Shōwa is a town located in Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. As of 31 May 2019, the town had an estimated population of 20,338 in 8768 households and a population density of 2200 per km2. The total area of the town is 9.08 square kilometres (3.51 sq mi).

Yamanashi Prefecture borders Saitama Prefecture to the northeast, Nagano Prefecture to the northwest, Shizuoka Prefecture to the southwest, Kanagawa Prefecture to the southeast, and Tokyo to the east.
