Major Wellesley Aron, MBE, was an English born Jewish businessman, community leader, and soldier who served in World War II as a member of the Jewish Brigade. Pre-war he served as a community leader in the East End of London. Having been an active Boy Scout during his school years, he saw scouting as the solution to giving the young people a sense of purpose.
