Om Prakash Rao is an Indian film director, screenwriter, film producer and actor who primarily works in Kannada film industry. He has, till date, directed about 47 films in Kannada language. He rose to fame when a regional channel, TV9 Kannada did a sting operation revealing how Om Prakash Rao casts female actors only if they were willing to give him sexual favors.

Lockup Death is a 1994 Indian Kannada-language action film directed and written by Om Prakash Rao starring Devaraj, Nirosha and Saikumar. The film was produced by Ramu for his Ramu Enterprises production banner.
