KEZO-FM

KEZO-FM is a commercial FM radio station in Omaha, Nebraska. It is owned by E. W. Scripps Company, KEZO airs a mainstream rock radio format. Studios and offices are on Mockingbird Drive and the transmitter is off North 72nd Street. Todd-n-Tyler host the morning show, with the program syndicated to other radio stations. KEZO broadcasts the programming from its sister station KXSP on its HD Radio digital audio subchannel. On May 15,1961, the station signed on as WOW-FM, after initially simulcasting the AM station, it switched to broadcasting beautiful music. It become a Top 40 station for a time in the early 1970s under the call letters KFMX. Then it switched back to easy listening music, and, in 1973, changed its letters to KEZO. The station flipped to rock music at 9 a. m. on September 6,1978, still keeping its KEZO call letters, notable former Z-92 announcers include Otis XII of the group Ogden Edsl and his long-time partner Diver Dan Doomey. A popular long-running feature of their show was Space Commander Wack. Other recurring characters included the Mean Farmer and Lance Stallion, Radio Detective, some notable DJs include Chuck Yates, Joe Blood, Rick Setchell, and Tim Bourke. Westwood One, owned and operated by Cumulus Media, is an American mass media company headquartered in New York, New York, specializing in radio syndication and audio content. As the radio network and national brand of Cumulus, Westwood One distributes hundreds of programs to radio stations, the company was, at various times, managed by CBS Radio, the radio arm of CBS Corporation and Viacom. It was later purchased by the equity firm The Gores Group. In September 2013, Dial Global rebranded under the name Westwood One and announced an agreement with Cumulus Media. Westwood One now includes the network of Westwood One and Cumulus Media Networks. The company takes its name from a network also named Westwood One. Dial Global was founded as X Radio Networks, a division of Excelsior Radio Networks and it merged with Dial Communications and Global Media in 2006, from which it derived the Dial Global name. Dial Global initially specialized in syndicated weekend music programs of various types, in 2007 it acquired the former Transtar Radio Networks from the original Westwood One. Triton Media Group, a subsidiary of Oaktree Capital Management, purchased Excelsior in early 2008, triton used the Dial Global name for all of its programming and later bought the remainder of Westwood One in 2011, folding it into its Dial Global subsidiary. Dial Global began exhibiting signs of distress in late 2012. It simultaneously announced that it had filed for delisting from NASDAQ, at the time of the announcement, Dial Global stock was trading at $2.00 a share, by mid-January 2013, DGs stock was trading at.30 a share. In a SEC 8-K filing dated January 15,2013, DG announced that it had extended a loan agreement with certain lenders. On August 29,2013, it was announced by The Wall Street Journal that Cumulus Broadcasting will be purchasing Dial Global. Cumulus will be paying $260 million in cash for this programming syndication service, to fund that sale, Cumulus will make a pair of station deals with Townsquare Media, Oaktree Capital Managements radio station ownership division. On September 4,2013, Dial Global announced that - as of that day - the company was renaming itself Westwood One. Both transactions on the Cumulus-Townsquare deal were closed on November 14,2013, the companys numerous acquisitions prompted rival Talk Radio Network to file an antitrust lawsuit against what was then Dial Global in August 2012. Cumulus settled the lawsuit with TRN on amicable terms in March 2014, which was followed by TRN filing another lawsuit over the issue in April 2016

A talk show or chat show is a television programming or radio programming genre in which one person discusses various topics put forth by a talk show host. Usually, guests consist of a group of people who are learned or who have experience in relation to whatever issue is being discussed on the show for that episode. Other times, a single guest discusses their work or area of expertise with a host or co-hosts, a call-in show takes live phone calls from callers listening at home, in their cars, etc. Sometimes, guests are already seated but are introduced and enter from backstage. There have been many notable talk show hosts, in many cases, there are several major formats of talk shows. Generally, each subgenre predominates during a specific programming block during the broadcast day, Breakfast chat or early morning shows that generally alternate between news summaries, political coverage, feature stories, celebrity interviews, and musical performances. Late morning chat shows that two or more hosts or a celebrity panel, and focus on entertainment and lifestyle features. Daytime talk shows, generally featuring a host, a guest or a panel of guests, and these shows may feature celebrities, political commentators, or ordinary people who present unusual or controversial topics. The hosts are often comedians who open the shows with comedy monologues, Sunday talk or political discussion shows are a staple of network programming in North America. These shows feature elected political figures and candidates for office, commentators, syndicated daytime shows may appear overnight in some markets, and some afternoon programs have similar structures to late night talk shows. These formats may vary across different countries or markets, Late night talk shows are especially significant in the United States. Breakfast television is a staple of British television, the daytime talk format has become popular in Latin America as well as the United States. Talk-radio host Howard Stern also hosted a show that was syndicated nationally in the USA. The tabloid talk show genre, pioneered by Phil Donahue but popularized by Oprah Winfrey was extremely popular during the last two decades of the 20th century, politics are hardly the only subject of American talk shows, however. Sports talk shows are very popular ranging from high-budget shows like The Best Damn Sports Show Period to Max Kellermans original public-access television cable TV show Max on Boxing. Kansas /ˈkænzəs/ is a U. S. state located in the Midwestern United States. Nevada is a state in the Western, Mountain West, and Southwestern regions of the United States of America. Nevada is the 7th most extensive, the 34th most populous, nearly three-quarters of Nevadas people live in Clark County, which contains the Las Vegas–Paradise metropolitan area where three of the states four largest incorporated cities are located. Nevada is officially known as the Silver State because of the importance of silver to its history and economy. It is also known as the Battle Born State, because it achieved statehood during the Civil War, as the Sage-brush State, for the plant of the same name. Nevada borders Oregon to the northwest, Idaho to the northeast, California to the west, Arizona to the southeast, Nevada is largely desert and semi-arid, much of it located within the Great Basin. The area formed part of the Viceroyalty of New Spain, the United States annexed the area in 1848 after its victory in the Mexican–American War, and it was incorporated as part of Utah Territory in 1850. The discovery of silver at the Comstock Lode in 1859 led to a boom that became an impetus to the creation of Nevada Territory out of western Utah Territory in 1861. Nevada became the 36th state on October 31,1864, as the second of two added to the Union during the Civil War. Nevada has a reputation for its libertarian laws, in 1940, with a population of just over 110,000 people, Nevada was by far the least-populated state, with less than half the population of the next least-populated state. Harrisburg is the capital city of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the United States, and the county seat of Dauphin County. With a population of 49,673, it is the tenth-largest city in the Commonwealth and it lies on the east bank of the Susquehanna River,107 miles west of Philadelphia. The Harrisburg-York-Lebanon, PA Combined Statistical Area is made up of six counties in south central Pennsylvania, Harrisburg played a notable role in American history during the Westward Migration, the American Civil War, and the Industrial Revolution. The U. S. Navy ship USS Harrisburg, which served from 1918 to 1919 at the end of World War I, was named in honor of the city. The Pennsylvania Farm Show, the largest free indoor agriculture exposition in the United States, was first held in Harrisburg in 1917 and has held there every early-to-mid January since then. Harrisburg is also known for the Three Mile Island accident, which occurred on March 28,1979 near Middletown, in 2010 Forbes rated Harrisburg as the second best place in the U. S. to raise a family. Despite the citys recent financial troubles, in 2010 The Daily Beast website ranked 20 metropolitan areas across the country as being recession-proof, the financial stability of the region is in part due to the high concentration of state and federal government agencies. The finances of the city however, were poorly managed. Harrisburgs site along the Susquehanna River is thought to have been inhabited by Native Americans as early as 3000 BC, in 1719, John Harris, Sr. an English trader, settled here and 14 years later secured grants of 800 acres in this vicinity. In 1785, John Harris, Jr. made plans to lay out a town on his fathers land, in the spring of 1785, the town was formally surveyed by William Maclay, who was a son-in-law of John Harris, Sr. In 1791, Harrisburg became incorporated, and in October 1812 it was named the Pennsylvania state capital, the assembling here of the highly sectional Harrisburg Convention in 1827 led to the passage of the high protective-tariff bill of 1828. In 1839, Harrison and Tyler were nominated for President of the United States at the first national convention of the Whig Party of the United States, which was held in Harrisburg. Before Harrisburg gained its first industries, it was a scenic, pastoral town, typical of most of the day, compact, in 1822, the impressive brick capitol was completed for $200,000. It was Harrisburg’s strategic location which gave it an advantage over other towns. It was settled as a trading post in 1719 at an important to Westward expansion. The importance of the location was that it was at a pass in a mountain ridge, the Susquehanna River flowed generally west to east at this location, providing a route for boat traffic from the east. The head of navigation was a distance northwest of the town. Persons arriving from the east by boat had to exit at Harrisburg, Harrisburg assumed importance as a provisioning stop at this point where westward bound pioneers transitioned from river travel to overland travel

Demography is the statistical study of populations, especially human beings. As a very general science, it can analyse any kind of dynamic living population, Demography encompasses the study of the size, structure, and distribution of these populations, and spatial or temporal changes in them in response to birth, migration, ageing, and death. Based on the research of the earth, earths population up to the year 2050 and 2100 can be estimated by demographers. Demographics are quantifiable characteristics of a given population, demographic analysis can cover whole societies or groups defined by criteria such as education, nationality, religion, and ethnicity. Educational institutions usually treat demography as a field of sociology, though there are a number of independent demography departments, demographic thoughts can be traced back to antiquity, and were present in many civilizations and cultures, like Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, India and China. In ancient Greece, this can be found in the writings of Herodotus, Thucidides, Hippocrates, Epicurus, Protagoras, Polus, Plato and Aristotle. In Rome, writers and philosophers like Cicero, Seneca, Pliny the elder, Marcus Aurelius, Epictetus, Cato, in the Middle ages, Christian thinkers devoted much time in refuting the Classical ideas on demography. Important contributors to the field were William of Conches, Bartholomew of Lucca, William of Auvergne, William of Pagula, and Ibn Khaldun. One of the earliest demographic studies in the period was Natural and Political Observations Made upon the Bills of Mortality by John Graunt. Among the studys findings were that one third of the children in London died before their sixteenth birthday, mathematicians, such as Edmond Halley, developed the life table as the basis for life insurance mathematics. Richard Price was credited with the first textbook on life contingencies published in 1771, followed later by Augustus de Morgan, at the end of the 18th century, Thomas Robert Malthus concluded that, if unchecked, populations would be subject to exponential growth. In developed countries with good registration systems, registry statistics are the best method for estimating the number of births and deaths, a census is the other common direct method of collecting demographic data. A census is conducted by a national government and attempts to enumerate every person in a country. It would adopt its current format on January 24,1979, on July 30,2014, it was announced that The E. W. Scripps Company would acquire Journal Communications in an all-stock transaction. The combined firm will retain their broadcast properties and spin off their print assets as Journal Media Group. The city began as a trading post on the Chisholm Trail in the 1860s and it subsequently became a key destination for cattle drives traveling north from Texas to access railroads, earning it the nickname Cowtown. In the 1920s and 1930s, businessmen and aeronautical engineers established a number of aircraft manufacturing companies in Wichita including Beechcraft, Cessna. The city transformed into a hub of U. S. aircraft production, in 1937, the city of Wichita established their official flag. As an industrial hub and the largest city in the state, Wichita is a center of culture, media. It hosts several museums, theatres, parks, and entertainment venues. Several universities are located in the city including Wichita State University, the citys daily newspaper, The Wichita Eagle, has the highest circulation of any newspaper in Kansas, and the Wichita broadcast television market includes the western two-thirds of the state. Wichita is also home to the Century II Performing Arts & Convention Center and Kansass largest airport, archaeological evidence indicates human habitation near the confluence of the Arkansas and Little Arkansas Rivers, the site of present-day Wichita, as early as 3000 B. C. In 1541, a Spanish expedition led by explorer Francisco Vázquez de Coronado found the area populated by the Quivira, or Wichita, conflict with the Osage in the 1750s drove the Wichita further south. Prior to American settlement of the region, the site was located in the territory of the Kiowa, the Wichita returned in 1864 due to the American Civil War and established a settlement on the banks of the Little Arkansas. During this period, trader Jesse Chisholm established a trading post at the site, after the war, the Wichita permanently relocated south to Indian Territory. In 1868, trader James R. Mead established another trading post at the site, and surveyor Darius Munger built a house for use as a hotel, community center, Business opportunities attracted area hunters and traders, and a new settlement began to form. That summer, Mead and others organized the Wichita Town Company, in 1870, Munger and German immigrant William Dutch Bill Greiffenstein filed plats laying out the citys first streets. Columbus is a city in and the county seat of Platte County, in the state of Nebraska in the Midwestern United States. The population was 22,111 at the 2010 census, in the 18th century, the area around the confluence of the Platte and the Loup Rivers was used by a variety of Native American tribes, including Pawnee, Otoe, Ponca, and Omaha. In 1720, Pawnee and Otoe allied with the French massacred the Spanish force led by Pedro de Villasur just south of the present site of Columbus. In the 19th century, the Great Platte River Road—the valley of the Platte, for travellers following the north bank of the Platte, the Loup River, with its soft banks and quicksands, represented a major obstacle. The site of Columbus was settled by the Columbus Town Company on May 28,1856, the group took its name from Columbus, Ohio, where most of the settlers had originally lived. The townsite was selected for its location on the route of the transcontinental railroad. Just west of the Columbus site, the Elk Horn and Loup Fork Bridge and Ferry Company, Mitchell, had laid out the townsite of Pawnee. In 1855, Mitchell had obtained from the First Nebraska Territorial Legislature the right to operate a ferry across the Loup River, the two companies consolidated in November 1856. At the time of its initial settling, the land Columbus occupied still belonged to the Pawnee, however, in 1857, the Pawnee signed a treaty whereunder they gave up the bulk of their Nebraska lands, save for a reservation on what is now Nance County, Nebraska. In 1858, the Platte County Commissioners passed an act of incorporation making Columbus a town and it became the county seat shortly thereafter. Growth of the town was slow until 1863, in that year, construction began in Omaha on the transcontinental railroad. The Homestead Act, passed the year, attracted a host of settlers to the Plains. The ferry across the Loup was replaced by a pontoon bridge, used in the summer. The railroad reached Columbus in June 1866, when the population was about 75. The energetic and eccentric promoter George Francis Train envisioned building a magnificent highway of cities from coast to coast along the Union Pacific route, in 1865, he bought several hundred lots in the city. In the following year, seeing the nearby townsite of Cleveland as a threat to his plans for Columbus, he bought the building on the site, a hotel. He renamed the building the Credit Foncier Hotel, after his company, Credit Foncier of America, in it. Columbus grew and prospered during the 1870s, as a result of both expanding agriculture in Platte County and traffic on the railroad, during the decade, the population of the county grew threefold, and Columbus became the trade center for an eight-county area

Lincoln is the capital of the U. S. state of Nebraska and the county seat of Lancaster County. The city covers 92.81 square miles with a population of 277,348 in 2015 and it is the second-most populous city in Nebraska and the 72nd-largest in the United States. The statistical area is home to 345,478 people, making it the 105th-largest combined statistical area in the United States, the city was founded in 1856 as the village of Lancaster on the wild salt marshes of what was to become Lancaster County. In 1867, the village of Lancaster became Nebraskas state capital and was renamed Lincoln, bertram G. The region makes up a part of what is known as the greater Midwest Silicon Prairie, designated as a refugee-friendly city by the U. S. The Pawnee, which included four tribes, lived in villages along the Platte River, an occasional buffalo could still be seen in the plat of Lincoln in the 1860s. Lincoln was founded in 1856 as the village of Lancaster and became the county seat of the newly created Lancaster County in 1859, the village was sited on the east bank of Salt Creek. The first settlers were attracted to the due to the abundance of salt. Once J. Sterling Morton developed his salt mines in Kansas, Captain W. T. Donovan, a former steamer captain, and his family settled on Salt Creek in 1856. In the fall of 1859, the settlers met to form a county. A caucus was formed and the committee, which included Captain Donovan, after the passage of the 1862 Homestead Act, homesteaders began to inhabit the area. Laughlin /ˈlɔːf. lɪn/ is an unincorporated town and census-designated place in Clark County, Nevada, United States, and a port located on the Colorado River. Laughlin is 90 miles south of Las Vegas, located in the far tip of Nevada. It is best known for its gaming, entertainment, and water recreation, as of the 2010 census, the population was 7,323. The nearby communities of Bullhead City, Arizona, Needles, California, Fort Mohave, Arizona and its name comes from Don Laughlin, an Owatonna, Minnesota, native who purchased the southern tip of Nevada in 1964. At the time, Don Laughlin operated the 101 Club in Las Vegas and he opened what would become the Riverside Resort, and later wanted to call the community Riverside or Casino, but the post office opted for Laughlin instead. Laughlin is the third most visited casino and resort destination in the state after Las Vegas and Reno, the 2.1 million visitors recorded last year by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority is less than half the 1997 peak. Through July, the count has dropped another 2.2 percent compared to 2012, Laughlin is advertised as a family-friendly destination. Being located on the river, outdoor and family activities are emphasized, many of the casinos that line the Colorado River are linked by an unofficial pedestrian thoroughfare known as the Laughlin Riverwalk. The southernmost tip of Nevada, along the Colorado River, where Nevada, California, the townsite of Laughlin was established in the 1940s as South Pointe because of the proximity to the southern tip of the state of Nevada. The early town consisted of a motel and bar that catered to gold and silver miners, construction workers building Davis Dam, in the 1950s, construction workers left, and the town all but disappeared. In 1964, a man by the name of Don Laughlin, owner of the 101 Club in Las Vegas, flew over the site and saw its tourism potential. He offered to buy the land, and within a few years, in 1966, the Riverside Resort built the first 14-floor high-rise, in 1972,48 rooms were added, followed by several additions. A second casino, the Bobcat Club, opened in 1967, in 1968, a third casino, the Monte Carlo, opened its doors. Across the river, Bullhead City, Arizona, flourished in the glow of the casino light, shuttle boats transported customers from the Arizona side of the river to Laughlins resorts and back. The 1980s saw the construction of more hotels and casinos. The Colorado Hotel, The Regency, Sams Town Gold River, other investors saw the growth as an opportunity to get in on the action. A second boom resulted in the construction of The Colorado Belle, Harrahs Del Rio, in 1987, Don Laughlin funded and built the Laughlin Bridge at a cost of $3.5 million. Mechanicsburg is a borough in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, United States,8 miles west of Harrisburg. Mechanicsburg was settled in 1806 and incorporated as a borough on April 12,1828 and it was named in recognition of the number of mechanics who settled the area. Specifically, Company C of the 16th Infantry regiment of Volunteers which trained at Camp Curtin was mustered there and it was involved in several early battles including the Battle of Williamsport in Maryland. During the Gettysburg Campaign Mechanicsburg was occupied by Confederate forces for two days, Mechanicsburg is home of Jubilee Day, the largest and longest-running one-day street fair on the East Coast. Founded in 1855 as the first Normal School in Pennsylvania, Millersville is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Millersville University was established in 1855 as the Lancaster County Normal School and it subsequently changed its name to the Millersville State Normal School in 1859 and Millersville later became a state teachers college in 1927. It was renamed Millersville State College in 1959 and officially became Millersville University of Pennsylvania in 1983, in November 1852, the Lancaster County Educational Association met in Strasburg resolving to form an institute for teacher training. The first institute, which led to the Lancaster County Normal School, while the Association was working to organize, Lewis M. Hobbs, a popular teacher of the Manor district, lobbied heavily in Manor township for a more permanent training facility for teachers. Jacob Shenk, a farmer, donated a tract of five acres with Hobbs collecting investments from local residents. On April 17,1855, Lancaster County Normal School opened with James P. Wickersham as Principal, President of the school was Thomas H. Burrowes and Vice President was Lewis M. Hobbs. November 5,1855 marked the start of the first full session, with a new expansion off of the original Academy building that made 96 rooms available for nearly 200 students and their teachers. Completed in 1894, the Biemesderfer Executive Center, also known as the Old Library, is the centerpiece of Millersville Universitys campus, the Millersville University Library is housed in Ganser Hall. In September 2011, the University closed Ganser Hall for two years in order to complete renovations, on August 26,2013, the Ganser Library reopened as the McNairy Library and Learning Forum at Ganser Hall. Once the new halls are complete, the University will maintain Bard, other housing options include Shenks Hall, Reighard Hall, Brookwood Court and Healthy Living apartments. 2,232 students live in eight residence halls on campus. 2M for the creation of the Universitys new Welcome Center. During the renovation, Library Services was temporarily relocated to Gerhart Hall, a network of conveyor belts wound around the 9-story stairwell at the beginning of the project so the general collection could be boxed and shipped for temporary storage. Renovation of the not only brings the academic heart of campus up to ADA Compliance, but also includes redesigned smart classrooms, natural lighting. The Library also hosts several student-worker positions each semester, built as an expansion of Lyte Auditorium in Alumni Hall, the new Charles R. and Anita B Winter Visual and Performing Arts Center has a new entrance off Cottage Avenue in Millersville. The grand opening occurred on Friday, October 12,2012 after two years of renovations to the structure, Lyte Auditorium. Rugby is a city in, and the county seat of, Pierce County, North Dakota, United States. The population was 2,876 at the 2010 census, making it the seventeenth largest city in North Dakota. Rugby is often billed as the center of North America. Rugby was founded in 1886 at a junction on the Great Northern Railway, the railroad promoters initially platted the town as Rugby Junction, getting the name Rugby from the town of Rugby in Warwickshire, England. It was one of sites along the Great Northerns transcontinental route between Devils Lake and Minot that were named after places in England. When the community became a city, the Junction was dropped from the name, North Dakotas first permanent settlers arrived in 1812 from the Earl of Selkirk’s colony in neighboring Manitoba, Canada. As farmers, they were more advanced than many of their contemporaries in the rest of the United States, having adopted sophisticated farming methods, many of these implements, including an early McCormick Deering threshing machine, have found their way to the restored Pioneer Village in Rugby. In 1931, the town of Rugby erected a 15 feet tall rock obelisk marking the Geographical Center of North America and this was moved to a slightly different location in or after 1971. According to a listing by the U. S. Geological Survey, Rugby is actually approximately 15 miles from the center of North America. Rugby is located at 48°22′2″N 99°59′46″W, according to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.94 square miles, all of it land. Rugby claims to be the center of North America and a monument stands in the city to signify this. The monument features flags of the United States, Canada, amtrak, the national passenger rail system, serves a station in Rugby via its Empire Builder, a once-daily train in each direction between Portland/Seattle and Chicago. U. S. Route 2 and North Dakota Highway 3 serve the Rugby area, as of the census of 2010, there were 2,876 people,1,239 households, and 697 families residing in the city. Minnesota State University Moorhead is a four-year, public university located in Moorhead, Minnesota. The school has an enrollment of 6,624 students and 266 full-time faculty members, MSUM is a part of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system. MSUM is located on the border of Minnesota on the Red River of the North in Moorhead, across the river lies Fargo. The State Senator who proposed the bill, State Senator Solomon Comstock, donated 6 acres and appropriated the funds that would go to form Moorhead Normal School, which opened in 1888. With the entrance of World War II, the college entered into a contract with the Army Air Corps to train aviation students, after World War II, enrollment swelled to more than 700 students and the school diversified and broadened into both a liberal arts and professional curriculum. The school began offering a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1946, as a result of the broadened offerings, by 1957 the name was changed to Moorhead State College. In 1969, the school joined a cooperative cross-registration exchange with neighboring Concordia College and North Dakota State University, the school continued to increase its number of programs and by 1975, the State Legislature that year granted the school university status under the name Moorhead State University. In 1995, Moorhead State became part of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system, on July 1,2000, the school officially became Minnesota State University Moorhead. S and it had approximately 82,060 students enrolled in 2014, including 66,309 undergraduate and 15,751 graduate students. ASUs charter, approved by the board of regents in 2014, is based on the New American University model created by ASU President Crow, ASU is classified as a research university with very high research activity by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. The Center for Measuring University Performance ranks ASU 31st among top U. S. public research universities, ASU was classified as a Research I institute in 1994, making it one of the nations newest major research universities. Students compete in 25 varsity sports, the Arizona State Sun Devils are members of the Pac-12 Conference and have won 23 NCAA championships. Under the 30-year tenure of president Arthur John Matthews the school was given all-college student status, the first dormitories built in the state were constructed under his supervision. Of the 18 buildings constructed while Matthews was president, six are still in use, Matthews envisioned an evergreen campus, with many shrubs brought to the campus, and implemented the planting of Palm Walk, now a landmark of the Tempe campus. His legacy is being continued to this day with the campus having been declared a nationally recognized arboretum. During the Great Depression, Ralph W. Swetman was hired as president for a three-year term, although enrollment increased by almost 100 percent during his tenure due to the depression, many faculty were terminated and faculty salaries were cut. In 1933, Grady Gammage, then president of Arizona State Teachers College at Flagstaff, became president of ASU, like his predecessor, Gammage oversaw construction of a number of buildings on the Tempe campus. He also oversaw the development of the graduate programs. Fargo is the most populous city in the state of North Dakota, accounting for over 15% of the state population. Fargo is also the county seat of Cass County, according to the 2015 United States Census estimates, its population was 118,523. In 2014, Forbes magazine ranked Fargo as the fourth fastest-growing small city in the United States. Founded in 1871 and located on the Red River of the North floodplain, Fargo is a cultural, retail, health care, educational, in addition, Fargo is home to North Dakota State University. Historically part of Sioux territory, the area that is present-day Fargo was a stopping point for steamboats traversing the Red River during the 1870s and 1880s. The city was originally named Centralia, but was later renamed Fargo after Northern Pacific Railway director, the area started to flourish after the arrival of the Northern Pacific Railroad and the city became known as the Gateway to the West. During the 1880s, Fargo became the capital of the Midwest because of lenient divorce laws. A major fire struck the city on June 7,1893, but the city was immediately rebuilt with new buildings made of brick, new streets, and a water system. More than 246 new buildings were built within 1 year, there were several rumors concerning the cause of the fire. The North Dakota Agricultural College was founded in 1890 as North Dakotas land-grant university, in 1960, NDAC became known as North Dakota State University. Early in the century, the industry flourished, and in 1905. Fargo-Moorhead boomed after World War II and the city grew rapidly despite being hit by a violent tornado in 1957, the tornado destroyed a large portion of the north end of the city. Ted Fujita, famous for his Fujita tornado scale, analyzed pictures of the Fargo tornado and these were the first major scientific descriptive terms associated with tornadoes. The coming of two interstates revolutionized travel in the region and pushed growth of Fargo to the south and west of the city limits. In 1972, the West Acres Shopping Center, currently the largest shopping mall in North Dakota, was constructed near the intersection of the two Interstates and this mall would become the catalyst for retail growth in the area. Fargo has continued to expand rapidly but steadily, since the mid-1980s, the bulk of new residential growth has occurred in the south and southwest areas of the city due to geographic constraints on the north side. The citys major retail districts on the southwest side have likewise seen rapid development, downtown Fargo has been gentrified due in part to investments by the city and private developers in the Renaissance Zone. Phoenix is the capital and most populous city of the U. S. state of Arizona. Phoenix is the anchor of the Phoenix metropolitan area, also known as the Valley of the Sun, the metropolitan area is the 12th largest by population in the United States, with approximately 4.3 million people as of 2010. Settled in 1867 as a community near the confluence of the Salt and Gila Rivers. Located in the reaches of the Sonoran Desert, Phoenix has a subtropical desert climate. Despite this, its canal system led to a farming community, many of the original crops remaining important parts of the Phoenix economy for decades, such as alfalfa, cotton, citrus. The city averaged a four percent annual growth rate over a 40-year period from the mid-1960s to the mid-2000s. This growth rate slowed during the Great Recession of 2007–09, and has rebounded slowly, Phoenix is the cultural center of the Valley of the Sun, as well as the entire state. For more than 2,000 years, the Hohokam people occupied the land that would become Phoenix, the Hohokam created roughly 135 miles of irrigation canals, making the desert land arable. Paths of these canals would later used for the modern Arizona Canal, Central Arizona Project Canal. The Hohokam also carried out trade with the nearby Anasazi, Mogollon and Sinagua. It is believed that between 1300 and 1450, periods of drought and severe floods led to the Hohokam civilizations abandonment of the area. After the departure of the Hohokam, groups of Akimel Oodham, Tohono Oodham and Maricopa tribes began to use the area, as well as segments of the Yavapai and Apache. The Oodham were offshoots of the Sobaipuri tribe, who in turn were thought to be the descendants of the formerly urbanized Hohokam and their crops included corn, beans, and squash for food, while cotton and tobacco were also cultivated. Mostly a peaceful group, they did together with the Maricopa for their mutual protection against incursions by both the Yuma and Apache tribes. The Tohono Oodham lived in the region as well, but their concentration was to the south. Living in small settlements, the Oodham were seasonal farmers who took advantage of the rains and they also hunted local game such as deer, rabbit, and javalina for meat. When the Mexican–American War ended in 1848, Mexico ceded its northern zone to the United States, the Phoenix area became part of the New Mexico Territory. In 1863 the mining town of Wickenburg was the first to be established in what is now Maricopa County, at the time Maricopa County had not yet been incorporated, the land was within Yavapai County, which included the major town of Prescott to the north of Wickenburg

Spokane is a city in the state of Washington, in the northwestern United States. It is the seat of Spokane County, and the economic and cultural center of the Spokane Metropolitan Area, the Greater Spokane Area, the city, along with the whole Inland Northwest, is served by Spokane International Airport,5 miles west of downtown Spokane. According to the 2010 Census, Spokane had a population of 208,916, making it the second largest city in Washington and the 102nd largest city in the United States. The first humans to live in the area, the Spokane people, known as the birthplace of Fathers Day, Spokane is officially nicknamed the Lilac City. David Thompson explored the area with the expansion and establishment of the North West Companys Spokane House in 1810. This trading post was the first long-term European settlement in Washington, completion of the Northern Pacific Railway in 1881 brought settlers to the Spokane area, and that same year it was officially incorporated as a city with the name of Spokan Falls. In the late 19th century, gold and silver were discovered in the Inland Northwest, the local economy depended on mining, timber, and agriculture until the 1980s. Spokane hosted the first environmentally themed Worlds Fair at Expo 74, many of the older Romanesque Revival-style buildings in the downtown area were designed by architect Kirtland Kelsey Cutter after the Great Fire of 1889. The city also features Riverfront and Manito parks, the Smithsonian-affiliated Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture, the Davenport Hotel, and the Fox and Bing Crosby theaters. The Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes serves as the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Spokane, the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist represents the Anglican community. Gonzaga University was established in 1887 by the Jesuits, and the private Presbyterian Whitworth University opened three years later in north Spokane, in sports, the Gonzaga Bulldogs collegiate basketball team competes at the Division I level. Professional and semi-professional sports teams include the Spokane Indians in Minor League Baseball, Spokane Empire in arena football, as of 2010, Spokanes only major daily newspaper, The Spokesman-Review, has a daily circulation of over 76,000. The first humans to live in the Spokane area arrived between 13,000 and 8,000 years ago and were hunter-gatherer societies that lived off plentiful game. The Spokane tribe, after which the city is named, are believed to be either their direct descendants, when asked by early white explorers, the Spokanes said their ancestors came from up North. Early in the 19th century, the Northwest Fur Company sent two white fur trappers west of the Rocky Mountains to search for fur. These were the first white men met by the Spokanes, who believed they were sacred, the explorer-geographer David Thompson, working as head of the North West Companys Columbia Department, became the first European to explore the Inland Empire. Crossing what is now the Canada–US border from British Columbia, Thompson wanted to expand the North West Company further south in search of furs, after establishing the Kullyspell House and Saleesh House trading posts in what are now Idaho and Montana, Thompson then attempted to expand further west. He sent out two trappers, Jacques Raphael Finlay and Finan McDonald, to construct a fur trading post on the Spokane River in Washington and trade with the local Indians

Portland is a port and the largest city in the U. S. state of Oregon and the seat of Multnomah County. It is in the Willamette Valley region of the Pacific Northwest, at the confluence of the Willamette, the city covers 145 square miles and had an estimated population of 632,309 in 2015, making it the 26th most populous city in the United States. Approximately 2,389,228 people live in the Portland metropolitan statistical area and its Combined Statistical Area ranks 17th with a population of 3,022,178. Roughly 60% of Oregons population resides within the Portland metropolitan area, named after Portland, Maine, the Oregon settlement began to be populated in the 1830s near the end of the Oregon Trail. Its water access provided convenient transportation of goods, and the industry was a major force in the citys early economy. At the turn of the 20th century, the city had a reputation as one of the most dangerous cities in the world. After the citys economy experienced a boom during World War II. Beginning in the 1960s, Portland became noted for its liberal political values, and the city has earned a reputation as a bastion of counterculture. According to a 2009 Pew Research Center study, Portland ranks as the eighth most popular American city, the city operates with a commission-based government guided by a mayor and four commissioners as well as Metro, the only directly elected metropolitan planning organization in the United States. The city government is notable for its planning and investment in public transportation. Its climate is marked by warm, dry summers and cool and this climate is ideal for growing roses, and Portland has been called the City of Roses for over a century. During the prehistoric period, the land that would become Portland was flooded after the collapse of glacial dams from Lake Missoula and these massive floods occurred during the last ice age and filled the Willamette Valley with 300 to 400 feet of water. The Chinook people occupying the land which would become Portland were first documented by Meriwether Lewis, before its European settlement, the Portland Basin of the lower Columbia River and Willamette River valleys had been one of the most densely populated regions on the Pacific Coast. Large numbers of settlers began arriving in the Willamette Valley in the 1830s via the Oregon Trail. In the early 1840s a new settlement began emerging ten miles from the mouth of the Willamette River and this community was initially referred to as Stumptown and The Clearing because of the many trees cut down to allow for its growth. In 1843 William Overton saw potential in the new settlement but lacked the funds to file a land claim. For 25 cents Overton agreed to half of the 640-acre site with Asa Lovejoy of Boston

Louisville is the largest city in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the 30th-most populous city in the United States. It is one of two cities in Kentucky designated as first-class, the other being the states second-largest city of Lexington, Louisville is the historical seat and, since 2003, the nominal seat of Jefferson County. Louisville was founded in 1778 by George Rogers Clark and is named after King Louis XVI of France, making Louisville one of the oldest cities west of the Appalachian Mountains. Sited beside the Falls of the Ohio, the major obstruction to river traffic between the upper Ohio River and the Gulf of Mexico, the settlement first grew as a portage site. It was the city of the Louisville and Nashville Railroad. Its main airport is also the site of United Parcel Services worldwide air hub, since 2003, Louisvilles borders have been the same as those of Jefferson County because of a city-county merger. The official name of this consolidated city-county government is the Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government, the citys total consolidated population as of the 2014 census estimate was 760,026. However, the total of 612,780 excludes other incorporated places and semiautonomous towns within the county and is the population listed in most sources. As of 2014, the MSA had a population of 1,269,702, the history of Louisville spans hundreds of years, and has been influenced by the areas geography and location. The rapids at the Falls of the Ohio created a barrier to river travel, the first European settlement in the vicinity of modern-day Louisville was on Corn Island in 1778 by Col. George Rogers Clark, credited as the founder of Louisville. Several landmarks in the community are named after him, two years later, in 1780, the Virginia General Assembly approved the town charter of Louisville. The city was named in honor of King Louis XVI of France, early residents lived in forts to protect themselves from Indian raids, but moved out by the late 1780s. In 1803, explorers Meriwether Lewis and William Clark organized their expedition across America in the town of Clarksville, Indiana at the present-day Falls of the Ohio opposite Louisville, Kentucky. The citys early growth was influenced by the fact river boats had to be unloaded and moved downriver before reaching the falls. By 1828, the population had swelled to 7,000, the city grew rapidly in its formative years. Louisville was a shipping port and slaves worked in a variety of associated trades. The city was often a point of escape for slaves to the north, during the Civil War, Louisville was a major stronghold of Union forces, which kept Kentucky firmly in the Union. It was the center of planning, supplies, recruiting, and transportation for numerous campaigns, by the end of the war, Louisville had not been attacked, although skirmishes and battles, including the battles of Perryville and Corydon, took place nearby

West Memphis, Arkansas

West Memphis is the largest city in Crittenden County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 26,245 at the 2010 census, ranking it as the states 18th largest city and it is part of the Memphis metropolitan area, and is located directly across the Mississippi River from Memphis. Native Americans lived in the Mississippi River Valley for at least 10,000 years, the Indians of the Mississippian Period were the last native inhabitants of the West Memphis area. Mound City Road, located within the portion of the West Memphis city limits, has a marker indicating that the villages of Aquixo or Pacaha were in the area. Explorers from both Spain and France visited the area near West Memphis, among those explorers were Hernando de Soto and his men from Spain and Father Jacques Marquette and Louis Jolliet from France. By the time French hunters and explorers entered the region, the Mississippian towns, the original site of West Memphis came from Spanish land grants issued during the 1790s. Grants were given to Benjamin Fooy, John Henry Fooy, and Isaac Fooy in the Hopefield area, the Spanish found the land to be the most densely populated that they had seen since starting their journey on the Florida coast, two years earlier. The Spanish expedition departed Arkansas two years later, leaving behind numerous Old World diseases and it was 130 years before Europeans visited this region again. The original inhabitants, like the settlers, were drawn to this region because of its fertile river bottom soil, abundant game. He chose a location across the river from present-day Memphis, in 1797, the Spanish established Campo de la Esperanza which was a small fort along the Mississippi River. Crittenden County is bounded on the east by the Mississippi River and was established in 1825, named after Robert Crittenden, the first secretary of the Arkansas Territory, the county had a population of 1,272 in 1830. Hopefield became the terminal for the Memphis and Little Rock Railroad in 1857. However, the Civil War forced a halt to track construction just east of the St. Francis River in 1861, during the summer of 1862 Memphis fell into the hands of the Union forces. Most Confederate soldiers were ferried across the river to Hopefield, Arkansas, many of these soldiers were moved on to other battle fronts, but some remained to harass the Union forces and disrupt river traffic. This became such a problem that on February 19,1863, the town of Hopefield was rebuilt after the war but never regained the prominence it once held in Crittenden County. An early settlement that was established for operations between Memphis and Arkansas in the early 1880s was given the name West Memphis. In addition to its lost ferry operations, this area, in the fashion as its northern neighbor Hopefield. The entire area usually flooded in the spring until the St. Francis Levee District was established in 1893, however, private landowners along the Mississippi River built levees that were only three or four feet high

The University of Nebraska Omaha, often referred to as Omaha or UNO, is a public research university located in Omaha, Nebraska, United States. Founded in 1908 by faculty from the Omaha Presbyterian Theological Seminary as a private non-sectarian college, meant to provide a Christian-based education free from ecclesiastical control, the university served as a strong alternative to the citys many successful religiously affiliated institutions. Serving as Nebraskas premier metropolitan university, UNO continues to expand to meet the growing demands of the city of Omaha. Since the year 2000, the university has more than tripled its student housing and is building a 450 bed student dormitory. It has also recently constructed modern facilities for its engineering, information technology, UNO currently offers more than 200 programs of study across 6 different colleges and has over 60 classroom, student, athletic, and research facilities spread across 3 campuses. The university expects to enroll 20,000 students by the year 2020, the Omaha Mavericks compete in 15 NCAA Division I sports in both the NCHC and Summit League conferences. The ice hockey, basketball, and volleyball teams compete in the new Baxter Arena located on the universitys Center street campus, UNO recently enjoyed national attention when its mens hockey team reached the national semifinal of the NCAA tournament. The original Omaha University was founded in 1908 in the Kountze Place neighborhood of North Omaha, the first classes were located in the Redick Mansion, once at North 24th and Pratt Streets, from 1909 through 1917. There were 26 students in the first year, most of whom had graduated from Omaha Central High School, three of the Universitys first four presidents were ordained Presbyterian ministers. Two other buildings on the campus included Jacobs Hall, a gymnasium erected in 1910, and Joslyn Hall. Jacobs Hall was a gymnasium facing North 24th Street, built with $14,000 from the sale of donated by Lillian Maul. The land, the first donation to the university, was near the present West Dodge campus of the university and it was the first new building constructed on the university campus. Joslyn Hall was built with funds donated by a well-known resident, donating $25,000 toward the building, he stipulated the school match that with another $25,000 in a year. The building was located just north of Redick Hall and was finished in January 1917, Joslyn Hall had three stories and a basement, with a total of thirty classrooms that accommodated 750 students. The building included chemistry and physics laboratories, an auditorium and music department, Redick Hall was sold and moved in February 1917 to Minnesota, where it was adapted for use in a resort. In the early 1920s a proposed magnificent campus was slated for development between 21st and 25th Avenues, bounded by Kountze Park and the Carter Lake Park. In 1927, businessmen formed the North Omaha Activities Association in order to redevelop Saratoga Schools playing field into a field for the Universitys football team. With new bleachers built to accommodate a crowd of one thousand, the school also served as OUs science call from 1917 to 1926

Americas Most Wanted was an American television program that was produced by 20th Television. At the time of its cancellation by the Fox television network, it was the program in the networks history. The show started off as a program on February 7,1988. In 1990, the format was changed from 30 minutes to 60 minutes. The shows format was reverted back to 30 minutes in 1995, the following September, the shows host, John Walsh, announced that it would resume later that year on the cable network Lifetime. After a brief run on Lifetime, however, on March 28,2013 the show was canceled again and this was reportedly due to low ratings and the level of royalty payments to Fox which holds the trademark and copyright. It was succeeded by John Walsh Investigates, a special on Lifetime. The show featured actors portraying the crimes of dangerous fugitives, interspersed with on-camera interviews, there was a toll-free hotline number where viewers could give information at 1-800-CRIME-TV. On May 2,2008, the website announced its 1, 000th capture. Many of the cases have some connection outside the United States or have not taken place in the United States at all. The series first international capture was in Nova Scotia in 1989, with Walsh at the helm, Americas Most Wanted began to broaden its scope. In addition to the regular segments narrated by Walsh, the show began to make room for more segments and correspondents, the first two-hour quarterly special aired on Saturday, October 29,2011 on FOX. On July 13,2014, a successor premiered on CNN called The Hunt with John Walsh, the concept for Americas Most Wanted originally came from a German show, Aktenzeichen XY. Even earlier, however, CBS aired a three-month half-hour similar series hosted by Walter McGraw in the 1955-1956 season entitled Wanted, after the program’s pilot aired, a lengthy search was conducted for a host, and John Walsh was selected. Other potential candidates included former Marine Corps Commandant General P. X. Kelly, Walsh had gained publicity after his six-year-old son, Adam Walsh, was kidnapped and murdered in 1981. Walsh and others had successfully advocated Congress for the creation of the National Center for Missing, Americas Most Wanted debuted as a half-hour program on February 7,1988 on seven Fox-owned stations. Within four days of the first broadcast, FBI Ten Most Wanted Fugitive David James Roberts was captured as a direct result and he was a convicted killer who had recently escaped from prison by digging his way out with a small axe. Imus in the Morning is an American radio show hosted by Don Imus on Westwood One. Over the course of the history, it has previously been simulcast on various television networks. The show originated locally on WNBC radio in New York City in December 1971, in October 1988, the show moved to WFAN when that radio station took over WNBCs dial position following an ownership change. It was later syndicated to 60 other stations across the country by the original Westwood One, beginning September 3,1996, the 6 to 9 am portion was simulcast on the cable television network MSNBC. Imus in the Morning program returned to the drive on New York radio station WABC on December 3,2007. WABC is the station of ABC Radio Networks, which syndicates the show nationally. From 2007 to August 2009, the show was simulcast on television nationwide on RFD-TV, following a successful run as an on-air personality in Cleveland, Don Imus was hired by WNBC to host Imus in the Morning in late 1971. Imus is credited with introducing New York, and the larger Top 40 radio community and his initial run in New York ended in August 1977, when NBC management ordered a purge of WNBCs on-air staff in order to revive sagging ratings. Imus returned to Cleveland, but NBC brought him back to New York only two years later, on September 3,1979, Imus started off his first program back on WNBC with his old character/voice/bit, The Reverend Billy Sol Hargis. The show regularly parodied songs and voices, satirizing national and local events, after WNBC was sold to Emmis Communications in 1988, a frequency shift on New Yorks AM radio dial saw WFAN, Emmiss sports-talk station, move to WNBCs 660 AM dial position. WNBC signed off in October 1988, and WFAN decided to retain Imus, initially limited to the broadcast range of WFAN in the New York metropolitan area, the shows radio audience and influence expanded considerably once Westwood One began syndicating it in 1993. During the WNBC years, Imus in the Morning was conducted out of NBCs radio studios at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. When at the Imus Ranch, Don Imus would broadcast the show from Ribera, New Mexico, while the rest of the cast remained in New York and New Jersey. For the first 15 months of Imus simulcast on RFD, the show originated from a set created for RFD located in the Cablevision Rainbow studios in midtown Manhattans Penn Plaza. In April 2009, the moved to the multipurpose WABC radio studios. On June 15,2015, the show started broadcasting solely on the radio from the WABC radio studios, originally considered a shock jock, Imus turned his show more towards politics and news and gained public influence as a result. During the 1990s, Imus in the Morning became increasingly important as a useful, non-traditional platform for politicians to express their views and gain exposure. Former U. S. Sen. John Calvin Batchelor is an American author and host of The John Batchelor Show radio news magazine. Based at WABC radio in New York for five years from early 2001 to September,2006, on October 7,2007, Batchelor returned to radio on WABC, and later to other large market stations on a weekly basis. His mother and father both served in the United States Army during World War II, his father served in the Korean War. Batchelor is the eldest of five brothers and he is a 1970 graduate of Princeton University and a 1976 graduate of Union Theological Seminary. John Batchelor and his original co-host, writer Paul Alexander, broadcast Batchelor, for two years, in the show, Batchelor performed the role of Republican, Alexander took the role of Democrat. They focused on issues with special attention to Middle East-based terrorism. He described their approach, Our model is the BBC World Service, with music and live interviews, Alexander quipped, Were not NPR, where they do setups to things on tape. Well, we could be NPR on drugs, Alexander left the show in December 2003 to pursue work as a playwright and biographer. The John Batchelor Show was syndicated nationally in April 2003, historically, it carried nightly the Loftus Report featuring the intelligence commentator John Loftus on current, war-related, open-source intelligence. Aaron Klein, Jerusalem bureau chief for WorldNetDaily, was also a regular, O. Scott of the New York Times, Katrina vanden Heuvel and Stephen F. The program daily featured reports from journalists who filed with the worlds most respected press outlets, in 2012, Simon Constable of Dow Jones, Chris Riback, author and researcher, and Francis Rose of Federal News Radio in Washington, D. C. became primary fill-ins. Batchelors show featured guests, and shows were preceded by and interspersed with news clips. The show focussed on topics, including politics, the war on terror, nuclear proliferation. The Jerusalem Post has an archive of Batchelor and Alexander segments from 2002 and 2003 that deal with Israel. To report on breaking news, Batchelor and a small staff have travelled domestically to hotspots, on Monday, August 25,2006, Batchelor announced on air that his last show on ABC Radio Network would be on September 1, that Friday. WABCs manager, Phil Boyce, wrote in e-mails to listeners that ABC Radio Network simply had discontinued Batchelors syndication and his first radio appearance since his departure from ABC was as a substitute host for Matt Drudge on July 22,2007. The show was nearly identical in format to his ABC show, including contributions from Klein and Loftus and he returned to fill in for Drudge on September 2,2007. Kudlow graduated from University of Rochester in Rochester, New York with a degree in history in 1969, known as Kuddles to friends, he was a star on the tennis team and a member of the left-wing Students for a Democratic Society at Rochester. In 1971, Kudlow attended Princeton Universitys Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and he left before completing his masters degree. In 1970, while he was still a Democrat, Kudlow joined Joseph Duffeys New Politics senatorial campaign in Connecticut, duffey was a leading anti-war politician during the Vietnam war era. Kudlow, working with Yale University student Bill Clinton as well as other rising young Democratic students, was known as a brilliant district coordinator. He worked in a division of that bank that handled open market operations, during the first term of the Reagan administration, Kudlow was associate director for economics and planning in the Office of Management and Budget, a part of the Executive Office of the President. While he worked at the OMB, Kudlow was also a committee member of the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation. In April 2005, New York Governor George Pataki included Kudlow in a state tax commission. In February 2009, rumors surfaced that Kudlow was considering a run for US Senator from Connecticut in 2010 against Christopher Dodd, however, on March 24,2009, he announced on his program that he was not running. On January 29,2010, Kudlow said that he was considering entering the race, Kudlow never made any mention of the race again, allowing Gary Berntsen and Jay Townsend to pursue the seat instead. Kudlow could have run for the Senate from either Connecticut or New York in 2016, in October 2015, US Senator Richard Blumenthal, in an email to supporters, attacked Kudlow as a champion of big corporations and big money despite Kudlows not announcing a run. In early December 2015, Jack Fowler of National Review created a 527 organization that encouraged Kudlow to run, in December 2016, President-elect Donald Trump was rumored to be considering Kudlow for the position as chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers. Yet Kudlows positions advocating free trade, in contrast to Trumps more nationalist/isolationist views. In 1987 Kudlow was rehired by Bear Stearns as its chief economist and he was fired in 1994 after abuse of cocaine caused him to skip an important client presentation.
