Peter Ng Kok Song, better known as Ng Kok Song, is a Singaporean financier, fund manager and entrepreneur who served as the chief investment officer of GIC between 2007 and 2013, and director of the Monetary Authority of Singapore between 1985 and 1986. He is also the founder of asset management company Avanda Investment Management.

Presidential elections were held in Singapore on 1 September 2023, the sixth public presidential elections but only the third to be contested by more than one candidate. Incumbent president Halimah Yacob, who had been elected unopposed in 2017, did not seek re-election.
