Rock 'n' Roll is the fifth and final solo studio album by the English musician John Lennon. Released in February 1975, it is a covers album of rock and roll songs from the late 1950s and early 1960s.

"Stand by Me" is a song originally recorded by American singer-songwriter Ben E. King in 1961, and written by him, along with Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, who together used the pseudonym Elmo Glick.
