Viza za budućnost was the first post-independence Bosnian TV series. Production started on June 22, 2002, in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The first episode was aired on September 22, 2002. The final episode was broadcast on April 17, 2008.

Ljubiša Samardžić, nicknamed Smoki, was a Serbian actor and director, best known as Šurda in the Vruć vetar TV series, and Inspector Boško Simić in the comedy crime series Policajac sa Petlovog brda and film of the same name.
