Jamie Lynn Spears is an American actress, singer and songwriter. The younger sister of recording artist Britney Spears, she is known for her role as Zoey Brooks on the Nickelodeon teen sitcom Zoey 101, on which she starred from 2005 to 2008. Spears became the subject of significant media attention and controversy in 2007, in 2013, Spears launched a career in country music. She released her single, How Could I Want More, along with her debut EP. Spears was born in McComb, Mississippi, to James and Lynne Spears and she has two siblings, Bryan and Britney Spears. She attended Parklane Academy, where she was a cheerleader and point guard of the basketball team and she finished her education via online correspondence and received her GED in February 2008 through Tangipahoa Parish School System Adult Education Center. In February 2002, Spears made her debut in the Paramount Pictures drama film Crossroads which starred her sister. Spears made a cameo, playing the version of Britneys character. Following Crossroads, Nickelodeon cast Spears as a performer in the eighth season of the sketch comedy series All That. The season followed a hiatus of the series. Spears portrayed various roles through the two seasons she appeared in as well as herself, Spearss performance received positive reviews from critics with many complimenting her comedic timing and being a highlight of the show. Spears did not return for the tenth and final season to pursue other roles on the network. In August 2004, Spears signed a development deal with Nickelodeon in which she would star as the protagonist in her own scripted television series that would air on the network, the series went on to be titled Zoey 101. Spears portrayed the role of Zoey Brooks and centered on Zoey and her friends who attend a boarding school. Spears recorded the theme song, titled Follow Me, which was written by her sister Britney Spears. Filmed at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, the series premiered on January 9,2005, Spears won a Young Artist Award and a Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards for her performance. Nickelodeon announced the season would be the series last season. Christopher Michael Massey is an American actor, comedian and rapper best known for starring as Michael Barret in the Nickelodeon television series Zoey 101. Massey has received awards and nominations including a Young Artist Award. He is also known for appearing in commercials in the early 2000s. He is the brother of actor Kyle Massey. Massey started his career at a young age, appearing in commercials for Capn Crunch. Zoey 101 was nominated for a 2005 Emmy for Outstanding Childrens Program, Massey is the older brother of Kyle Massey, who starred in the Disney sitcom series Cory in the House, Thats So Raven, and is a voice actor in Fish Hooks. He has guest starred alongside his brother on a Thats So Raven episode Five Finger Discount, Massey and his brother have had small roles on the sitcom The Parkers. Massey was born in Atlanta, Georgia and he is also a singer-songwriter and has a YouTube channel highlighting his music. They formed a group known as the Massey Boyz and are working on an album and their new single Ridin Wit My Brother was released on YouTube with a music video on May 27,2009. He is friends with Miley Cyrus, Chris Picard and Cole Sprouse and he is also good friends with Destinee Monroe and Paris Monroe, who are known for their singing as Destinee & Paris. Austin Robert Butler is an American actor and singer. He currently portrays Wil Ohmsford in The Shannara Chronicles, Austin Butler was born on August 17,1991, in Anaheim, California, the son of Lori Anne, an aesthetician, and David Butler. He has an older sister Ashley, who worked as a background-actor alongside him on Neds Declassified School Survival Guide, when Butler was thirteen, he was approached by a representative from a background-acting management company at the Orange County Fair who helped him get started in the entertainment industry. He found that he enjoyed it and soon began taking acting classes and his friend on the show, Lindsey Shaw, introduced him to her manager, Pat Cutler who immediately offered to represent him, and from that point on, Butler began taking acting seriously as a career. In the movie, his character, along with his family, battles to save their vacation home, Butler portrayed the cousin of Alexas character Ruby, whom he has a crush on, reasoning that it was because he never grew up with her. In June of that year, Butler appeared in two consecutive Jonas episodes where he played Stone Stevens, and in December of that year, Butlers guest-starred on CSI, Miami and The Defenders. In the film, Butler played Peyton Leverette, a student filmmaker who finds Sharpay nearly as fascinating as she finds herself. So, I went and met with the director, and it went really well, the film wrapped production in July 2010 and was released direct-to-DVD on April 19,2011. In the year 2011, he booked the role of Wilke on the ABC Family series Switched at Birth and it follows a group of young burglars as they target the homes of some of Hollywoods celebrities. Jennifer Grey of Dirty Dancing plays Iris Garvey, the mother of Butlers character Zack, the movie also stars Yin Chang, Renee Olstead and Spencer Locke. The movie was released on September 26,2011, the Carrie Diaries is based on Candace Bushnells novel by the same name and follows Bradshaws life in the 1980s as a teenager in New York City. The show was cancelled on May 8,2014 after two seasons, in April 2014, it was announced that Butler had joined the cast of the play Death of the Author at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles. He played the role of Bradley, a student with a double major in political science and math. The play is directed by Bart DeLorenzo and written by Steven Drukman, following previews on May 20,2014, the play ran from May 28 to June 29. In August 2014, The Hollywood Reporter, announced that Butler has been cast in a movie called Yoga Hosers, the film is about 15-year-old yoga nuts, Colleen Collette and Collete McKenzie, who get themselves jobs after school. When an evil threatens them, they join forces with a man-hunter named Guy Lapointe, the films also stars Johnny Depp, Lily-Rose Depp, Harley Quinn Smith and Haley Joel Osment. In September 2014, it was announced that Butler had joined the cast of Arrow as the role of Chase. His character will be playing the DJ and the love interest of Willa Hollands character Thea Queen and he also co-starred with Miranda Cosgrove and Tom Sizemore in the thriller film The Intruders

Pepperdine University is a private, not-for-profit, coeducational research university affiliated with the Churches of Christ. Pepperdine is ranked 50th among National Universities, 29th among Best Value Schools, the university was also ranked 130th in Americas Best Colleges by Forbes in 2016. Courses are taught at the campus, six graduate campuses in southern California. The Ed. D. program in Organizational leadership, has held courses in China, Argentina, Chile, Belize, Costa Rica. In February 1937, against the backdrop of the Great Depression, by April 6,1938, George Pepperdine College was fully accredited by the Northwest Association. Considered it wrong to build up a fortune and use it selfishly. Mr. Pepperdine voiced his twofold objective for the college that bore his name, First, we want to provide first-class, fully accredited academic training in the liberal arts. Secondly, we are dedicated to a greater goal—that of building in the student a Christ-like life, a love for the church. By the 1960s, the college faced serious problems. The situation exploded in the 1965 Watts Riots, in 1969 activists in the Watts area threatened to burn down the campus, however, they were talked out of it after all-night negotiations by then-President M. Norvel Young. In addition, the Vermont Avenue campus was running out of room to expand, Pepperdine favored the Westlake Village location until the Adamson-Rindge family, who owned hundreds of acres near Malibu, offered 138 acres of land. Despite concerns over building costs on the site, the school decided to move forward based on its prime location. Construction began on April 13,1971 and the new campus opened for student enrollment in September 1972, the campus and many of its buildings were planned by Los Angeles-based architect and urban planner William Pereira. Pepperdine gained university status in 1971 when the school of law was added, in the 1980s, Pepperdine rose to prominence as one of the United States leading centers of conservative politics, attracting many conservative-leaning professors from nearby UCLA and USC. Prominent conservatives on the Pepperdine faculty have included Bruce Herschensohn, Ben Stein, Kenneth Starr, Arthur Laffer, Douglas Kmiec, in 1985,1993 and 1996, massive brushfires threatened the campus with destruction, but firefighters successfully protected almost all structures. On October 21,2007, fast-moving wildfires forced campus residents to relocate and shelter in the Firestone Field house and Cafeteria, similarly, another November 2007 fire in Corral Canyon, accidentally set off by a group of Los Angeles youths, caused an evacuation of the Drescher Campus. However, most students were off-campus for the Thanksgiving holiday, the main campus is located among several ridges that overlook the Pacific Ocean and the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California. A film, also called a movie, motion picture, theatrical film or photoplay, is a series of still images which, when shown on a screen, creates the illusion of moving images due to the phi phenomenon. This optical illusion causes the audience to perceive continuous motion between separate objects viewed rapidly in succession, the process of filmmaking is both an art and an industry. The word cinema, short for cinematography, is used to refer to the industry of films. Films were originally recorded onto plastic film through a photochemical process, the adoption of CGI-based special effects led to the use of digital intermediates. Most contemporary films are now fully digital through the process of production, distribution. Films recorded in a form traditionally included an analogous optical soundtrack. It runs along a portion of the film exclusively reserved for it and is not projected, Films are cultural artifacts created by specific cultures. They reflect those cultures, and, in turn, affect them, Film is considered to be an important art form, a source of popular entertainment, and a powerful medium for educating—or indoctrinating—citizens. The visual basis of film gives it a power of communication. Some films have become popular worldwide attractions by using dubbing or subtitles to translate the dialog into the language of the viewer, some have criticized the film industrys glorification of violence and its potentially negative treatment of women. The individual images that make up a film are called frames, the perception of motion is due to a psychological effect called phi phenomenon. The name film originates from the fact that film has historically been the medium for recording and displaying motion pictures. Many other terms exist for a motion picture, including picture, picture show, moving picture, photoplay. The most common term in the United States is movie, while in Europe film is preferred. Terms for the field, in general, include the big screen, the screen, the movies, and cinema. In early years, the sheet was sometimes used instead of screen. Preceding film in origin by thousands of years, early plays and dances had elements common to film, scripts, sets, costumes, production, direction, actors, audiences, storyboards, much terminology later used in film theory and criticism apply, such as mise en scène. Single-camera setup

The single-camera setup, or single-camera mode of production, also known as Portable Single Camera, is a method of filmmaking and video production. In this setup, each of the shots and camera angles is taken using the same camera. Choices can then be made during the editing process for when in the scene to use each shot. This also then allows parts of the scene to be removed if it is felt that the scene is too long, in practice, sometimes two cameras shooting from the same angle are used, one to capture a medium shot, the other a close-up during the same take. Unlike film producers, who almost always opt for single-camera shooting, single-camera is mostly reserved for prime-time dramas, made-for-TV movies, music videos and commercial advertisements. Soap operas, talk shows, game shows, most reality television series, Multiple-camera shooting is the only way that an ensemble of actors presenting a single performance before a live audience can be recorded from multiple perspectives. Also for standard, dialogue-driven domestic situation comedies, the multi-camera technique, situation comedies may potentially be shot in either multiple- or single-camera modes. Several comedy series of the era also use of feature film techniques. These effects were created using editing and optical printing techniques, in the case of Get Smart, the single-camera technique also allowed the series to present fast-paced and tightly-edited fight and action sequences reminiscent of the spy dramas that it parodied. Single-camera comedies were also prevalent into the early 1970s, with its large cast, varied locations, and seriocomic tone, the TV series M*A*S*H was shot using single-camera style. Letterbox
–
Letterboxing is the practice of transferring film shot in a widescreen aspect ratio to standard-width video formats while preserving the films original aspect ratio. The resulting videographic image has mattes above and below it, these mattes are part of the image, LBX or LTBX are the identifying abbreviations for films and images so formatted. The term refers to the shape of a box, a slot in a wall or door through which mail is delivered, being rectangular. Letterboxing is used as an alternative to a full-screen, pan-and-scan transfer of a film image to videotape or videodisc. This was often done for letterbox widescreen anime on VHS, though the practice of hiding subtitles within the lower matte also is done with symmetrical mattes, albeit with less space available. The placing of soft subtitles within the picture or matte varies according to the DVD player being used, the first use of letterbox in consumer video appeared with the RCA Capacitance Electronic Disc videodisc format. Initially, letterboxing was limited to several key sequences of a such as opening and closing credits. The first fully letterboxed CED release was Amarcord in 1984, and several others followed including The Long Goodbye, Monty Python, each disc contains a label noting the use of RCAs innovative wide-screen mastering technique. In some continents such as North America, almost all VHS titles were released in pan-and-scan versions. However, most later Laserdiscs and some VHS releases were released in their original widescreen versions, some DVD releases of films are in full screen only, due to whatever existing master is available or basing on what format demographics prefer to see on a certain title. In other territories, such as Europe and Asia, widescreen versions of films on VHS and Laserdisc were much more common in those territories and this is more apparent in pan-and-scanned movies that remain entirely on the center area of the film image. The term SmileBox is a trademark used to describe a type of letterboxing for Cinerama films. The image is produced with 3D mapping technology to approximate a curved screen, some titles that were previously released in full screen only on VHS and DVD are now being issued in their original widescreen ratio on recent DVDs and Blu-rays. Digital broadcasting allows 1.78,1 widescreen format transmissions without losing resolution, most television programming in the United States, Britain and France is in standard-definition 16,9 and is transmitted in anamorphic format on digital platforms. When using a 4,3 television, it is possible to display such programming in either a letterbox format or in a 4,3 centre-cut format. A letterboxed 14,9 compromise ratio was often broadcast in analogue transmissions in European countries making the transition from 4,3 to 16,9. Current high-definition television systems use video displays with an aspect ratio than older television sets. A boarding school is a school at which most or all of the students live during the part of the year that they go to lessons. The word boarding is used in the sense of bed and board, i. e. lodging, some boarding schools also have day students who attend the institution by day and return to their families in the evenings. Many independent schools are boarding schools, Boarding school pupils normally return home during the school holidays and often weekends, but in some cultures may spend most of their childhood and adolescent life away from their families. In the United States, boarding schools comprise various grades, most commonly grades seven or nine through grade twelve—the high school years, other schools are for younger children, grades two through eight. A military school, or military academy, also features military education, in the former Soviet Union schools were introduced, these sometimes are known as Internat-schools. Some schools were a type of specialized school with a focus in a particular field or fields such as mathematics, physics, language, science, sports. Other schools were associated with orphanages after all children enrolled in Internat-school automatically. Also, separate boarding schools were established for children with special needs, general schools offered extended stay programs featuring cheap meals for children and preventing them from coming home too early before parents were back from work. In post-soviet countries, the concept of boarding school differs from country to country, the term boarding school often refers to classic British boarding schools and many boarding schools around the world are modeled on these. A typical boarding school has separate residential houses, either within the school grounds or in the surrounding area. Pupils generally need permission to go outside defined school bounds, they may be allowed to travel off-campus at certain times, depending on country and context, boarding schools generally offer one or more options, full, weekly, or on a flexible schedule. Each may be assisted in the management of the house by a housekeeper often known as matron. In the U. S. boarding schools often have a resident family that lives in the dorm and they also have janitorial staff for maintenance and housekeeping, but typically do not have tutors associated with an individual dorm. Nevertheless, older pupils are often unsupervised by staff, and a system of monitors or prefects gives limited authority to senior pupils, houses readily develop distinctive characters, and a healthy rivalry between houses is often encouraged in sport. Houses may also have common rooms for television and relaxation and kitchens for snacks, some facilities may be shared between several houses or dorms. Southern California, often abbreviated as SoCal, is a geographic and cultural region that generally comprises Californias 10 southernmost counties. The region is described as eight counties, based on demographics and economic ties, Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Santa Barbara. The more extensive 10-county definition, which includes Kern and San Luis Obispo counties, is used and is based on historical political divisions. Southern California is an economic center for the state of California. Malibu, California
–
Malibu is a beach city in Los Angeles County, California, situated 30 miles west of Downtown Los Angeles. Known for its Mediterranean climate, a 21-mile strip of the Malibu coast incorporated in 1991 into the City of Malibu, the area is known for being the home of Hollywood movie stars, people in the entertainment industry, and other affluent residents. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 12,645, signs around the city proclaim 27 miles of scenic beauty, referring to the historical 27-mile Malibu coast spanning from Tuna Canyon west to Point Mugu in Ventura County. Most Malibu residents live within a few hundred yards of Pacific Coast Highway, for many residents of the unincorporated canyon areas, Malibu has the closest commercial centers and are included in the Malibu zip codes. The city is bounded by Topanga to the east, the Santa Monica Mountains to the north, the Pacific Ocean to the south. Nicknamed the Bu by surfers and locals, beaches along the Malibu coast include Surfrider Beach, Zuma Beach, Malibu Beach, Topanga Beach, Point Dume Beach, County Line and they named it Humaliwo or the surf sounds loudly. The citys name derives from this, as the Hu syllable is not stressed, explorer Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo is believed to have moored at Malibu Lagoon, at the mouth of Malibu Creek, to obtain fresh water in 1542. The Spanish presence returned with the California mission system, and the area was part of Rancho Topanga Malibu Sequit—a 13 and that ranch passed intact to Frederick Hastings Rindge in 1891. Few roads even entered the area before 1929, when the state won another court case, by then May Rindge was forced to subdivide her property and begin selling and leasing lots. In 1926, in an effort to selling land to stave off insolvency. At its height, Malibu Potteries employed over 100 workers, and produced decorative tiles which furnish many Los Angeles-area public buildings, the factory, located one-half mile east of the pier, was ravaged by a fire in 1931. Although the factory reopened in 1932, it could not recover from the effects of the Great Depression. A distinct hybrid of Moorish and Arts and crafts designs, Malibu tile is considered highly collectible. Fine examples of the tiles may be seen at the Adamson House and Serra Retreat, the unfinished building was sold to the Franciscan Order in 1942 and is operated as a retreat facility, Serra Retreat. It burned in the 1970 fire and was using many of the original tiles. Most of the Big Rock Drive area was purchased in 1936 by William Randolph Hearst and he sold the lower half of his holdings there in 1944 to Art Jones. Jones was one of the prominent early realtors in Malibu, starting with the leases of Rindge land in Malibu Colony. He was also the owner/part-owner of the Malibu Inn, Malibu Trading Post, mcAnany Way is named after him

Valencia is a neighborhood in Santa Clarita located within Los Angeles County, California. It is in the corner of the Santa Clarita Valley. Most of Valencia is part of a community, it was one of the four unincorporated communities that merged to create the city of Santa Clarita, California. In 1769, the Spanish Portola expedition, first Europeans to see areas of California, came up and over the pass from the San Fernando Valley. They found a native village there and witnessed a wedding celebration. Fray Juan Crespi, a Franciscan missionary travelling with the expedition, named the river Santa Clara, on the return trip, however, the party found a less strenuous trail through Conejo Valley. Later travelers also preferred that route, and Mission San Fernando Rey de España was established down in the valley, the master planned portion of Valencia was first planned in the 1960s by the Newhall Land and Farming Company. Development began in 1967, continues to the present day, and is nearing completion, Valencia is notable for its landscaped boulevards connecting a mix of apartment buildings, single-family detached homes, shopping centers, office parks and industrial warehouses. Major schools in Valencia include California Institute of the Arts, College of the Canyons, West Ranch High School, Valencias residential areas are separated into villages, each with its own lifestyle. Almost all of Valencias villages are close to schools, shopping, in many of the villages, homeowner associations oversee the quality and upkeep of housing developments ranging in size from a few dozen homes to over a thousand. Many villages also have a Neighborhood Watch program in force, Valencia also has a system of paved pathways over or under the streets and boulevards. They connect the community, making it possible to travel throughout nearly all of Valencia on foot or by bicycle without crossing a street at grade level. The paseo network is connected to the Santa Clara River Trail which runs east along the Santa Clara River to Canyon Country, landowners in the Valencia area pay special taxes to maintain landscaping and the paseo system. Emmy Award

An Emmy Award, or simply Emmy, recognizes excellence in the television industry, and corresponds to the Academy Award, the Tony Award, and the Grammy Award. Because Emmy Awards are given in various sectors of the American television industry, Regional Emmy Awards are also presented throughout the country at various times through the year, recognizing excellence in local and statewide television. In addition, International Emmys are awarded for excellence in TV programming produced, each is responsible for administering a particular set of Emmy ceremonies. The Los Angeles-based Academy of Television Arts & Sciences established the Emmy Award as part of an image-building and public relations opportunity. The first Emmy Awards ceremony took place on January 25,1949, at the Hollywood Athletic Club, shirley Dinsdale has the distinction of receiving the very first Emmy Award for Most Outstanding Television Personality, during that first awards ceremony. In the 1950s, the ATAS expanded the Emmys into a national event, in 1955, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences was formed in New York City as a sister organization to serve members on the East Coast, and help to also supervise the Emmys. The NATAS also established regional chapters throughout the United States, with each one developing their own local Emmy awards show for local programming, the ATAS still however maintained its separate regional ceremony honoring local programming in the Los Angeles Area. Originally there was only one Emmy Awards ceremony held per year to honor shows nationally broadcast in the United States, in 1974, the first Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony was held to specifically honor achievement in national daytime programming. Other area-specific Emmy Awards ceremonies soon followed, also, the International Emmy Awards, honoring television programs produced and initially aired outside the U. S. was established in the early 1970s. Meanwhile, all Emmys awarded prior to the emergence of these separate, in 1977, due to various conflicts, the ATAS and the NATAS agreed to split ties. However, they agreed to share ownership of the Emmy statue and trademark. With the rise of television in the 1980s, cable programs first became eligible for the Primetime Emmys in 1988. The ATAS also began accepting original online-only web television programs in 2013, the Emmy statuette, depicting a winged woman holding an atom, was designed by television engineer Louis McManus, who used his wife as the model. The TV Academy rejected a total of forty-seven proposals before settling on McManus design in 1948. The statuette has become the symbol of the TV Academys goal of supporting and uplifting the art and science of television, The wings represent the muse of art. When deciding a name for the award, Academy founder Syd Cassyd originally suggested Ike, however, Ike was also the popular nickname of World War II hero and future U. S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower, and the Academy members wanted something unique. Finally, television engineer and the third president, Harry Lubcke, suggested the name Immy.
