Shimanto is a town located in Takaoka District, Kōchi Prefecture, Japan. As of 31 July 2022, the town had an estimated population of 15‚917 in 8196 households, and a population density of 25 persons per km2. The total area of the town is 642.30 square kilometres (247.99 sq mi).
