The Lost Village is a Japanese anime television series produced by Diomedéa, directed by Tsutomu Mizushima and written by Mari Okada, with character designs by Naomi Ide and music by Masaru Yokoyama. The series began airing on April 2, 2016, and finished airing on June 18, 2016. The title, Mayoiga , originally stands for a Japanese folklore.

Mari Okada is a Japanese screenwriter, director and manga artist. She is one of the most prolific writers currently working in the anime industry. She won the 16th Animation Kobe Award.
