Vinay Rai is an Indian actor who primarily appears in Tamil films apart from a few Telugu and Malayalam films. He is best known for his performance in the films Unnale Unnale (2007), Jayamkondaan (2008), Endrendrum Punnagai (2013) and Aranmanai (2014). He turned villain in Thupparivaalan (2017) and has played negative roles in several films including Doctor (2021), Etharkkum Thunindhavan (2022), Christopher (2023) and Hanu-Man (2024).

Etharkkum Thunindhavan, also known by the initialism ET, is a 2022 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film, written and directed by Pandiraj, and produced by Sun Pictures. The film stars Suriya, Vinay Rai and Priyanka Arul Mohan. D. Imman composed the film's music, R. Rathnavelu handled the cinematography and Ruben edited it. The film revolves around a lawyer who opposes a pornography racket that is run by a prominent minister's son.
