spend much time navigating their relationships with girl-next-door Marissa Cooper, Seths childhood crush Summer Roberts, storylines deal with the culture clash between the idealistic Cohen family and the shallow, materialistic, and closed-minded community in which they reside. The series includes elements of postmodernism, and functions as a mixture of melodrama, the series premiered with high ratings and was one of the most popular new dramas of the 2003–2004 television season. It was widely referred to as a pop cultural phenomenon and received positive reception from critics. However, ratings declined as the show went on, the low ratings led to its cancellation in early 2007, even after an online petition that gained over 700,000 signatures. The O. C. has been broadcast in more than fifty countries worldwide, the series has also been released on DVD, as well as on iTunes. Season 1 focuses on Ryan Atwoods arrival in Newport Beach to live with Sandy and Kirsten Cohen, a major theme of the first season is the culture shock Ryan feels as he adjusts from a life of domestic abuse and poverty to living in a superficial high-class society. He quickly befriends and bonds with Seth Cohen, and begins to have a relationship with Marissa Cooper. Although coming from different backgrounds, Ryan soon discovers that he deals with similar issues to his new peers, such as self-identity conflict. The relationship between Ryan and Marissa flourishes when he supports her through her parents divorce, as the show progresses, Ryan takes a very protective role over Marissa, showing Ryan to be a much more stable, controlled person than originally portrayed. Meanwhile, Sandy Cohen frequently comes into conflict with Caleb Nichol, Kirstens father, the second season of The O. C. continues to follow the tumultuous romantic relationships between Ryan and Marissa, Seth and Summer, and Sandy and Kirsten. and evolve the characters. Ryans character begins to grow when he stands up to Lindsay and convinces her to him to contribute. They later become involved romantically, creating extreme complications and relational shifts amongst the now Cooper-Nichol family, the Bait Shop becomes a prominent social destination for the teenage characters. A number of recurring characters are introduced, such as D. J, Lindsay Gardner, Zach Stevens, and Alex Kelly, with whom the main characters form a variety of relationships. Ryans brother, Trey Atwood, gets out of jail and threatens to bring Ryans old life into his new one, Sandy and Kirsten also face new conflicts after drifting apart during the summer. Season 2 ends with Marissa shooting Trey after Ryan confronts him for attempting to sexually assault Marissa, Season 3 creates many dynamic changes with regards to relationships and power within the characters society

The MTV Movie Award for Best Fight is an award presented to actors and characters for quality fight scenes in films at the MTV Movie Awards, a ceremony established in 1992. Honors in several categories are awarded by MTV at the annual ceremonies, the MTV Movie Award for Best Fight was first presented in 1996 to Adam Sandler and Bob Barker for their fight in Happy Gilmore. Never Back Down 2, The Beatdown is a 2011 direct-to-DVD American martial arts film starring Evan Peters, Michael Jai White, Dean Geyer, Alex Meraz, Todd Duffee, Scott Epstein and Jillian Murray. It is a sequel to the 2008 film Never Back Down, the film made its world premiere at the ActionFest film festival in Asheville, North Carolina, on April 8,2011. The film was released on DVD on September 13,2011 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, the film marks Whites directorial debut. After losing a fight, boxer Zack Gomes is informed by a doctor that he has sustained a partially detached retina, on his way out of the hospital, he overhears the receptionist talking about MMA while viewing the website for an upcoming underground event known as The Beatdown. Talented MMA fighter Tim Newhouse struggles to help his family when they are in following the death of his father. Former high school wrestler Mike Stokes is the new kid in college, comic book store clerk Justin Epstein is walking home when he is run down and stabbed by bullies. However, he is saved by Tim and his martial arts master Case Walker, Mike gets kicked off the college wrestling team for starting a brawl and knocking out a teammate who made degrading comments about his father. Afterwards, he goes to see Max Cooperman, who had contacted him about entering the Beatdown. Outside Maxs dorm room, Mike meets Zack with both taking an instant disliking to each other, as part of their tryout, they brawl for a bit and Max tells them that while they are good, they need to get better. He was set to become a phenomenon in the MMA world years ago and they find Case at his home in an old junkyard with a makeshift gym where Tim and Justin are already training. Case is at first reluctant to train either of them, but he states that he will teach each of them differently, Max goes into Cases trailer and offers him the chance to make some money and at the same time, help him promote the Beatdown. Later on, Case is harassed by officers, who threaten him for violating his probation. Because of this, the team builds a new gym where they can train, the rest of the group find out what has happened to Case and decide to band together and take on Justin at the Beatdown to avenge their mentor. With each facing their own trials to reach the final match, Mike defeats Zack, while Justin injures Tim in the restroom - thus eliminating him from the tournament. In the tournament finals, Mike engages Justin in a fight until he wins by breaking Justins right shoulder via an Omoplata submission hold. Justin attempts to retaliate by jumping Mike from behind, but Mike counters with a punch to the face. As Mike and his girlfriend Eve celebrate his win, he calls his father. Michael Jai White is an American actor, writer, director, producer, stunt coordinator and martial artist who has appeared in numerous films and television series. He is the first African American to portray a comic book superhero in a major motion picture, having starred as Al Simmons. White appeared as Marcus Williams in the Tyler Perry films Why Did I Get Married, and Why Did I Get Married Too. and currently stars as the character on the TBS/OWN comedy-drama television series Tyler Perrys For Better or Worse. White portrayed Jax Briggs in Mortal Kombat, Legacy, White also portrayed boxer Mike Tyson in the 1995 HBO television movie Tyson. White was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved as a teen to Bridgeport, Connecticut, where he graduated from Central High School in 1985. He is a martial artist, holding black belts in eight different styles, Shotokan, Taekwondo, Kobudo, Goju Ryu, Tang Soo Do, Wushu and Kyokushin. White started training in the arts at the age of seven in Jujutsu. Whites first major starring role and breakout performance was in the 1995 HBO film Tyson and he portrayed the eponymous character in the 1997 movie Spawn, making him the first African American to portray a major comic book superhero in a major motion picture. His work in Spawn earned him a nomination for the Blockbuster Entertainment Award for Best Male Newcomer, White starred opposite Jean-Claude Van Damme in Universal Soldier, The Return. In 2001, he starred opposite fellow martial artist Steven Seagal in Exit Wounds. In 2003, he starred in Busta Rhymes and Mariah Careys music video I Know What You Want, since 2003, in addition to his on screen roles, White has been doing voice work, including Static Shock and the Justice League. White showcases his martial skills in the direct-to-DVD film Undisputed II. He also appears in Michelle Yeohs Silver Hawk in 2004 and he appeared in Kill Bill, Volume 2, although his role was cut from the theatrical release. His film Why Did I Get Married, opened at number one at the box office on October 12,2007. White played the role of the mob boss Gambol in the 2008 film The Dark Knight and he also starred in the film Blood and Bone and the blaxploitation homage Black Dynamite, both released in 2009. Alejandro Alex Meraz is an American dancer, actor and martial artist. Meraz is best known for playing the werewolf named Paul Lahote in the film New Moon, Meraz was born in Mesa, Arizona. He attended the New School for the Arts, and is an avid painter, besides break-dancing, which he was advent in during the early 2000s under the name Nomak, Alex excels in indigenous and contemporary dancing. He has studied mixed martial arts, winning tournaments in karate. Alexs first big film was The New World as one of the Powhatan core warriors, thereafter he was in the running for the film Apocalypto but in the end was turned down. His big break came when he was cast as werewolf Paul Lahote in the film New Moon and he was married December 31,2007 to his Vietnamese-American wife, Kim. His wife, a Twilight fan, told him he should audition for New Moon and they have a son named Somak, for whom his mentor, actor Raoul Trujillo, is the godfather. Somak means beautiful one in Quechua, a language from Bolivia, Ecuador. In June 2012 the couple had their child, a son named Talus Alexander Meraz. He also starred in the latest season of CSI, New York, Meraz played a Seal Team member in the 2016 action film Suicide Squad. Jillian Murray is an American actress. Liara TSoni for the Mass Effect video game series and she played Dr. Heather Pinkney in the first two seasons of the CBS medical drama Code Black. Murray was born in Reading, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Wyomissing in Berks County, in 1998, she and her parents moved to Tucson, Arizona, Murray later relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film. Murray made her debut in the 2003 independent film Deep Toad as Natashia. She was later cast in Fifty Pills as Jayne, followed by Legacy and her first leading role was in The Fun Park, a 2007 indie horror flick, playing a mentally unstable girl. Murray starred in a role on the Disney Channel original series Sonny with a Chance. She was offered a regular role after the 4th episode. She landed the female role in the comedy Cougar Hunting playing Penelope, as well as the female lead in her first studio film in Wild Things. After wrapping that film in 2010 she was offered the female in her second studio film Never Back Down 2. This film is where she met her longtime boyfriend Dean Geyer, murrays face and body were used as the model for the character of Liara Tsoni in the Mass Effect franchise of video games. She recently appeared in the episode of the 2011 revival of the reality series Fear Factor. In 2012, Murray starred alongside Danny Trejo and Ron Perlman in the action film Bad Ass and she also produced her first film, Visible Scars, and starred in the film alongside Tom Sizemore. She landed a role on MTVs hit show Awkward playing Olivia, in 2013 she landed numerous indie flicks including Mantervention, Windsor Drive, and My Favorite Five. At the end of 2013, she played the lead in a golf drama titled The Squeeze alongside Jeremy Sumpter, Christopher McDonald. Mixed martial arts is a full-contact combat sport that allows both striking and grappling, both standing and on the ground, using techniques from other combat sports and martial arts. The first documented use of the mixed martial arts was in a review of UFC1 by television critic Howard Rosenberg in 1993. The term gained popularity when newfullcontact. com, then one of the largest websites covering the sport, the question of who actually coined the term is subject to debate. During the early 20th century, various mixed-style contests took place throughout Japan, in 1980 CV Productions, Inc. created the first regulated MMA league in the United States, named Tough Guy Contest, later renamed Battle of the Superfighters. The company sanctioned ten tournaments in Pennsylvania, however, in 1983 the Pennsylvania State Senate passed a bill prohibiting the sport. In 1993, the Gracie family brought vale tudo, developed in Brazil from the 1920s, later, individual fighters employed multiple martial arts into their style. MMA promoters were pressured to adopt additional rules to increase safety, to comply with sport regulations. Following these changes, the sport has increased popularity with a pay-per-view business that rivals boxing. In Ancient Greece there was a sport called pankration, which featured a combination of grappling and striking skills similar to found in modern MMA. Pankration was formed by a combination of the already established wrestling and boxing traditions and, in Olympic terms, All strikes and holds were allowed with the exception of biting and gouging, which were banned. Fighters, also known as pankratists, fought until a fighter submitted, according to E. Norman Gardiner, No branch of athletics was more popular than the pankration. From its origins in Ancient Greece, pankration was later passed on to the Romans, the mid nineteenth century saw the prominence of the new sport savate in the combat sports circle. At that time, French fighters wanted to test out the sport against the traditional styles of its time. However, the English team still won the four other match-ups during the contest, since then other similar contest also occurred by the late 19th to mid-20th century between French Savateurs and other combat styles. The next publicized encounter occurred in the late 1890s when future heavyweight boxing champion Bob Fitzsimmons took on European Greco-Roman Wrestling champion Ernest Roeber. In September 1901, Frank Paddy Slavin, who had been a contender for Sullivans boxing title, knocked out future world wrestling champion Frank Gotch in Dawson City, Canada. The judo-practitioner Ren-nierand who gained fame after defeating George Dubois, would again in another similar contest against Ukrainian wrestler Ivan Poddubny. Lyoto Carvalho Machida is a Brazilian mixed martial artist who currently competes in the middleweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He is a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, Lyoto was born in Salvador, Brazil, as the third son of the highly ranked head of the Brazilian branch of the Japan Karate Association, Shotokan karate master Yoshizo Machida. Yoshizo moved to Brazil from Japan when he was 22 years old, where he met and married Lyotos mother, Ana Claudia, growing up in Belém, Lyoto began training in karate at the age of 3 and earned his black belt at the age of 13. He also began training in sumo at the age of 8 and Brazilian jiu-jitsu and he won a number of amateur karate tournaments, including the 2001 Pan American Karate tournament. Later he travelled to Thailand to study Muay Thai, to Japan to study grappling at the NJPW Dojo and he was the runner-up in the 2000 Brazilian Sumo Championships in the 115 kg division. He joined the cast of the US show Glee in the 4th season as NYADA Junior Brody Weston and appeared in Terra Nova as Mark Reynolds. Geyer was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, as the oldest of three children and he has two younger sisters, Jess Geyer and Tatum Geyer, who share his interest in martial arts. Geyers interest in music started early in his childhood and he learned to play the guitar, and wrote his first song entitled Change which was based on his move from South Africa to Australia. During his schooling life in Melbourne, Australia, he attended Melbourne High School - a selective-entry, all school in South Yarra. At his Australian Idol audition, he played a song called Nice to Meet You. In 2004, Geyer formed a band called Third Edge and recorded his music at Studio 52. Studio 52 then permitted Geyer and his band to perform at the Kool Skools awards night, dean is a strong Christian and has been very open about this calling in his life especially during his Australian Idol days. Geyer auditioned for the series of Australian Idol in his Australian hometown of Melbourne. After singing Marc Cohns Walking In Memphis, Geyer played a piece called Nice to Meet You. This song was praised by the three judges, who voted to send him through to the Top 100. Geyer survived the culling rounds in Sydney, where the Top 100 are reduced to the Top 24 and he sang I Dont Wanna Be by Gavin DeGraw for his elimination performance, and later performed the U2 smash hit Beautiful Day with Chris Murphy. They became close friends and impressed the judges with their voices, Geyer was the first contestant who was accepted by Idol into the top 100. On 28 May, Geyer was the second contestant voted into the top 12, geyers performance of Ryan Cabreras On the Way Down on 15 October received a touchdown from judge Mark Holden. His Disco performance in the Final 8 of Turn the Beat Around included a front handspring by Geyer off the side of the stage and a backflip at the end of his performance. In the weeks leading up to the final of Australian Idol 2006, on 12 November, Geyer received a second Touchdown from Mark Holden after his performance of Edwin McCains Ill Be. Joshua Lawrence Barnett is an American mixed martial artist and professional wrestler who competes in the Heavyweight division of the UFC. He is the former UFC Heavyweight Champion, as well as the inaugural and he has also won the King of Pancrase Openweight Championship and was a finalist in the PRIDE2006 Openweight Grand Prix and the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix Championship. Barnett claims a mixed martial arts record of over 50-8 when both sanctioned and unsanctioned bouts are counted and he has also competed in Affliction, World Victory Road, DREAM and Impact FC. Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, Barnett had a troubled childhood and he was put into anger management programs at a young age and learned to cope with his anger by participating in athletics. Barnett attended Ballard High School, where he excelled at wrestling, football, after seeing UFC2 as a sophomore, he decided that he wanted to be a mixed martial arts fighter. Barnett had originally attended the University of Montana to play football for the school as a walk-on, at the recommendation of an instructor at Montana, Barnett went to train at the dojo of Jim Harrison. Although he did not have the money for classes, he received training in exchange for helping with maintenance, Barnetts documented professional debut was in early 1997 in Washington, competing for United Full Contact Federation. He won via rear-naked choke submission under three minutes into the fight and he would continue to dominate, reaching a 9-0 record with seven first-round stoppages and wins over future UFC Hall of Famer Dan Severn, Bobby Hoffman, John Marsh, and Bob Gilstrap twice. With a 9-0 record, Barnett was invited to compete in the UFC, Barnett made his UFC debut at UFC28 on November 17,2000 against 610 Gan The Giant McGee and Barnett won via TKO in the second round. Subsequent to his win over Hoffman, Barnett tested positive for banned substances and was given a warning by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, Barnett was then given a title shot for the UFC Heavyweight Championship against then-champion and future UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture. He won via TKO after using the ground and pound technique and became the new, however, after the bout it was revealed that he had again tested positive for banned substances and his title was stripped. Barnett competed in MMA in both PRIDE and Pancrase in Japan, while in Pancrase, he won its Openweight Grand Prix Championship by defeating Yuki Kondo. Winning this title put him alongside the likes of Ken Shamrock, Frank Shamrock, in his first fight in PRIDE, at PRIDE28 against Croatian Mirko Filipović, he suffered a simultaneous fracture and dislocated shoulder injury that required surgery and over six months of rehab. His first fight back post-injury was a rematch against Filipović at Pride 30 and he came back with a win against Kazuhiro Nakamura at PRIDE31. Barnett later beat Alexander Emelianenko by a submission in the second round of the PRIDE Openweight Grand Prix at PRIDE Total Elimination Absolute. He submitted Mark Hunt via kimura in the first round of the Openweight Grand Prix at Pride Critical Countdown Absolute and he said, you know, Sorry and I said to him that he was winning that night and it was an accident. Nathan Jones is an Australian actor, powerlifting champion, strongman and retired professional wrestler. He held the WWA World Heavyweight Championship once in World Wrestling All-Stars, Jones was born in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Before his career as a wrestler, Jones was sentenced to 16 years in 1987 at the age of 18 to Boggo Road Gaol for eight armed robberies between 1985–1987, two of which occurred in Tasmania. During the robberies, he one of Australias most wanted and ended up serving seven years in a maximum-security prison. In 1994, Jones was given one year work release before being discharged at the age of 25, while in prison, he was introduced to the sport of powerlifting. He is also alleged to have begun taking steroids during this time, within a short space of time, he became the National Powerlifting Champion of Australia. Upon his release, Jones also began competing in contests and during this time. As the reigning Australias Strongest Man, he entered the World Strength Championship at Callander and he took first place, topping a field that included 1993 Worlds Strongest Man Gary Taylor. The following weekend, he competed in the World Muscle Power Classic held at Mintlaw, Aberdeenshire and that contest was won by Magnús Ver Magnússon, with Nathan finishing fifth in a field of twelve competitors. Jones next took part in the 1995 Worlds Strongest Man contest, in the second round Jones refused to go down and pulled with his opposite arm, twisting his body. This resulted in breaking the arm he was using to wrestle, Jones returned to Strongman competition in 1996 winning the World Strongman Challenge, and placed third in a Worlds Strongest Man qualifying heat behind Magnús Ver Magnússon and Jorma Ojanaho. He also participated in a martial arts match at KRS-Prides debut event Pride 1 in October 1997. Jones began the match taunting him with a spin kick. However, the sumo wrestler caught one of Nathans knee strikes and took him down, Kitao then worked an americana and Jones immediately tapped out. After working as a bodyguard for multimillionaire Rene Rivkin, Jones began a career in wrestling during this time, Jones first gained fame working in World Wrestling All-Stars, making a large impression at the first WWA pay-per-view Inception, where he was accompanied to the ring by Rove McManus. However he was defeated after Rove was smashed with Jeff Jarretts guitar, during his time in the WWA, Nathan won the WWA World Heavyweight Championship on 7 April 2002 before losing the belt to Scott Steiner only 5 days later. After the title loss, Jones began performing for Pro Wrestling Zero1-Max in June, on 20 October, Jones and Jon Heidenreich defeated Masato Tanaka and Shinjiro Otani to win the NWA Intercontinental Tag Team Championship. On 25 October, Jones and Heidenreich successfully retained the title against Jimmy Snuka Jr. and The Predator before losing the title the day to Naoya Ogawa

Esai Manuel Morales, Jr. is an American actor. He played Bob Morales in the 1987 biopic La Bamba and he also appeared in the PBS drama American Family and in the Showtime series Resurrection Blvd. He is perhaps best known for his roles as Lt. Tony Rodriguez on NYPD Blue and Joseph Adama in the science fiction television series Caprica. Of Puerto Rican descent, Morales was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Esai Morales, Sr. a welder, and Iris Margarita, Morales began his pursuit of an acting career by attending the School of Performing Arts in Manhattan. His first professional performances were in theater and television in New York and his first film was Bad Boys, about teenagers in juvenile correction facility. He played the ex-convict and biker half-brother of 1950s rock and roll singer Ritchie Valens in La Bamba. Some of his roles have reflected his socio-political interests, such as The Burning Season in 1994, My Family/Mi Familia in 1995, The Disappearance of Garcia Lorca. He portrayed a police officer in the film Dogwatch and Father Herrera in The Virgin of Juarez, Morales appeared on television in the mid-1980s on Fame. He co-starred with Burt Lancaster in the NBC-TV miniseries, On Wings of Eagles, playing the Iranian Rashid, Morales also appeared in Miami Vice, The Equalizer, and 24. In the 1990s, he guest-starred on episodes of The Outer Limits, Tales from the Crypt and he was a featured TV actor, seen in a two-part episode of Family Law in 2000. The Bravery

It released three studio albums, The Bravery, The Sun and the Moon and Stir the Blood. It also released an edition of its second album called The Sun and the Moon Complete in 2008. Their music was a synthesis of 1980s-influenced genres such as post-punk revival, dance-rock, frontman-songwriter Sam Endicott and keyboardist John Conway were classmates at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York. As freshmen, their partnership began while playing local bars in numerous recording projects, sometimes including future CSI. After graduating, Endicott and Conway moved to New York City where Endicott switched from guitar to vocals. Guitarist Michael Zakarin joined after answering an advert in a paper, and brought with him bassist Mike Hindert. Drummer Anthony Burulcich was living in Boston, Massachusetts where he had studied percussion at Berklee College of Music, after his sisters death, Burulcich moved back to his childhood home in Long Island New York to be with his family. On the day Burulcich was moving, while driving with his belongings in a U-Haul truck, Endicott and Burulcich were introduced by mutual friends from the New York band Bishop Allen. Though Burulcich is the drummer for the band, many of the drums on the debut album were recorded prior to Burulcich joining the band. The band played their first gig at the Stinger Club in Brooklyn in November 2003, to promote their local shows, they manufactured 1,000 posters and 3 song cd samplers containing the songs An Honest Mistake, No Brakes and Public Service Announcement. Both items featured the iconic image by New York artist C. The same artwork later became the cover of The Bravery’s debut album, the band self promoted themselves by handing out CDs and postering the Lower East Side of Manhattan and Brooklyn. Anthem for the Underdog is the third album by the rock band 12 Stones. Teenagers is the fourth and final single and the eleventh track from My Chemical Romances third studio album, The Black Parade. It is the third United States single from the album, but it is the single released in the United Kingdom. This song is the eleventh overall single. The song was released to radio on May 15,2007, despite charting at #67 on the US Billboard Hot 100, Teenagers is their highest single on the Pop 100 at #23. Gerard Way is quoted as saying that he wrote the song after finding himself in a New York subway car full of high schoolers, That was the first time I felt old. I was nervous and I was a target. I felt like I had become a parent figure or part of the problem, about the relationship between the song and concerns about gun violence, Way said, This song was #25 on Rolling Stones list of the 100 Best Songs of 2007. My Chemical Romance was an American rock band from New Jersey, active from 2001 to 2013. The bands best-known lineup consisted of lead vocalist Gerard Way, guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero, bassist Mikey Way and drummer Bob Bryar. Founded by Gerard, Mikey, Toro, Matt Pelissier, and later joined by Iero and they signed with Reprise Records the next year and released their major label debut Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge in 2004. Shortly after the release, Pelissier was replaced by Bob Bryar. A commercial success, the album was awarded platinum status over a year later, after the bands split, a greatest hits album entitled May Death Never Stop You was released in March 2014. A tenth anniversary reissue of The Black Parade was released in September 2016 titled The Black Parade/Living with Ghosts, the band was formed by frontman Gerard Way and drummer Matt Pelissier soon after the September 11 attacks. Witnessing the World Trade Center towers fall influenced Ways life to the extent that he decided to start a band, the first recording sessions were undertaken in Pelissiers attic, where the songs Our Lady of Sorrows and Cubicles were recorded. The band refers to those sessions as The Attic Demos, after hearing the demo and dropping out of college, Mikey Way decided to join the band. While with Eyeball Records, the band met Frank Iero, the lead vocalist and guitarist for Pencey Prep, following Pencey Preps split in 2002, Iero became a member of My Chemical Romance, just days prior to the recording of the bands debut album. They recorded their album, I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love. The album was produced by Thursday frontman Geoff Rickley after the band became friends with him while playing shows in New Jersey, Iero played guitar on two of the tracks, one of which was Early Sunsets Over Monroeville. During this time, the band was booked at the venue, Big Daddys. My Chemical Romance offered free downloads through PureVolume and the social networking website MySpace, in 2003, the band signed a deal with Reprise Records. Following a tour with Avenged Sevenfold, the band working on their second album. Released in 2004, the album went platinum in just over a year, the band released four singles from the album, Im Not Okay, Thank You for the Venom, Helena, and The Ghost of You. After returning from a tour of Japan in July 2004, the band replaced Matt Pelissier with Bob Bryar. At the beginning of 2005, the band was featured on the first Taste of Chaos tour and they then co-headlined Warped Tour 2005 with Fall Out Boy and co-headlined a tour with Alkaline Trio and Reggie and the Full Effect around the US. In March 2006, the album Life on the Murder Scene was released, incorporating a CD and it included one documentary DVD chronicling the bands history, and a second DVD with music videos, the making of their videos and live performances

TV on the Radio is an American indie rock band formed in 2001 in Brooklyn, New York. For most of the existence, the core TV on the Radio lineup has been Tunde Adebimpe, David Andrew Sitek, Kyp Malone. Gerard Smith was with the band from 2005 until his death in 2011, the first release from TV on the Radio was the self-released OK Calculator. They were later joined by Kyp Malone, and released the Young Liars EP in 2003 and this was followed by the full-length Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes which earned the band the 2004 Shortlist Music Prize. The album features guest appearances from David Bowie, Omega Moon, Celebration, Dragons of Zynth, Martin Perna and Stuart D. Bogie of Antibalas, Blonde Redhead, Bowie contributed back-up vocals on the song Province. In promotion of the album, the band performed Wolf Like Me on the Late Show with David Letterman, during the U. S. tour, the band performed a few covers with Bauhaus singer Peter Murphy and Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor. The bands third album, Dear Science, was released September 23,2008 on Interscope and it was made available for streaming on their Myspace page and subsequently leaked onto the internet on September 6,2008. The album was named the best album of 2008 by Rolling Stone, The Guardian, Spin magazine, club, MTV, Entertainment Weekly, the Pitchfork Medias readers poll as well as the Pazz and Jop critics poll. It was also named the second best album of 2008 by NME, on September 22,2008, TV on the Radio performed Dancing Choose in the setting of a flight of outer apartment stairs on the Late Show with David Letterman. With Jools Holland on September 30,2008, performing Golden Age and Dancing Choose, the band performed Dancing Choose on the February 9,2009 episode of The Colbert Report. On September 3,2009, Tunde Adebimpe announced that TV on the Radio would be taking a year-long hiatus, guitarist Kyp Malones solo album, under the name Rain Machine, was released on September 22,2009 on ANTI-. In addition, Sitek produced Holly Mirandas album The Magicians Private Library, in March 2010 the bands lead vocalist, Tunde Adebimpe, designed a charity T-shirt for the Yellow Bird Project to raise money for Haiti Relief via Partners in Health. On February 7,2011, the band announced an end to their hiatus, the film was directed by various directors under the supervision of Tunde Adebimpe. It was announced in March 2011, that the bands bassist, Gerard passed away the morning of April 20th,2011. In May 2013, the band headlined and curated the All Tomorrows Parties music festival held at Pontins holiday camp in Camber Sands, England, at which they debuted the new song Mercy. The Sufferer & the Witness is the fourth album by American punk rock band Rise Against. The album was released on July 4,2006 and it was their second release on major label Geffen Records, following 2004s Siren Song of the Counter Culture. It is their final album on Geffen, and the last to feature guitarist Chris Chasse. It sold 48,000 copies in its first week, debuting at #10 on the Billboard 200, the album has been certified gold by the RIAA and platinum by the CRIA. It is Rise Againsts only album with an advisory sticker on it. The band had been writing songs and ideas during the Siren Song of the Counter Culture tour and had completed five songs by early December 2005. Also in December, it was announced that Bill Stevenson would produce the album at the Blasting Room studio in Fort Collins. Pre-production began in January 2006 in Chicago, the album was recorded at the Blasting Room with producers Bill Stevenson and Jason Livermore for 12 weeks between January and April 2006. The band talked about the sound and release date of the album in April, saying, Were pretty excited and you wont find any acoustic guitar on this one, but perhaps a few other surprises and curveballs await your curious ears. look for an early summer release. The albums name was revealed in the news release, it would be titled The Sufferer & the Witness. The album was mixed by Chris Lord-Alge in Los Angeles, the Sufferer & the Witness was released on July 4,2006 and peaked at number 10 on the Billboard 200 album chart, the highest position the band reached at the time. Their highest charting album, Endgame, which was released in 2011 reached number 2 on the same chart, by August 2006, the album had sold over 140,000 copies. The album received positive reviews, Corey Apar of AllMusic described the album one shout-along and he praised the musics sincerity and passion and described it maturing within the realms of major-label hardcore revivalism, while still remaining relevant and exciting. The album received a rating of four out of five stars, while Ready to Fall, the song Under the Knife appeared in the soundtrack for the 2008 Box office hit film Never Back Down. Rise Against is an American melodic hardcore band from Chicago, Illinois, formed in 1999. The bands current line-up comprises vocalist/rhythm guitarist Tim McIlrath, lead guitarist Zach Blair, bassist Joe Principe, former members are guitarists Dan Wlekinski, Kevin White, Todd Mohney and Chris Chasse, and drummers Toni Tintari and Dan Lumley. The band spent its first four years signed to the independent record label Fat Wreck Chords, both the albums met with considerable underground success, and in 2003 the band signed with the major label Geffen. Their major label debut Siren Song of the Counter Culture brought the band mainstream success and their next two albums, The Sufferer & the Witness and Appeal to Reason, were also successful and peaked at number ten and number three on the Billboard 200 chart, respectively. Appeal to Reason was followed three years later by Endgame, All four albums released via Geffen were certified platinum in Canada, while three of these albums were certified gold in the United States. Rise Against is also known for their advocacy of progressivism, supporting organisations such as Amnesty International, the band actively promotes animal rights and most of the members are straight edge, PETA supporters and vegetarians. In the mid-1990s, guitarist Dan Wleklinski and bassist Joe Principe were members of the Chicago punk rock band 88 Fingers Louie, although the band was touted as a promising new act, internal arguments between members led to a disbandment in 1999. Afterwards, Principe recorded several demos in the hope of using them in a new band, together with Wleklinski, Principe recruited drummer Toni Tintari and lead vocalist Tim McIlrath. Principe met McIlrath in Indianapolis while attending a Sick of It All concert, Principe was impressed with McIlraths gritty vocals, which he likened to influential punk musician Ian Mackaye. The group called themselves Transistor Revolt, initial jam sessions were troublesome, as McIlrath unaccustomed to the bands fast-paced music. Despite these early issues, the band was able to produce the extended play Transistor Revolt in 2000, the EP attracted the attention of several punk fans including Fat Mike, the lead vocalist of NOFX and co-founder of the independent record label Fat Wreck Chords. Fat Mike offered to sign the band to a recording contract and he gave some suggestions, like Jimmy Cracked Corn And The I Dont Cares, although none of the band members liked them. After four months, Tintari suggested Rise Against, to which the band agreed to, with Fat Wreck Chords, Rise Against released their first studio album in 2001, The Unraveling. It was produced by veteran punk producer Mass Giorgini, Wlekinski left the band in 2001, and was replaced by former The Killing Tree guitarist Todd Mohney. After touring in support of The Unraveling, the returned to the studio in December 2002 to work on their second full-length studio album, Revolutions per Minute. The band toured extensively in support of its first two albums, opening for Sick of It All, NOFX, Agnostic Front, No Use for a Name, AFI, in addition, Rise Against participated in the 2003 Warped Tour. After the release of Revolutions per Minute, Rise Against was approached by major record labels. However, DreamWorks Records folded into Geffen Records the following year, Rise Against were also to switch guitarists, following Mohneys departure in 2003, he was replaced by former Reach the Sky member Chris Chasse

Hakeem Seriki, better known by his stage name Chamillionaire, is an American musician, rapper, entrepreneur, and investor from Houston, Texas. He is the CEO of Chamillitary Entertainment, Chamillionaire was also the founder and an original member of the Color Changin Click until the group split in 2005. He began his career independently with local releases in 2002, including collaboration album Get Ya Mind Correct with fellow Houston rapper and he signed to Universal Records in 2005 and released The Sound of Revenge under Universal. It included hit singles Turn It Up featuring Lil Flip and the number-one, Ultimate Victory followed in 2007, which was notable for not containing any profanity. Chamillionaire is also known for his most anticipated Mixtape Messiah series, in early 2011, he left Universal Records, which led to his would-be third album, Venom, going unreleased. Chamillionaire released his first independent extended play Ammunition in March 2012 and was noted as his first major release since he left the label, another EP, Elevate, was released on February 17,2013. He said it is going to be one of several to be released before his studio album. He is working on his studio album, Poison. Chamillionaire joined Los Angeles-based venture capital firm Upfront Ventures in early 2015, Watts, who himself was convinced to rap on the record, enjoyed the freestyle so much that he put the verses on one of his mixtapes. Soon, Seriki and Paul Wall became regular staples on Houstons mixtape circuit, appeared on several of Wattss mixtapes, Chamillionaire and Paul Wall soon started their own group, The Color Changin Click. In 2002, Chamillionaire and Paul Wall collaborated for the album Get Ya Mind Correct, the Source magazine nominated the album for independent album of the year in 2002. Chamillionaire and the Color Changin Click, dubbed Houstons answer to 50 Cent and his G-Unit posse, Chamillionaires first major solo release The Sound of Revenge was released through Chamillitary Entertainment and Universal Records on November 22,2005. The album debuted and peaked at number 10 on the Billboard 200 album chart in the United States and its video also was named Best Rap Video at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards. In 2007, he won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for Ridin and he was at that time signed with Michael 5000 Watts Swishahouse label. Comedic performer Weird Al Yankovic made a parody of the song entitled White & Nerdy, the third single from the album was Grown and Sexy. Additionally, the bonus track Grind Time was featured in the video game NBA Live 06, the album was certified platinum by the RIAA, and a chopped and screwed version, screwed by OG Ron C, was released in February 2006. Guest appearances for the album included Lil Flip, Natalie, Krayzie Bone, Bun B, Lil Wayne, Pastor Troy, Killer Mike, Scarface, singer Billy Cook, and his brother Rasaq. Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. known professionally as Lil Wayne, is an American hip hop recording artist and author from New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1991, at the age of nine, Lil Wayne joined Cash Money Records as the youngest member of the label, in 1996, Lil Wayne joined the southern hip hop group Hot Boys, with his Cash Money label-mates Juvenile, Young Turk and Lil Doogie. The Cribs

The Cribs are an English indie rock band originally from Wakefield, West Yorkshire. The band consists of twins Gary and Ryan Jarman and their younger brother Ross Jarman and they were subsequently joined by ex-The Smiths and Modest Mouse guitarist Johnny Marr who was made a formal member of the group in 2008. Marr would remain as part of the band until 2011, his departure was announced on 11 April through the bands website. They had outgrown this tag by the time of the success of their third LP. In 2008, Q magazine described the band as The biggest cult band in the UK, in 2012, the bands 10th anniversary year, they were honoured with the Spirit of Independence award at the annual Q Awards. Several months later, they received the Outstanding Contribution to Music award at the annual NME Awards, as of 2015, their last 3 albums have charted in the UK Top 10. The Cribs were formed in late 2001 as a project for the three brothers. They also released a split 7 single on Leeds based garage/riot grrrl/punk label Squirrel Records during this period with former Shove/Boyskout member Jen Schande, limited to 300 copies on blue vinyl the record is now a rarity that sells for upwards of $150 on eBay. According to Mojo magazine, On the strength of one demo and we went to see them at the Metro on Oxford Street and completely fell in love with them. They seemed like such a pop band. Every song sounded like a single - Mark Bowen, Wichita Recordings, after signing with Wichita Recordings, the band began re-recording many of the songs from the original demo, as well as several new tracks for what would be their debut record. I tried handclaps, they were not sure about handclaps and it was all Keep it real - Bobby Conn. Then sessions moved to Toe Rag Studios in Hackney with the band self-producing, the album was completed in 7 days, live to 8-track tape, with Ed Deegan engineering. Released on 8 March 2004, the album found early supporters in the NME, who commented on its pop melodies. Lo-fi would be a term that would follow the band around for the few years. Again, from the NME in 2011, Recorded in a week, Radio 1 DJ Steve Lamacq was also an early champion. What About Me was the third and final single from the album, the Cribs toured extensively throughout 2004 and into 2005, both as headliners as well as supporting artists like old friend Bobby Conn, Death Cab For Cutie and The Libertines.
