HaHadashot 12 is a brand of Israeli television news programmes produced for Keshet 12 by Keshet Media Group subsidiary Israel Television News Company, a.k.a. Hevrat HaHadashot, its flagship evening news bulletin is broadcast at 8:00 p.m. IST, anchored by Yonit Levi and Danny Kushmaro; the company the news department of Channel 2 – where its bulletins were known as HaHadashot 2 ) – was funded by Keshet Media Group and Reshet. From the 1 November 2017 replacement of Channel 2 with Keshet 12 and Reshet 13 until 15 January 2019, its news programming was split between the two channels; the flagship bulletin was simulcast on both channels. During the period, The company's programmes did not cross-promote Keshet's and Reshet's television shows during this period. After the 16 January 2019 merger between Reshet and Channel 10, Keshet took full ownership of the company. Reshet took resources and programmes from Channel 10's news production company, which changed its on-air brand to HaHadashot 13. Since 2000, HaHadashot 12's studios have been in the Kiryat HaTikshoret of the Globus Group company in Neve Ilan of the Jerusalem corridor.
Before that, they were at the Jerusalem Capital Studios in the Beit Egged building in Jerusalem City. Prior to the 2017 relaunch, the company's programmes were presented from a temporary studio in Neve Ilan while the main studio was being renovated. HaHadashot 12 was founded in 1993 with Channel 2; the company's news is viewed in Israel. It expanded beyond the evening news bulletin, began airing programmes such as First Edition, Six With, Meet The Press, Friday Studio and The Economic Programme; the company faced competition from other TV channels, Internet websites, radio. Channel 2's three franchisees were Reshet and Telad; the company was founded to produce Channel 2's news broadcasts. Its first news broadcast, on 4 November 1993 from Jerusalem Capital Studios, was less than five minutes long and was anchored by Ya'akov Eilon; as a result of Channel 2, Channel 1 decided to move Mabat to 8:00 pm, renovate its Romema studios, create new introductions and extending Mabat to 50 minutes. Eilon Shalev was the company's first CEO.
When the company was founded, Shalom Kital said that instead of hiring Channel 1 reporters, he would hire radio and newspaper reporters. The first reporters were Ya'akov Eilon, Miki Haimovich, Guy Zohar, Dana Weiss, Gideon Sa'ar, Rina Matsliah, Oshrat Kotler, Emanuel Rozen and Aharon Barnea. After several years, reporters from Channel 1 and Channel 10 were hired. Channel 2's news broadcasts became popular, attracted a larger audience than Channel 1 in May 1994; the competing channels covered terrorist attacks as breaking news, with uncensored depictions of body parts. Despite their competition, both channels simulcast the signing of the Israel–Jordan peace treaty at the end of October 1994 and Yitzhak Rabin's funeral. Rabin was assassinated on 4 November 1995, two years after Channel 2 was founded. Dov GilHar was a few meters away from the assassination sent a message to Roni Daniel and Aharon Barnea, the company went into emergency mode. Yoram Arbel broke into Channel 2's broadcast from its Telad studios, told viewers about the assassination.
Moshe Nusmaum announced the assassin's name a few minutes after Ya'akov Eilon replaced Guy Zohar in Jerusalem Capital Studios. After the announcement of Rabin's death, Rafi Reshef anchored the broadcast all night. CEO Nachman Shai understood that the competition hurt Channel 2 and Channel 1, asked Israel Broadcasting Authority CEO Mordechai Kirshenbaum to share resources. Kirshenbaum refused, Channel 2's viewership increased. Six weeks after Rabin's death, the company bought amateur photographer Roni Kempler's videotape of the assassination for₪1 million and re-aired it; the company prepared to compete with Channel 1 during its first. Reporters were placed at all party headquarters, the prediction-poll results were announced at 10 pm. In 1997, Haim Yavin was replaced as anchor of Channel 1's Mabat by Geula Even. Ya'akov Eilon and Miki Haimovich anchored Channel 2's evening news; the company built new studios, two CH-53 helicopters crashed. Both channels interrupted their broadcasts with the breaking news.
A photographer accidentally filmed a soldier's bag with his name on it, painfully informing the soldier's family of his death. Television audience measurement began in Israel on 15 February 1998, the Israel Audience Research Board began including the company's broadcasts on 5 July of that year. Channel 2's evening news received a 30-40 percent share of the audience, other programs had high ratings; that year, the company launched a website with news updates, information about the company's programs, anchors and commentators and links to the desks, live video streams and featured items. The website was up for three years. In 1999, the company covered its second election.
In mathematics and economics, the arc elasticity is the elasticity of one variable with respect to another between two given points. It is the ratio of the percentage change of one of the variables between the two points to the percentage change of the other variable, it contrasts with the point elasticity, the limit of the arc elasticity as the distance between the two points approaches zero and which hence is defined at a single point rather than for a pair of points. Like the point elasticity, the arc elasticity can vary in value depending on the starting point. For example, the arc elasticity of supply of a product with respect to the product's price could be large when the starting and ending prices are both low, but could be small when they are both high; the y arc elasticity of x is defined as: E x, y = % change in x % change in y where the percentage change in going from point 1 to point 2 is calculated relative to the midpoint: % change in x = x 2 − x 1 / 2. The use of the midpoint arc elasticity formula was advocated by R. G. D. Allen for use when x refers to the quantity of a good demanded or supplied and y refers to its price, due to the following properties: it is symmetric with respect to the two prices and quantities, it is independent of the units of measurement, it yields a value of unity if the total revenues at the two points are equal.
The arc elasticity is used when there is not a general function for the relationship of two variables, but two points on the relationship are known. In contrast, calculation of the point elasticity requires detailed knowledge of the functional relationship and can be calculated wherever the function is defined. For comparison, the y point elasticity of x is given by E x, y = ∂ x ∂ y ⋅ y x = ∂ ln x ∂ ln y The arc elasticity of quantity demanded Q with respect to price P known as the arc price elasticity of demand, is calculated as / Suppose that two points on a demand curve, are known; the arc elasticity is obtained using the formula E p = Q 2 − Q 1 / 2 P 2 − P 1 / 2. Suppose the quantity of hot dogs demanded at halftime of football games is measured at two different games at which two different prices are charged: at one measurement the quantity demanded is 80 units, at the other measurement it is 120 units; the percent change, measured against the average, would be /)=40%. If the measurements were taken in reverse sequence, the absolute value of the percentage change would be the same.
In contrast, if the percentage change in quantity demanded were measured against the initial value, the calculated percentage change would be /80= 50%. The percent change for the reverse sequence of observations, 120 units to 80 units, would be /120 = -33.3%. The midpoint formula has the benefit that a percentage change from A to B is measured in absolute value as the same as one from B to A. Suppose that the change in the price of hot dogs, which led to this change in quantity demanded from 80 to 120, was from $3 to $1; the percent change in price measured against the midpoint would be (1-3

"Treegasm" is the fifth episode of the first season of the American animated television series Ugly Americans. Which aired on Comedy Central in the United States on April 14, 2010. In the episode, Mark meets a pair of tree creatures who are expected to participate in a public mating ritual sanctioned by New York City as a festival. Meanwhile, Callie demands to have sex with Mark to ease the pain from her shedding, Randall loses his penis after visiting a movie theater. Written by Daniel Powell and Greg White and directed by Aaron Augenblick and Lucy Snyder, "Treegasm" was inspired by funny-looking trees, such as trees that appear to have genitalia or are having sex; the episode marked a milestone with the staff, as it was the first episode to feature creatures they came up with themselves, as opposed to common creatures such as werewolves or zombies. Stand-up comic and actor Kumail Nanjiani guest stars in the episode as the tree Neel. According to Nielsen Media Research, the episode was watched by 2.05 million viewers in its original airing, an increase in viewership compared to the previous episode, "Blob Gets Job".
"Treegasm" and six other episodes from the season were released on DVD in the United States on October 5, 2010. Tourists visit Central Park for'Treegasm', a once-in-a-lifetime mating ritual between two tree creatures, or'treatures'; the trees grow towards each other for decades before engaging in a ritual known as "screwing". Mark Lilly can not understand. Demon bureaucrat Twayne Boneraper has been appointed to be in charge of the ceremony, but gives the job to Mark and wizard Leonard Powers as he has to spend four days to get fitted for a triple-breasted suit. Meanwhile, demon Callie Maggotbone demands to have sex with Mark, Leonard explains to him that a female demon's body is so toxic that she has to periodically shed it for a new one, sex is the only thing that can ease her pain. In Central Park, Mark introduces himself to the tree creatures and Neel, as their "screwing coordinator". Mark remarks that it is refreshing for two beings to be so committed to each other as opposed to just having sex with strangers.
Neel begins to feel anxious about the ritual, as Mark's remarks about having sex with others sounds more exciting. Neel breaks up with Nicky as Mark opened his eyes for other opportunities. Neel states that he wants someone crazy. Mark accepts Neel's change of heart, but Leonard explains to him that the tree creatures are forced to mate because their roots run so deep that they encompass Manhattan. If Neel does not ejaculate soon, his root could endanger the entire city. Twayne assigns Mark to fix the problem, Mark enlists his zombie roommate Randall to talk about his unhealthy sex experiences to Neel. Randall's story makes Neel go back to Nicky. Later,'Treegasm' is about to commence, but Neel is nervous because of the pressure and the event's many spectators, his roots begin to come up above ground and seize different buildings. The pressure causes his sexual organ to go flaccid, Leonard enchants him with a magical spell that acts like Viagra. Callie takes Mark with her into a portable toilet for the final sex before her shedding.
Just as Neel is about to penetrate Nicky, Callie sheds and reveals herself in her new form while standing naked, mimicking The Birth of Venus. The pressure causes Neel to suffer from premature ejaculation and he ejaculates all over the park; when the crowd has left, Leonard enchants Neel with a spell to make him less nervous and the ritual continues without spectators. Callie and Mark meet at a bar for drinks, but when Mark invites her to sit with him, she teases him, saying she lost respect for him for allowing her to do some of the things she did to him. Meanwhile, Randall loses his penis after having sex with a female. After he fails to find it, he tries to get used to life without having a penis, but considers killing himself. However, he receives a call from the police who informs him that they have found his penis, but tells him that it did not fall off, it ran away because it did not like the way Randall treated it. To make it come back, Randall has to follow a few conditions, such as accepting it as an equal, which Randall gladly approves of.
"Treegasm" was written by Daniel Powell and Greg White and directed by Aaron Augenblick and Lucy Snyder. The story originated from when series developer and executive producer David M. Stern saw a tree in his backyard that looked like it had an "enormous set of testicles". A writer's assistant for the series showed him a website with images of different trees that looked like they had genitalia or were having sex; the trees spurred an idea involving two trees, growing towards each other for 150 years and one of them gets "cold feet" at the last minute. Creator Devin Clark said that he likes the episode because it focuses on creatures that the staff came up with themselves, rather than classic mythological creatures. Prior to the episode, the writers used common beings, such as werewolves and zombies, so that viewers would get familiar with the series' world. Co-writer Powell researched "tree mythology", such as the evil trees from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, before writing the episode, but stated that he could not find much on the subject.
According to Stern, it was "very hard" to express in script form how funny it was that the trees do not move at all. Since they do not move, their mouths were designed to look like nutcracker mouths. Stand-up comic and actor Kumail Nanjiani guest starred in the episode as the tree Neel. In addition to the regular cast, recurring guest voice actors Julie Klausner and Pete Holmes made minor appearances in th
