Ryan Hartman is an American professional ice hockey forward for the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League (NHL). Hartman was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut in 2015 for the Blackhawks. He is the first player in NHL history to be born in the state of South Carolina.

The 2013 NHL Entry Draft was the 51st NHL Entry Draft. All seven rounds of the draft took place on June 30, 2013, at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The top three selections were Nathan MacKinnon going to the Colorado Avalanche, Aleksander Barkov going to the Florida Panthers, and Jonathan Drouin going to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Nathan MacKinnon was selected first overall by the Colorado Avalanche.
Seth Jones was selected fourth overall by the Nashville Predators.
Rasmus Ristolainen was selected eighth overall by the Buffalo Sabres.
J. T. Compher was selected 35th overall by the Buffalo Sabres.
