The Same Old Story (novel)
The Same Old Story is the first novel by Ivan Goncharov, written between 1844 and 1846 and published in 1847. It has also been published in English under the titles A Common Story and An Ordinary Story.

Ivan Aleksandrovich Goncharov was a Russian novelist best known for his novels The Same Old Story, Oblomov (1859), and The Precipice. He also served in many official capacities, including the position of censor.
