Orochi, the Eight-Headed Dragon is a 1994 Japanese kaiju film directed by Takao Okawara and produced by Shogo Tomiyama, with a screenplay by Wataru Mimura. Produced by Toho, the film is based on Japanese mythology, specifically the birth of Shinto. It stars Masahiro Takashima, Yasuko Sawaguchi, Akaji Maro, Yūki Meguro and Saburo Shinoda.

Yamato Takeru , originally Prince Ousu , was a Japanese folk hero and semi-legendary prince of the Yamato dynasty, son of Emperor Keikō, who is traditionally counted as the 12th Emperor of Japan. The kanji spelling of his name varies: it appears in the Nihon Shoki as 日本武尊 and in the Kojiki as 倭建命.
