Wang Xizhi was a Chinese politician, general, and calligrapher from the Jin dynasty known for his mastery of Chinese calligraphy. He is often regarded as the greatest calligrapher in Chinese history.

The Lantingji Xu, or Lanting Xu, is a piece of Chinese calligraphy work generally considered to be written by the well-known calligrapher Wang Xizhi from the Eastern Jin dynasty.
