Electric power

Electric Power is the rate, per unit time, at which electrical energy is transferred by an electric circuit. The SI unit of power is one joule per second. Electric power is produced by electric generators, but can be supplied by sources such as electric batteries, it is supplied to businesses and homes by the electric power industry through an electric power grid. Electric energy is sold by the kilowatt hour, the product of the power in kilowatts multiplied by running time in hours. Electric utilities measure energy using an electricity meter, which keeps a running total of the electric energy delivered to a customer. Electric power can be delivered over long distances by transmission lines and used for applications such as motion, light or heat with high efficiency. Electric power, like mechanical power, is the rate of doing work, measured in watts, represented by the letter P; the term wattage is used colloquially to mean "electric power in watts." From the standpoint of electric power, components in an electric circuit can be divided into two categories: Passive devices or loads: When electric charges move through a potential difference from a higher to a lower voltage, when conventional current moves from the positive terminal to the negative terminal, work is done by the charges on the device. The potential energy of the charges due to the voltage between the terminals is converted to kinetic energy in the device; these devices are called passive loads. Examples are electrical appliances, such as light bulbs, electric motors, electric heaters. In alternating current circuits the direction of the voltage periodically reverses, but the current always flows from the higher potential to the lower potential side. Active devices or power sources: If the charges are moved by an'exterior force' through the device in the direction from the lower electric potential to the higher, work will be done on the charges, energy is being converted to electric potential energy from some other type of energy, such as mechanical energy or chemical energy.

Devices in which this occurs are called active devices or power sources. Some devices can current through them. For example, a rechargeable battery acts as a source when it provides power to a circuit, but as a load when it is connected to a battery charger and is being recharged, or a generator as a power source and a motor as a load. Since electric power can flow either into or out of a component, a convention is needed for which direction represents positive power flow. Electric power flowing out of a circuit into a component is arbitrarily defined to have a positive sign, while power flowing into a circuit from a component is defined to have a negative sign, thus passive components have positive power consumption, while power sources have negative power consumption. This is called the passive sign convention. In the case of resistive loads, Joule's law can be combined with Ohm's law to produce alternative expressions for the amount of power, dissipated: P = I V = I 2 R = V 2 R, where R is the electrical resistance.

In alternating current circuits, energy storage elements such as inductance and capacitance may result in periodic reversals of the direction of energy flow. The portion of power flow that, averaged over a complete cycle of the AC waveform, results in net transfer of energy in one direction is known as real power; that portion of power flow due to stored energy, that returns to the source in each cycle, is known as reactive power. Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger

Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger is Toei's twenty-fifth production of the Super Sentai metaseries airing in 2001 and celebrated the franchise's 25th anniversary. Footage from this show was used in the 2002 American series Power Rangers Wild Force and was dubbed in 2010 as the retitled Power Rangers: Jungle Force for South Korean television in place of Samurai Sentai Shinkenger due to cultural reasons. In Japan, Gaoranger aired alongside Kamen Rider Agito. On May 14th, 2018, it was announced that Shout! Factory had licensed Gaoranger for release in North America and it was released on December 18, 2018; this is 11th Super Sentai to be released in North America DVD Region 1 as Jetman was released before Gaoranger. A millennia ago, humans fought a war against demon orges known as the Orgs. With the help of the Power Animals, the ancient Gao Warriors were able to defeat the Orgs' leader Hyakkimaru, sealing the Orgs away along with one of their own; when the seal wanes, the Power Animals select a new generation of Gao Warriors to fight the freed Orgs and protect all life on Earth.

The current Gao Warriors, the Gaorangers, are recruited to abandon their civilian lives and names while traveling to find the other Power Animals that were in hiding. Each of the Gaorangers' surnames either contain the kanji for their Power Animal ("lion", "eagle", "shark", "ox", "Oogami" from "wolf" or resemble the name of their Power Animal "Taiga" from "tiger". Gao Red Kakeru Shishi, the Blazing Lion and the main protagonist of the series, he was a veterinarian before becoming chosen by Gao Lion to become Gao Red. He has an affinity for animals, his other Power Animals are Gao Falcon. Gao Yellow Gaku Washio, the Noble Eagle was an airforce pilot before he was chosen first by Gao Eagle to become Gao Yellow, he is serious and regimental, deciding that the Gaorangers should refer to each other by color, instead of name. His other Power Animals are Gao Polar. Gao Blue Kai Samezu, the Surging Shark, was a freeter before he was chosen by Gao Shark to become Gao Blue, he is the most immature of the team.

His other Power Animal is Gao Giraffe, a tractor before. Gao Giraffe appeared in Gao Blue's dream and the dream comes true that Gao King was about to lose against the evil tribe and, why they needed Gao Giraffe to help them win against the evil tribe. Gao Giraffe will take Gao Gao Bear's place when it is chosen to fight. Gao Black Soutarou Ushigome, the Iron Bison, was a retired sumo wrestler, working as a florist before he was chosen by Gao Bison to become Gao Black, he is shyest of the team. His other Power Animals are Gao Madillo. Gao White Sae Taiga, the Belle Tiger, was a martial arts student under her father before she was chosen by Gao Tiger to be Gao White, she is the youngest and only female of the team. Her other Power Animals are Gao Gao Deer. Gao Silver Tsukumaro Oogami, the Sparking Wolf, was a Gao Warrior from the Heian period over 1,000 years ago, he used the power of the Dark Wolf Mask to defeat the evil Hyakkimaru. However, he was turned into Duke Org Rouki and got the other Gao Warriors to entomb him so he could not do any more harm.

He was awakened as Rouki in the present age, but was freed of his curse by the Gaorangers. As Gao Silver, his Power Animals are Gao Wolf, Gao Hammerhead, Gao Ligator; the Ogre Tribe Org is a race of Oni born from the madness of humans. Led by the Highness Duke Orgs from a cavern known as the Matrix, their attacks are overseen by the Duke Orgs. Xped Limited Raya Group, is an Internet of Things company based in Adelaide, Australia. Its patented. Auto Discovery Resource Control is an information system where resources, which may be attached to the Internet of Things, are described using Resource Modelling Language which allows them to be accessed by human users via a Device Browser app or by autonomous computers which may provide a device indexing and search function or by Artificial Intelligence agents or other inference engines. Resources may be any type of device, appliance or software that has an API defined using Resource Control Protocol. RCP is a REST protocol. An RCP path encodes the operation and data required to form a command that will be executed by the target resource. RCP is a text-based Application Layer Protocol that can be carried by many transport layers including IEEE 802.15.4, TCP/IP, UDP, SM-Bus and CAN-Bus. Resources are managed by a Device Server which may manage resources that are implemented using multiple different communications technologies.

Resources that do not natively implement the RCP protocol, are integrated into the ADRC system using an RML translation layer, a software module that provides a protocol translation function between the foreign protocol and RCP. The RML translation layer is responsible for providing an RML description for each of the supported devices of the foreign protocol. Multiple resources that share a common location or local network form a Domain; each domain is managed by a device server and resources may be associated with multiple domains if desired. A device server executes on a hardware gateway that exists at the edge of the Internet and a domain. Device servers respond to requests from device browsers which may be on the local network or across the Internet. Device servers receive unsolicited signals from resources and relay them on to clients. Device manufactures describe their device using RML, embedded into the device at the time of manufacture; when a device is on-boarded to a domain, the RML for the device is retrieved from the device by the device server.

When a device browser is used to interact with a device, it fetches the RML from the device server and uses it to create the user interface presented to the user. A device may have one or more RML descriptions thus allowing for varied user experiences to be provided; as well as using RML to create the user interface, the device browser uses RML to construct the RCP commands that implement the device's API. Together, these capabilities enable devices to be described without the need for a standardized profile as is required by other systems including ZigBee, Z-Wave, Bluetooth, USB and others. On-boarding of ADRC devices to a domain is achieved using Near Field Communications where a smartphone with an device browser installed is tapped on the device and information identifying the device is displayed to the user, asked to confirm the pairing. NFC is used as an out of band communication channel to exchange information securely between the device and device server so that a permanent long range communication channel can be established.

NFC is used to identify paired devices by tapping on the device which causes the device browser to jump to the device's information page which may contain a URL to find further information.
