Vị Xuyên is a rural district of Hà Giang province in the Northeast region of Vietnam. As of 2019 the district had a population of 110 465. The district covers an area of 1,452 km2. The district capital lies at Vị Xuyên.

Hà Giang is a province in the Northeast region of Vietnam. It is located in the far north of the country, and contains Vietnam's northernmost point. It shares a 270 km long border with Yunnan province of southern China, and thus is known as Vietnam's final frontier. It covers an area of 7,927.55 km2 (3,060.84 sq mi), comprising 1 city and 10 rural districts, with a population of over 850 thousand people as of 2019.
