"When Will You Return?" is a song originally recorded by Chinese singer Zhou Xuan in 1937, but also well known as a song by Teresa Teng (1978). It has also been variously translated as "When Will the Gentleman Come Back Again?" or "When Will You Come Back Again?" The lyrics were written by Huang Jiamo (黃嘉謨) set to a tune composed by Liu Xue'an.

Zhou Xuan (Chinese: 周璇; pinyin: Zhōu Xuán; Wade–Giles: Chou1 Hsüan2; born Su Pu (traditional Chinese: 蘇璞; simplified Chinese: 苏璞; pinyin: Sū pú; Wade–Giles: Su1 Pʻu2); August 1, 1920 – September 22, 1957), also romanized as Chow Hsuan, was an iconic Chinese singer and film actress. By the 1940s, she had become one of China's Seven Great Singing Stars. She was the best known of the seven, nicknamed the "Golden Voice", and had a concurrent movie career until 1954. She recorded more than 200 songs and appeared in over 40 films in her career.
