The Afghanistan–Iran border is 921 km (572 mi) in length and runs from the tripoint with Turkmenistan in the north to the tripoint with Pakistan in the south.

Afghanistan, officially the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, is a landlocked country located at the crossroads of Central Asia and South Asia. The National Statistics Information Authority of Afghanistan estimated the population to be 32.9 million as of 2020.
